It commenced operation under a new management team obtaining merchant bank license from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and became BRAC EPL (BRAC EPL Investments Ltd. & BRAC EPL Stock Brokerage Ltd.) from EPL in August 2009. BRAC Bank holds 76% of the equity of BRAC EPL, the rest held by a diverse group of international fund managers and capital market institutions at home and abroad. BRAC EPL Investments Ltd. delivers a whole range of investment banking services including traditional merchant ban king activities. It has already established itself as one of the top portfolio managers, serving more than 5600 clients country-wide from seven locations. In discharging professional services, BEIL makes concerted efforts to show ZERO tolerance towards non-compliance and emphasizes strict adherence to regulatory guidelines. The report focuses on “Business Process Reengineering of BRAC EPL Investments Limited ". BEIL commenced its business just 6 years back. So it can be said that it is comparatively a new organization in the market. After only two years of its inception, the company faced the biggest capital market turbulence in the history of financial markets of Bangladesh. Its upward trend of net income got broken as soon as the capital market storm hit. The report is enriched in the sterps that the organization should maintain to recover its current volatile situation by reengineering their business process. The financial performance analysis of BRAC EPL Investments Limited showed a significant deviation in the year 2014 in almost all the analyses. So, we can say that the capital market distress had a great impact on the profit growth of BRAC EPL. If BEIL acquire such steps of reengineering their business process then recent dilemma and distress management may recover earlier. One prerequisite of having a healthy investment climate in an economy is the availability of financing facility for the existing and potential borrowers. The two major sources of finance in any country are the banks and the capital market. For the fulfillment of the intended task, it was a preference to take Maple Leaf International School as the base to analyze, and two other well-known schools as Scholastica and Master Mind were also taken for comparing with the suggested one. Dhaka city is the base of many schools, both public and private, in Bangladesh. In this report, I explored different aspects of Retirement plan process in USA and Bangladesh. I have described how effective and well-regulated US retirement plan industry is and how much behind, unstructured Bangladesh pension system are. As a legal binding, all employers in USA are required to offer retirement plan to their employees whereas in Bangladesh only public sector organizations have retirement benefits for their employees. In Bangladesh, Private sector pension system is very unstructured and not all private company has retirement plan for their employees, if any then benefits they provide are much lower compared to the public sector. Bangladesh government need to adopt a Universal Pension Scheme for all private and public service holders. To ensure the transparency of managing the retirement funds, every retirement plan should be audited by a certified auditor. Government may impose legal provision on every company to manage the retirement fund in a proper way. It may only be possible to provide retirement benefits to all private and public sector employees if government pursue a structured policy and impose the law in ‘The Company Act.’ Bangladesh can take the US pension system as a benchmark to start the compulsory pension scheme in private sectors.Item A comparative study on credit risk management system of Prime Bank Limited(BRAC University, 2019-12) Hoque, Sumaiya; Ahmed, SalehuddinPrime bank limited is the emerging commercial bank in Bangladesh. ShamimNothing in this world is free from comparison. In the context of business comparison, the old and new ways of marketing have a lot of things to compare. There must be a sequence or a flow from the old to the new systems, but the old ones cannot be denied as, sometimes, old can be old. On the other hand, the new ones have to be well accepted to compete in the business market. A big challenge to celebrate the advantages minimizing the disadvantages. I tried to portray the comparison between traditional marketing and digital marketing as much as possible using examples of IPDC Finance Limited. In this time of technological advancement, every institution is in a competitive mood to be digitized. IPDC, as the first NBFI of Bangladesh, is not excluded from that competition. On the other hand, the old history of marketing system also cannot be abandoned as it enriched today’s image.Item A competitive analysis on media & advertising agencies in Bangladesh(BRAC University, 6/7/2021) Faisal, G.A.; Ahmed, RafiuddinThe modern period is the period of advertising, and the likelihood of advertising success is determined by more than just the degree of creativity. Advertising messages frequently emphasize the virtues of a product or service. Manufacturers or organizations are obligated to maintain the promised attributes in order for customers to continue to buy these products or services; otherwise, customers will buy less of their products or services and patronize their competitors instead. The process of media planning, procurement, and implementation is critical for a successful campaign to achieve the best possible advertising results. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the effects and circumstances of various agencies in Bangladesh, as well as to learn how a media agency operates and what function it plays in the marketing industry. In order to fulfill the above mentioned goal and complete the study flawlessly, I used both primary and secondary sources of data collecting in a sensible and balanced manner. I attempted to conduct research using a questionnaire that would serve the purpose in the most efficient and effective manner possible. Due to variables such as expected lack of cooperation from some authorities and data confidentiality, I had to rely on secondary sources such as the internet, websites, magazines, and newspapers. Throughout this research, I have noticed a number of facts about advertising firms, including their strengths, weaknesses, possibilities, and dangers, all of which ought to be mentioned. Most advertising companies are primarily concerned with the demands of consumers, regardless of the type of the product or service being marketed. People working at modestly positioned advertising companies do not receive appropriate training. There is a lack of specialization, improvisation, and dynamism as a result of this.Item A comprehensive analysis of sales & distribution of International Brands Ltd.
