Item First-Principles Study of Structural, Electronic and Optical Properties of Lead-Free Organic Inorganic Tin Halide Perovskites for Photovoltaic Applications(Daffodil International University, 17-01-01) ShalauddinPromising candidates in this respect are organometal perovskites ABX3, which have been intensely investigated during the last years. In this work, we have calculated the geometry optimization, band structure, optical properties and carrier mobility for tetragonal phase of non-toxic perovskite halide CH3NH3SnCl3 and CH3NH3SnI3 by applying density functional theory (DFT) with the generalized gradient approximation (GGA) correlation of Perdew-Berke-Erzndof (PBE). The results have showed that CH3NH3SnCl3and CH3NH3SnI3 have good optical absorption coefficient, which can be a good application for solar light harvester.Item An Insight Survey of Anti-ulcer Drugs Prescribing Trends and Market Analysis in Bangladesh(Daffodil International University, 18-06-07) Siddique, Md. YeasinGastrointestinal disorder is very common in our country, if we make a survey with prescriptions we can see a huge portion of total prescriptions contain one or several anti-ulcer drugs. However it is not always prescribed for GI disorder but also in the protective purposes. Data on such an important and so used drug group should be useful in many purposes. From that sense this project was chosen and conducted, by the grace of Allah it was completed without any complications. The goal of this study is to determine which generic names are preferred by doctors in Dhaka City and Bangladesh while prescribing anti-ulcer medications. The doctors and patients of Dhaka City were personally interviewed for a questionnaire-based field study, and the results were noted and prescriptions were gathered. The questionnaire asked about factors like the age range of patients who received anti-ulcer medicine prescriptions, the cause of the preference, and the preference for pediatric, geriatric, and pregnant patients. Esomeprazole was the preferred drug overall (32.3% of all prescriptions), but for pregnant women, pantoprazole was chosen (40.3%). The poll received a fair response rate. The survey discovered that most doctors do not favor anti-ulcer medications for pediatric patients or geriatric patients in particular. The most important criteria to consider while selecting a particular anti-ulcer medicine were efficacy and safety. HabiburRespiratory disease is the leading cause of death. Importantly, it remains the foremost cause of preventable death globally. The rise in respiratory diseases in Bangladesh is due to increasing air pollution.In Bangladesh, respiratory tract infection like pneumonia is responsible for the deaths of children under five years of age. Others are like bronchitis, acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, sinusitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis and also in common cold cases antibiotics are more frequently prescribed for respiratory tract infectious diseases. The main objective of this survey was to analyze the prescribed group & generic of antibiotics that are use for respiratory tract infection diseases in Bangladesh.This study carried out at the outdoor of Shaheed Ahsan Ullah Master General Hospital, Tongi, Gazipur from June, 2019 to August, 2019 and finally 200 prescriptions (135 were male, 30 were female & 35 children‟s) selected from 235 that were completely respiratory tract disease drugs content which were prescribed by specialist and general physician. Statistical analysis reveals that Cephalosporin ( Cefixime Trihydrate 34 %, Cefpodoxime + Clavulanic Acid 6.5 %, Cefuroxim Axetil 3 %, Cefuroxim Axetil + Clavulanic Acid 18.5 % ) antibiotic are prescribed mostly than other class of drugs. Changes in patterns of respiratory tract disease management and drug use are changing day by day. Azithromycin 22 %, clarithromycin 5.5 %, levofloxacin 8 %, moxifloxacin 2.5 % drugs are also prescribed prominently. Further research and awareness program should be done in this area to decrease risk factors for respiratory tract disease. Golam Dostogir; Ullah, Abu Naser ZafarDalits are referred to “shattered,” “outcasts,” and socially marginalized community in Bangladesh. In particular, Dalit adolescent girls are the most vulnerable owing to their caste and gender. Prior studies have looked at the prevalence and effects of drug addiction among the youths in mainstream population, but the Dalit adolescents were excluded from the samples. The study aimed to investigate the prevalence of drug addiction and substance use among the Dalit married adolescent girls (MAGs), and to identify the significant predictors associated with this addiction. A cross-sectional survey was carried out among 300 MAGs in the Dalit community. Involving systematic random sampling, participants were selected from both urban and rural settings located in Dhaka and Gaibandha districts. Bivariate and multivariate logistic regressions were performed to explore the significant factors associated with drug addiction. The prevalence of drug addiction was 11.3% among married Dalit adolescent girls. Multivariate analysis identified that participants’ habit of smoking (AOR=5.210, 95% CI=2.413–11.250), participant’s husband’s habit of smoking (AOR=10.415, 95% CI=3.911–27.739), and habit of using alcohol/highly risky substances (AOR=19.030, 95% CI=6.481–55.875) were significant associated with drug addiction. An alarming proportion of Dalit adolescent girls were recorded to be habituated in various forms of drugs use. Therefore, immediate policy measures focusing intensive campaigns, targeted counseling, and health education programs need to design to get over the risky health behaviors.Item Psychological Impact of School Closure and Social Isolation on Female Students During COVID-19(Daffodil International University, 21-11-10) Mustari, Sohela; Rahman, Mehe Zebunnesa; Kar, SusmitaThis article describes the socio-psychological effects of school closure on school-going urban girls in Dhaka, Bangladesh, during the Covid-19 pandemic. It illustrates