Item Statistical and Salient Features Analysis on Acoustic Signal For Medical and Educational Applications(Daffodil International University, 22-08-01) Prodhania, Muhammad Rakib; Chowdhury, Md Emon; Shah, Md NayeemIn this report, statistical and salient features have been extracted for acoustic signals in medical and educational applications. In recent 2 to 3 years, the whole world has witnessed a lockdown in the COVID-19 situation. The world's communication was down physically during this period, but they had connected through online communication. However, the main reason is that in this COVID-19 situation, online education is becoming much more popular. Now, most people are familiar with online education. However, most learners faced a common problem. The instructor's voice is not clear. When the instructor recorded the audio or live online education, the audio signal is mixed with unwanted noise like instrumental, environmental, etc. Telemedicine has become a major part also in this pandemic and doctors can communicate with the patient over voice and instruct them what to do in critical situations when a patient is unable to go to the hospital or the circumstance is not letting the patient go to the hospital. In both cases, students and patients or doctors face the same kind of problem, as a result, both medical and educational sides are being focused. In this work, especially the notch filter which has been used provides a better result as a solution and it eliminates the 60 Hz instrumented signal. The graphs are used for comparison and it is being clarified why the notch filter is used and how it performs.Item Empirical Study on Network Configuration and Monitoring Using Mikrotik Router at Daffodil Online Ltd.(Daffodil International University, 22-10-01) Sajal, Rezwan Maruf"Empirical Study on Network Configuration and Monitoring Using MikroTik Router at Daffodil Online Ltd. (DOL)" is the topic of this study. This type of wireless network allows a network administrator to gain control over the entire network by utilizing a security key. One of the most widely used switches for every ISP network as well as any business company is the MikroTik Router. The main objectives of this internship are to better my understanding of network management and MikroTik router setup as well as to broaden my expertise in these areas. I took advantage of the chance to complete an internship at Daffodil Online Ltd. to act properly for the benefit of my future career. These features include DNS server, DHCP server, Hotspot, IP Addressing, Firewall & Nat, Routing, Bandwidth Limiter, P2P Tunneling Protocol, ARP and many others. Each of them has a distinct function, and without them, a framework would be difficult to maintain. When we need to anchor our information and the framework is connected to the Internet, we employ MikroTik. WinBox Software allows for the completion of all of this configuration. This will undoubtedly help me land a job at an ISP firm. Following the completion of all assistance, this framework is tested at several points and serves as a useful model. In the future, I must enhance the focus setup structure to enhance client execution.Item Design and Implementation of an Optical Distribution Network Based on Mikrotik Router and Optical Line Terminal(Daffodil International University, 22-11-23) Bhuian, Md. Now-a-days every home and office has also the requirement for high regulation cable television (HDTV) and Voice over Internet (VoIP) services. As all this service can be only provided through the help of GPON technology because the GPON technology support the triple play services. Using the Mikrotik router for controlling the layer 3 and GPON OLT for layer 2 management. Using VLAN for providing the different services through the same fiber and same ONU. GPON technology based on ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) technology. As GPON has 2.5 Gbps Upstream and 1.25 Gbps Downstream in each PON and due to ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) technology its support the dynamic bandwidth allocation which is suitable for huge traffic areas. Due to using the GPON the network infrastructure become simplified and flexible. GPON support 128 clients in each PON and the distance support up to 20 km.Item Availability Analysis of Cellular Network Performance on BSS Parameters(Daffodil International University, 22-12-08) Sultana, RakibaA cellular network is a mobile network that uses a large number of base stations with limited power to provide services, each covering only a limited area or cell. Limited power allows the same frequency of multiple cells from a base station to be reuse without causing interference, allowing a large geographic area covered by a limited set of frequencies. The operation of the cellular network carried out in accordance with the GSM network standard. Base station subsystems (BSS) are one of the key areas of GSM network architecture and it is responsible for handling traffic and signaling between mobile phones and network redirection subsystems. The performance of BSS can be hampered in a variety of ways, including coverage issues, scheduling issues, fading effects, power constraints, bandwidth limitations, and different protocols and standards. As a result, the customers of the remote areas are unable to receive expected services in a day. There has been a many more parameter on availability in cellular network, however availability analysis from the academia and the telecom industry have used different definitions for availability and the related concepts. In this project, constructed different scenarios and region across the country calculated to impact of cellular network availability on BSS networks infrastructure. The main goal is determining to figure out network availability in daily weekly basis based on 2G, 3G and 4G each technology comparison. The service availability differences in daily weekly basis based on 2G, 3G and 4G technology of different districts of Bangladesh were also determining here. For the data collection Huawei could in Huawei RTN 380 V100R007C00, RTN 905 1E, Huawei U2000 were used. The screenshots of different operations were included here. Microsoft Office tools used to simulate the performance data. This project has been conducting to background research, network availability and