Engineering program at Daffodil International University. Our project title is "Load Calculation & Substation Design," which immersed us deeply into the intricacies of electrical substations and related equipment. Through this project, we transitioned from theoretical understanding to hands-on practical knowledge, significantly enriching our understanding of the subject matter. Delving into various facets of substation engineering, we meticulously explored substation safeguarding, various protective relay kinds, bus-bar systems, installation techniques, and layout design and essential components like ring main units, AVR, and switchgear. Our comprehensive study extended to power transformers, distribution transformers, and instrument transformers, where we not only grasped theoretical concepts but also engaged in practical testing methodologies. The project enabled us to differentiate between transformers and instrument transformers, understand the critical role of current transformers (CT) in high-voltage applications, and appreciate the significance of load calculation in substation design. Additionally, we gained proficiency in substation switchgear, including high-tension (HT), low-tension (LT) and power factor improvement (PFI) as well as the utilization of circuit breakers for effective power distribution and protection. Our journey through this project has been transformative, equipping us with a robust foundation in substation engineering and empowering us with practical skills essential for real-world applications in the field.Item 10k Steps a Day – a Step Counter App for Android(Daffodil International University, 2022-01-04) Khan, Md. Sadik HasanAs the name suggests, “10k Steps a Day – A Step Counter App for Android” is a health focus android app for counting steps. The significance of the project lies in its ability to prompt people to make some time from their busy schedule daily so that they can lead a healthy life without sickness. But the core focus of this app is to help all the people suffering from “Diabetes”, a chronic and long lasting health condition affecting your body’s energy consumption through food. Which needless to say, in Bangladesh, has an abundance of. Currently there almost 10 million people has diabetes in Bangladesh. That is to say, 1 in every 16 people in Bangladesh has this long lasting health condition. And there is no cure for this condition as of now other than controlling it through proper diet and exercise. To that end, there is no substitute for taking a routine walk every day. But how much does one actually need to walk a day? Research has shown that, every day only 10,000 steps is required for an adult to sustain a healthy life. This is why I have developed a step counter android app to record the steps taken every day. This app will benefit everyone regardless of them being suffering from diabetes or not. I have added many useful features to this app to motivate them to go for a walk every day. I used android studio to develop this project. And for testing and debugging I have used Pixel 5 emulator and Oneplus 3t smartphone. A modern state cannot be thought of without it. So, after nine months long blood-shedding battle in 1971, Bangladesh achieved her long awaited independence and therefore, took an instant effort to formulate a constitution rapidly, based on the ideological spirit of the war of independence. However, to accommodate the demands and will of the people and even sometimes to fulfill the narrow interests of the rulers, Bangladesh Constitution has been amended several times. 16th amendment is one of them. Except a few cases almost every amendments has a great political impacts in the constitution. The most aspired and comprehensive sixteenth amendment induced a great debate among the political parties, intellectual part, constitution experts and masses. This research on An Empirical Study on 16th amendment regarding the impeachment of judges. My research is divided into seven chapters. Our research Paper discussion clears the validity of the 16 amendment, and the arguments of parties. The 16thamendment enacted on 17th September 2014, vested the power of impeachment of judge to the parliament. A writ petition was filed against this amendment and the high court division declared the amendment is void, illegal and unconstitutional. The CE combines concepts such as economy, environment, production, and society. A Circular Economy (often referred to simply as circularity) is an economic system aimed at eliminating waste and the continual use of resources. A circular economy is a system of resource utilization where reduction, reuse, and recycling prevail. A CE is in contrast to the traditional linear economy. The economy of Bangladesh has been linear for a long time, where raw materials are used to make a product. After its use, any waste, such as packaging, is thrown away into the environment since the environment is considered a free ride in a linear economy. However, we are consuming a finite supply of material resources, producing toxic waste for the environment, which can't be continued for long. It is time to break from the 'take-make-use-dispose' pattern of growth. The concept of 'circular economy (CE)' is about closing this loop. It is based on the principle of a natural ecosystem where there is no waste output focusing on reducing, reusing, and recycling the elements. CE follows the 'Raw material-design-the production- remanufacturing-distribution-consumption-repair-reuse-residual waste-recycling' growth pattern. In Bangladesh, to ensure the required food, water, and prosperity in the coming years, it is high time to switch from a linear to a circular economy for some reasons, such as the large population and its impact on the environment, constraints of resources, and protection of the environment from all kinds of pollution such as Bangladesh is now one of the top twenty plastic polluting countries in the world.Item 2-STEP DOOR LOCK SECURITY SYSTEM(Daffodil International University, 2018-05) HASAN HEMON, MD. For keeping information secured access control, password protection, and biometric measures are implemented with high care. This project presents a 2-way security-controlled door opening system which can be widely used in different organizations and even in apartments or houses. In this project embedded systems and biometrics have been used to protect unauthorized access. If knock pattern and finger print matches then the door will be opened. Otherwise it will set an alarm for neighborhood and system will send an email to the authorized person in his/her mobile. M.; Balbino, Valdir de Q.; Tintino, Saulo R.Different treatment strategies have been explored in a quest to improve the properties of recycled aggregate concrete (RAC). The improvement strategies are directed towards the removal of residual layers of old mortar on the recycled coarse aggregate (RA). The removal of old mortar layer improves the bond between the new mortar and the RA that makes the quality of RAC