the life of urban students in Bangladesh during the school-closing time and relates it to their previous normal life. It asserts that the strengths of traditional schools have important relevance to socialization, which was significantly disturbed during the pandemic due to home confinement. Based on both qualitative and quantitative data, the following components led to an understanding of the schools' role in the socialization of urban female students in Bangladesh: emotional attachments, interpersonal interactions, and physical activity. During confinement, the absence of these components put the students' socialization process at risk, resulting in socio-psychological changes in activities and behavioral patterns. Finally, the article recommends not considering online classes as the "new normal"; working toward vaccination and obtaining suitable health equipment for the reopening of traditional schools will do more to ensure the socio-psychological health of future generations.Item A Machine Vision Approach for Recognizing Coastal Fish(Scopus, 22) Raihan, Afiq; Sharmin, Israt; Khan, B M Marjan; Jabiullah, Md. Ismail; Habib, Md. Tarekt Coastal fish is one of the prominent marine resources, which takes a necessary role in the economic growth of a country. Because of environmental issues along with other reasons, not only most of the marine resources are diminishing but also many coastal fishes are getting extinct gradually. As a result, the young peoples have insufficient knowledge of coastal fish. This issue can be solved with the use of vision-based technologies. To deal with this situation, a coastal fish recognition system based on machine vision is conceived, which can be approached by the images of coastal fish that are captured with a portable device and identify the fish to recognize fish. Numerous experimental analyses are executed to exhibit the benefit of this proposed expert system. In the beginning, the conversion of a color image into a gray-scale image occurs and the gray-scale histogram is developed. Using the histogram-based method, image segmentation is conducted. After that, a set of sixteen features comprising four classes is extracted to be fed to a classifier. For reducing the number of features, PCA is applied. To recognize coastal fish, five classical machine learning classifiers are performed, where k-NN provides a potential accuracy of up to 98.89%.Item Helping Healthcare Providers To Differentiate COVID-19 Pneumonia by Analyzing Digital Chest X-Rays(Daffodil International University, 22) Ullah, Abu Naser Zafar; Rahman, Md. A.Background: Detecting COVID-19 pneumonia and differentiating it from community acquired pneumonia (CAP) has been a challenging task for healthcare providers since the pandemic began. We therefore aim to develop and evaluate a simple, noninvasive tool to accurately detect COVID-19 by using digital chest X-ray (CXR). Methods and Results: We performed a retrospective, multi-center study in which deep learning frameworks were used to develop the system architecture of the diagnostic tool. The tool was trained and validated by using data from the GitHub database and two hospitals in Bangladesh. Python programming was used to calculate all statistical estimates. Our study revealed that the artificial intelligence (AI)-based diagnostic tool was able to detect COVID-19 accurately by examining chest X-ray (CXR). During the testing phase, the tool could interpret CXR with precision of 0.98, recall/sensitivity of 0.97 and F1 score of 0.97 for COVID-19. The evaluation results showed high sensitivity (90%) and specificity (92%) in detecting COVID-19. The AUC values for COVID-19 and pneumonia were 0.91 and 0.87, respectively. Conclusion: The developed AI-based diagnostic tool can offer the healthcare providers an effective means of detecting and differentiating COVID-19 from other types of pneumonia, thus contributing to reducing the long-term impact of this deadly disease.(International Journal of Biomedicine. 2022;12(3):459-465.) Subvariants BA.1, BA.2, BA.3, BA.4, and BA.5 of the Omicron emerged over time and through mutation, with BA.1 responsible for the most severe global pandemic between December 2021 and January 2022. Other Omicron subvariants such as BQ.1, BQ.1.1, BA.4.6, BF.7, BA.2.75.2, XBB.1 appeared recently and could cause a new wave of increased cases amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. There is evidence that certain Omicron subvariants have increased transmissibility, extra spike mutations, and ability to overcome protective effects of COVID-19 neutralizing antibodies through immunological evasion. In recent months, the Omicron BF.7 subvariant has been in the news due to its spread in China and a small number of other countries, raising concerns about a possible rebound in COVID-19 cases. More recently, the Omicron XBB.1.5 subvariant has captured international attention due to an increase in cases in the United States. As a highly transmissible sublineage of Omicron BA.5, as well as having a shorter incubation time and the potential to reinfect or infect immune population, BF.7 has stronger infection ability. It appears that the regional immunological landscape is affected by the amount and timing of previous Omicron waves, as well as the COVID-19 vaccination coverage, which in turn determines whether the increased immune escape of BF.7 and XBB.1.5 subvariants is sufficient to drive new infection waves. Expanding our understanding of the transmission and efficacy of vaccines, immunotherapeutics, and antiviral drugs against newly emerging Omicron subvariants and lineages, as well as bolstering genomic facilities for tracking their spread and maintaining a constant vigilance, and shedding more light on their evolution and mutational events, would help in the development of effective mitigation strategies. One of the main security risks in online applications is the misconfiguration of settings linked to security, which frequently leaves the backdoor exposed for attackers to take advantage of flaws and conduct catastrophic assaults. We've