future innovation methods for the measuring network availability and applicable to the Bangladesh telecommunications industry.Item Performance Study of Uplink and Downlink of Macro Cells(Daffodil International University, 22-12-23) Begum, AmenaA Radio Access Network (RAN) is the major part of a mobile telecommunication system. In a RAN, radio sites provide radio access and coordinate management of resources across the radio sites. This Radio Access Network distributed over land areas called cells, each served by at least one fixed-location transceiver, known base station. In a cellular network, each cell uses a different set of frequencies which are known as uplink and downlink. The performance of Uplink and Downlink parameters of RAN in macro cell nodes and the number of users with traffic activity are analyzed and presented in this project. It especially focused on the study of the performance and analysis of path loss and noise ratio of the RANs. Traditional networks (2G, 3G, and 4G technology) are considered for data collection and simulation. The TEMS and QualiPoc software are used for Uplink and Downlink utilizations data collection and Microsoft Excel is used to present the graph and trending. Finally, this project is established about cell performance parameter of BTS and UL/DL performance of macro cell based on radio access network. The comparison of systems with cell range expansion (CRE) in the classic downlink is based on SNR. CRE not only helps to offload users from macro but also improves UL service. Instead of an aggregated throughput analysis, a detailed classification of users is performed to figure out the causes of users’ gain or loss after applying each strategy at the system level. UL adjustable cell offset appears to be an interesting strategy to allow for finer control of UL interference. In this project, the design-based study of the performance of the upper and lower links from Macro cell and Uplink-Downlink parameters.Item Optimization of Cost and Design of a Hybrid Renewable System(Daffodil International University, 23-06-05) Mazumder, Md. Shahadat HossainOne of the crucial initiatives that promotes sustainable development in Bangladesh is to create a compact energy system using solar, hydro, and wind power. The availability of electricity is very limited to rural areas. So, we are trying to design a hybrid renewable system for remote areas. For this purpose, we select a bio-diversity center which is located in the Chittagong Hilly Area. This area is full of plants and animals that have been extensively studied. The center is suitable for researchers and students to stay and study. The hybrid energy system will use solar panels, a wind turbine, and a hydropower generator to create electricity. To control the flow of electricity, the system includes different parts like inverters as well as switches. Solar panels will provide solar energy and Pico hydropower is collected from the Pico hydro power plant. Solar panels are used for converting the power from dc from to ac form. We use switches for getting our desired load.Item Learners’ Attitudes Towards Bangladeshi YouTube Contents for Learning English(Daffodil International University, 23-06-05) Akter, TanhaThe purpose of the study is to investigate learners' attitudes toward Bangladeshi YouTube content for learning English. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. The participants of the study were 82 students studying at the tertiary level. Data was collected through a survey questionnaire. The findings showed that the participants have positive attitudes towards Bangladeshi YouTube content for learning English. The study recommends that Bangladeshi YouTube content should be used for more vocabulary, they need more fluency like foreigners and they also need to improve their sound quality and better quality content for learning English. All in all, the lessons on how to complete a project, the layout and steps I had to follow and how to teach so many students and more, my instructor's help gave the confidence and necessary knowledge for which I will always be grateful. Monjurul HoqueRouting protocol is taking a vital role in the modern communication networks. The performance of each routing protocol is different from each other. In the context of routing protocol performance, each of them has different architecture, adaptability, route processing delays and convergence capabilities. Among different routing protocols, Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP) and Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) have been considered as the pre-eminent routing protocols for the real-time application. EIGRP and OSPF are dynamic routing protocol. There are various numbers of static and dynamic routing protocols available but it is very important to select a right protocol among them. This selection depends on several parameters such as network convergence time, network scalability and bandwidth requirements. Our thesis paper reports, a simulation based comparative performance analysis between EIGRP and OSPF for real time applications such as video streaming and voice conferencing. In order to evaluate the performance of EIGRP and OSPF, we designed a network models that are configured with EIGRP, OSPF respectively. The evaluation of the routing protocols is performed based on quantitative metrics such as convergence time, packet delay variation, endto-end delay, and throughput and packet loss through the simulated network models. The experience of implementation of mobile banking sectors got covered in this internship period.Item Wavelet based performance analysis of image compression in different methods(Daffodil International University, 2012-08) Shaem, A.S.MIn this thesis, my aim is to compare for the different wavelet-based image compression techniques. The effects of different wavelet functions filter orders, number of decompositions, image contents and compression ratios were examined. The results of the above techniques WDR, ASWDR, STW, SPIHT, EZW etc., were compared by using the parameters such as PSNR, MSE BPP values from the reconstructed image. In this project a network architecture has been designed that will be able to support the demand of potential users of DIU campus. The aim of the project is to build up full network architecture for science faculty and