better. Efforts have been made to remove the old mortar from the surface of the RA through abrasion process, however, there is a lack of detailed information, particularly about the beneficial effect of abrasion coupled with some chemical treatment. In the present work, the performance of RAC prepared with the RA subjected to abrasion (with the help of a Los Angeles abrasion test machine) was evaluated. The combined effect of abrasion and sodium silicate treatments of the RA on the fresh and hardened properties of RAC was also evaluated. A significant improvement in the workability, strength, and durability of RAC was noted due to abrasion treatment of the RA. Strength and durability of RAC increased significantly due to the combined effect of abrasion and sodium silicate treatment of the RA.Item 38GHz High Bandwidth and Low Return Loss Microstrip Patch Antenna Design(Daffodil International University, 2024-07-13) Shazzad, Md. The antenna is designed to address the need for high-speed data transmission in Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and other wireless technologies. By addressing issues related to size, bandwidth, and signal strength, the proposed antenna aims to optimize performance for small and lightweight devices. The research project begins with a thorough analysis of existing studies, examining different materials, feeding methods, and antenna designs. Advanced tools are used to simulate and analyze the antenna's design and important characteristics like radiation pattern, bandwidth, and signal loss. The study investigates how various design elements, such as antenna size, material properties, and feeding techniques, affect overall performance. Additionally, practical considerations like cost-effective materials and production methods are explored to achieve an affordable and feasible design. The suggested antenna's performance is then confirmed through extensive testing, comparing the results with simulated data to ensure accuracy. The findings of this study provide valuable information on the best design parameters for improved performance in the 38GHz frequency range, advancing the technology of small antennas. The suggested antenna has potential applications in Internet of Things (IoT) devices, wireless communication systems, and other emerging technologies that require reliable high-frequency connections. Online retailers, as we all know, have been extremely popular in recent years. Many social media sites, such as Facebook and Twitter, are increasingly used by online shops. As a result, market monitoring is critical. We can monitor user reviews and satisfaction levels using machine learning and deep learning methods. Many projects have been completed in various languages in the past. We use LSTM to work with Bangla text reviews in our research. We acquire an accuracy of 88 percent with this model.Item 3D Animation and Environment Modeling for Visualizing Human Survival Scenarios on Mars: A Research-Driven Visualization Framework, MARS100(Daffodil International University, 2025-12-27) Islam, Md. TuhinMARS100 is a research driven 3D simulation and animation project for simulating viewable realistic human survival situations on Mars by blending new scientific research and cinematic storytelling. As a student currently working on this framework, I consider this to be another way to represent how future Martian habitats and life support systems may function based on the data from current aerospace investigations, engineering proposals, and tech demos from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. The simulation is based heavily on the JEANNE Habitat Design (2022), the MOXIE Oxygen ISRU experiment (2021) as well as ice mining and water extraction research, and hybrid solar - nuclear power research. Those sources provide an environment for modelling important elements of survival, such as the production of oxygen, recovery of water, greenhouse-based food systems, recycling of waste, mobility, and power generation. The project goes down a complete 3D production pipeline towards pre-production research, scriptwriting, concept development, modeling, texturing, simulation, environment design, lighting and real-time rendering. Even though the foundation consists of sound science, the end result is delivered as cinematic storytelling, with well-heeled voice over, as well as storytelling per scene to make complex processes accessible and visually interesting for the viewer. By combining the scientific accuracy with an artistic form, MARS100 creates a holistic visualization framework that not only emulates critical survival systems for Mars habitation, it enhances a greater understanding of future off-world habitation in the public domain as well. We do this through 3D environments and narrative driven design and give people a good visual idea of what life might actually look like on Mars.Item 3D Animation Short Film: "The Perfect Pair" Animation and Rendering(Daffodil International University, 2023-09-02) Dores, Aelred MarkOur project is a 3D animated film that showcases the power and beauty of animation and rendering. The story of our project is an impressive display of friendship and unity between two characters from a fictional world. We use state-of-the-art animation and rendering techniques to create visuals that convey the emotions and interactions of our characters. We also explore opportunities in animation and rendering. I have done modeling, rigging, lighting, script writing etc. to complete this project. I used Maya software to complete the work of animation. A widely used software. Our film is only one minute long, but it is full of details and emotions that make it unforgettable and impactful. I was able to learn how to get better output with less rendering time by making our project "The Perfect Pair".Item 3D Design for Lightweight S-Box(Daffodil International University, 2022-05-06) Ali, Tasnuva; Halim, Azni; Zakaria, Nur HafizaThe Internet of Things (IoT) applications are considered as smart device applications because of its remote monitoring/ controlling access. The vast quantity of devices is linked with heterogeneous IoT infrastructures which increases various attacks in IoT applications. Therefore, the security analysis should be evaluated to find out the best secured encryption process before implementing IoT applications. Moreover, lightweight algorithms are suitable for small power and high speed IoT devices. In this paper, lightweight algorithm is chosen because of its faster speed among other algorithms. However, the security of lightweight algorithms is not satisfactory for IoT/mHealth applications. To enhance the security of lightweight algorithms, we have designed a 4x4 composite S-Box rather than Look Up Table (LUT) method. Additionally, the composite S-Box value is again secured using 3D cipher for confusion and diffusion process to improve its security. Thus, we have proposed a lightweight 3D Composite S-Box which will give more security compared to other existing S-Boxes.