also seen that default security settings for most server package environments, where web applications are delivered, are frequently loose to provide developers and deplorers flexibility and as a result are not convincingly secure when the environment is intended for genuine production. The functional, security, and financial consequences of these failures are typically negative. Such issues also need reasoning across the software stack and operating system, making diagnosis and remediation difficult and expensive. We outline a system and approach for automatically identifying software misconfigurations via backdoors. Our analysis revealed that the framework is capable of auditing current security configuration settings and alerting users to modify the server environment in order to achieve the level of security configuration safety compared to recommended configuration for actual web application deployment. Its development is accompanied by dangers and weaknesses that might be exploited to launch attacks with various levels of complexity and repercussions. The tendency to switch consumption behaviours from conventional to ecological food products or organic food has largely been due to the claims that organic crops are grown in ecofriendly and sustainable environments. Thus, the study highlighted unique results on young consumers’ purchasing intentions from a new perspective. The paper aims to investigate the factors influencing consumers’ purchase decision towards organic food, particularly amongst Generation Y consumers. Design/methodology/approach – The underlying fuzzy set theory is employed to handle the fuzziness of consumers’ perceptions since the attributes are usually expressed in linguistic preferences. Overall, the study focussed on five important aspects – health consciousness, environmental concern, social influencing and ethical concern – that also include twenty criteria that had been identified and introduced after a thorough review of related literature. Findings – The results reveal that the most important criteria in the selected firm are environment protection, chemical instrument, buying attitude and animal testing. In comparison, the cause group includes criteria such as environment protection, natural food and support for training programmes, whilst the effect group includes production practices, monitoring protections and ethically produced food. Research limitations/implications – The sample collection from the study focussed on Generation Y consumers who consume organic food in Malaysia. This could lead to the limitation towards external generalisability. The study will provide numerous advantages to the communities. The policy maker should develop a proper marketing strategy to promote organic food as food that is healthier, better in nutrition and safer for society.Item Marketing Strategies Of “NASSA Taipei Denim Limited (NTDL(Daffodil International University, 22-01-27) Shaon, Md. In 1960s there was the first advancement of 3d happened by CAD (Computer Aided Design) software. In 1963 Ivan Sutherland created Sketchpad (AKA Robot Draftsman). The main objective of this project is to creating Smart City Features in perspective of Bangladesh and how they can be implemented properly and with possibility. We tried to visualize potential improvement possibilities. There was a lot of challenging tasks when the project was under development. Many individuals with a severe gambling disorder have gambling-related suicidality. However, no study has explored gambling-related suicide in East African Community (EAC) countries. The present study investigated the press media reporting of gambling-related suicide cases from EAC countries. Methods: As there is no established suicide database in that region, media reports were utilized to collect gamblingrelated suicide data. Gambling-related suicide case reports were searched for in EAC countries’ press media websites using Google. After removing duplicates, a total of 18 suicides were found. Results: The victims were all males aged 16 to 40 years. The most prevalent reason for the death was university students who had used their university tuition fees for gambling and losing the money (n =4/17). All the suicide deaths were in Kenya (10/18), Uganda (7/18), and Tanzania (1/18). Betting on soccer was the most common type of gambling reported (n =11/15), and hanging was the most used mode of suicide (n =10/16). Conclusions: Based on the press media reports, 18 males were identifed as having carried out gambling-related suicides. The countries with the most widespread opportunities to gamble had more gambling-related suicides, although the number of suicides was very small. Covid stopped our day-to-day workflow but that speed of transitioning towards digitalization also increased. No one thought before that we have to do class from home or have to shop from home. In that journey towards digitalization, the urgency of using our own language for communication is also increasing. In the time of typing when we press any key on our keyboard, it passes a signal through software and it shows a letter or that alphabet on our screen. Typeface or font are the media of displaying the character of any language on display. There are some Bangla fonts already available but most of them are developed in ANSI. But, very few good-quality Unicode Bangla fonts are available to use on the web. Most of the Bengali websites use those same common fonts. A typeface can express the vibe or mood of any brand or content if it is used wisely. Alphabet can make visual communication to the audience. We need more typefaces and fonts to use. My main goal for this project is to design and develop a new Unicode typeface implementing a modern design aesthetic. For that project, I will design and develop both Bangla and English letters with the same design characteristics. So that when we will write or type with that it will provide visual similarities and pleasing to eyes. That typeface will be licensed under “SIL Open Font License” so people can use that on the website or anywhere they want.