library. The network is designed for students, Teachers, Executives to use internet and inter communication. A wired network has been designed according to the hierarchical form. This network has been given access for 320 users .The performance analysis of this network is evaluated in terms of number users and packets per unit of time. MAHBUBAs a modern technology the microwave is the main technical support of Teletalk. In our country Teletalk covers maximum area through the microwave radio link backbone. This frequency is received by the GSM Antennas and then the cell phone can receive the frequencies from GSM antennas of BTS. In this research paper, radio network planning and optimization process have been descried by me. In order to meet the requirements of the mobile services, the radio network must offer sufficient coverage and capacity while maintaining the lowest possible deployment costs. For doing this research I had to go Rupayan Tower, Ramna where MSC (Mobile Switching Center) located and many other places. It is hoped that technology will be known and the thirst of knowledge about this topic will be quenched successfully.Item Mimo Performance Evaluation Based On Various Scenarios(Daffodil International University, 2012-08-15) MONDAL, PLABAN; NAHIN, MD. ANIK AREFIN; SHABUJ, HUMAYUN KABIR. © Daffodil International University ABSTRACT MIMO is one of several forms of smart antenna technology in which multiple antennas are used at both the source or transmitter and the destination or receiver. In conventional wireless communications, a single antenna is used at the source, and another single antenna is used at the destination. In some cases, this gives rise to problems with multipath effects. The use of two or more antennas, along with the transmission of multiple signals, one for each antenna, at the source and the destination, eliminates the trouble caused by multipath wave propagation, and can even take advantage of this effect. This report provides an analysis of MIMO channel capacity in terms of different condition of MIMO antenna using MATLAB simulation software. It also shows a comparison between MIMO channel capacity and theoretical Shanon’s channel capacity. Another comparison is also shown between SISO and MIMO with the help of real world data. The comparisons are conducted using the parameters RSSI, Jitter, Power Level, Bandwidth, BER and FER for different types of modulation schemes and fading channels.Item A study of Performance Analysis of Image Compression Methods and Denoising Natural Image(Daffodil International University, 2012-08-27) Sarkar, Md. Ashikur Rahman; Hasan, Md. Mahmudul; Khalek, Md. AbdulImage compression is in high demand as it reduces the computational time and consequently the cost in image storage and transmission. The basis for image compression is to remove redundant and unimportant data while to keep the compressed image quality in an acceptable range. Image compression is an application of data compression on digital images which is in highly demand as it reduces the computational time and consequently the cost in image storage and transmission. Wavelet Transform (WT) is used for compressing a natural image, De noise. Several wavelets (Haar, Daubechies, Coiflet, Symmlet and Dmey) are used for compressing and Denoising image. As a measure of performance Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR), Compression Ratio (CR) are calculated between the original and compressed images. It is observed from our study that Haar performs better (lowest RMSE, highest PSNR and CR) than any other tested wavelets for natural Image. JPEG compression method performs 48.85% better than Haar wavelet.Item Design And Development Of Fitness Yoga Application Based On Windows Phone(Daffodil International University, 2013-01-26) Hanjala, Kazi Md.; Islam, Md. RafiquleThe report presents the Design and Development of a Fitness Yoga Application. As yoga and fitness is one of the prime concerns in our daily life, the developed system follows the core idea of mobile application development model specially the incremental model and agile methodology and its utilization in application industry considering the Nokia integration with Windows operating system (OS) since 2012. By this project, our fundamental understanding in software engineering has been developed. In addition, we have done a successful project in one of the most fast growing industry such as mobile applications. We think this small step and idea to be helpful to solve this yoga related problem in a smart applications world. The application has been created by using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 with Expression Blend 4 including Dot Net framework and written in C# with Silverlight and Windows Phone Emulator functionalities. The application has been designed in a mobile-based environment such as windows phone and created for those people who are worried about their fitness and do not get enough time to maintain them. The application was simulated in a Dot Net based environment with windows phone simulator. It also guarantees how a Windows phone platform based application can be developed easily and effectively with attractive user interface (UI) and how an app can be used flexibly using facebook graph application programming interface (API). In the LAN designing and configuration work with Switch , hub.Item Live Telecast and Remote News Gathering of a Satellite Television Station(2014-08-02) Rahman, Syed AfiatNow-a-days Satellite TV is being considered with utmost significance as it has been contributing to every sector of our society. Certain differences have been brought to our life with a wide array of program ensuring several advantages to our day to day life. Now TV programs, broadcasted both in analog and digital format possessing higher quality of sound and picture, can entertain anyone from anywhere based on the availability of Satellite TV connection. It has been a great opportunity for me to gather a complete hand on experience on all the sections of Satellite TV channel during my internship in RTV and this report has been prepared based on the knowledge that I achieved during my working period. The complete illustration of Earth Station and Live Transmission process of RTV channel has been signified here as the core parts of my internship paper.
