This research also seeks to determine the best teaching strategies that aid students in understanding the subject matter.Item My Internship Experience in English language Teaching : Applying the Grammar translation method and Dogme method at a High school(Daffodil International University, 2025-08-11) Jahan, JinnatThis internship report's main goals are to share my experience and the methods used by English language teachers at the primary level. My first goal was to teach the students English by introducing them to the Dogme technique. In order to gain some understanding of the methods that the teachers employ in their classrooms, I have watched a number of classes. I discovered that they use the conventional approach to teach their classes. Their time management, classroom management, and teaching methodologies have all been explained to me. I used the knowledge I had gained from both my academic studies and the class observation when I was teaching the classes. This study analyzes the Grammar Translation Method and Dogme Method class activities, as well as the effectiveness of lesson plans. It also reinforces the relevance of the Grammar Translation Method, which teaches language through grammar and translation. This report provides a complete analysis of both observed and conducted classes. IELTS Excellence Bangladesh is an IELTS preparation center combined with various immigration activities such as consultation, passport & visa guidance, etc. It is a great medium for people who are interested in immigrating but are new to it. I worked for three months as an Administrative Officer when I first started at this organization. I gained a lot of important skills that later advanced my career. My main responsibilities include writing SOPs, managing admissions information, proofreading content, and maintaining office management. While I was employed, I found that many students chose to study overseas to improve theirEnglish. Not only students, but many others who wish to travel, work, or do business abroad, particularly in the USA, UK, Australia, or Turkey, want to study English. My main focus was helping the teachers and reviewing the class materials, which were provided in the class.Item The Impact of Kamala Das’s Poetry on Female Students in the English Department at Daffodil International University: Perspectives on Rights, Awareness, and Identity Formation(Daffodil International University, 2025-08-21) Islam, NahidaThis study examines the impact of Kamala Das’s poetry on the perspectives of rights and awareness among female students in the English Department at Daffodil InternationalUniversity. Kamala Das is a renowned Indian feminist poet, mainly known for her bold portrayal of female hopes, sufferings, desires, and sexuality. Through her poetry, she fights against patriarchal oppression. This study focuses on the direct impact of Kamala Das’s poetry on Bangladeshi female students. While most feminist studies focus on Western perspectives, this study makes a change by focusing on young female Bangladeshi individuals. In this study, I use a mixed-method approach. For this study, I surveyed 20 female students in the English department. The findings of this survey reveal how transformative Kamala Das’s poetry can be. 95% of participants liked Kamala Das’s poetry, and they mentioned that her poetry influenced them to think about personal freedom and question societal expectations. 85% of participants mentioned that Kamala Das’s poetry influences the sense of importance of female empowerment. This survey also reveals the emotional connections between Kamala Das’s poetry and Bangladeshi female students. This study highlights the important role of feminist literature in education. It shows how Kamala Das’s poetry creates an impact on female students to raise their voices against patriarchal oppression and reclaim their own identity and rights. However, this research has limitations, such as the small sample size and the avoidance of nuanced differences between Bangladeshi and Indian contexts. It could not focus on socio-economic perspectives and others. Future studies could expand to fill in all limitations.Item AI in Literature Learning: Perceptions, Engagement, and Ethical Considerations – A Qualitative Case Study(Daffodil International University, 2025-04-11) Hossain, MonuarThis study explores the perspective of how students of the Department of English in a private university use artificial intelligence in learning literature, specifically students from the Daffodil International University English Department's final year. By using a qualitative case study approach, semi-structured interviews were carried out with six students to examine why, how, and in what situations students use AI. It also examines its impact on their reading habits, analytical abilities, and ethical concerns. The study seeks the Technology Acceptance Model(Davis, 1989) to understand why students resort to using AI for literature learning. Findings show that students initially used AI for checking spelling mistakes, summarization, and literary analysis of difficult literature like Paradise Lost, but later, slowly they started to become dependent on AI as it is very convenient and easy to access. It also reveals that depending too much on AI affects their motivation and engagement with literature, as they no longer like to read full literary texts. Students’ trust issues related to AI-generated interpretations are also one of the priorities. This discourse calls attention to the balance between using AI as an assistant and independent literary analysis. Only a teacher can help students to achieve their full potential by instilling in them a love of learning through their talents and values. And when first started working as a teacher, I realized it even more. This report is based on my internship experience as an English language teacher at the Shaheen School & College in Savar, Dhaka. The primary goal of my internship was to teach for two to three months and gain experience. Throughout my internship, I supervised and observed the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grades at Shaheen School & College. I gathered information about the teachers, including their lesson plans and teaching practices. I have done my best to provide the best for the students. I not only received a credential from school, but I also learnt how to be an effective teacher, manage students, assess students, and perform a variety of other tasks that will benefit me in the future. Throughout my internship, I came to understand that teaching is more than just a job because educators are the foundation of the country.
