    Dyeing Of 100% Cotton Woven Fabric with Guava Leaf

    Guava leaves (Psidium guajava) have the potential to be used as a natural dye for 100% cotton woven fabrics. This study emphasizes environmentally friendly and sustainable textile production. Research on renewable and biodegradable natural sources has been prompted by the growing need for substitutes for synthetic colors because of their negative effects on the environment and human health. Given their high tannin content and widespread availability, guava leaves offer a promising option for natural dyeing. Several stages of the study were involved: guava leaf dye extraction, cotton fabric preparation, dye application with various mordants, and assessment of colorfastness and other performance characteristics. Aqueous techniques were used to extract the dye, guaranteeing a procedure that would not harm the environment. Before being dyed with mordants including alum, ferrous sulfate, and copper sulfate, the cotton fibers were pre-treated to improve color absorption. To achieve a variety of hues and enhance color fixing, mordants were applied. Depending on the mordant employed, guava leaf extract can yield a variety of hues, from delicate yellows to deep browns, according to experimental data. With minor differences depending on the type of mordant used, the dyed materials showed good colorfastness to light, rubbing, and washing. Ferrous sulfate produced deeper hues with improved fastness qualities, whilst alum produced brighter tones with moderate fastness. According to the study, using guava leaves—a waste product in many areas—as a dye source has both financial and environmental benefits. This strategy lessens reliance on artificial dyes, promotes the circular economy, and decreases environmental damage. In addition to acknowledging difficulties with scalability and standardization of natural dyeing methods, suggestions were made for further study on enhancing dye extraction effectiveness and expanding the spectrum of colors that may be achieved. To sum up, guava leaves offer a practical and environmentally friendly substitute for dying cotton textiles, promoting the development of eco- friendly textile techniques. This study highlights the value of combining ancient knowledge with contemporary textile innovation in addition to proving the usefulness of natural dyes.

    Study on the Quality Control of Garments Sewing section

    The garment industry, a cornerstone of global trade, depends heavily on stringent quality control measures to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain brand reputation. This study examines the critical role of sewing inspection within quality control, identifying key areas for improvement and proposing innovative solutions to address prevalent challenges. Utilizing a mixed-methods research design, the study combines theoretical frameworks with empirical research. Surveys, interviews, and observations conducted with industry experts, quality control personnel, and production workers provide insights into current practices and challenges. Statistical analysis of defect data reveals patterns and trends, leading to actionable recommendations. The findings highlight several key areas for improvement. First, effective training and skill development for sewing operators are crucial in reducing defects. Second, the adoption of advanced inspection technologies, such as automated defect detection systems, can significantly enhance the accuracy and efficiency of quality control processes. Third, the implementation of a multi-layered inspection process—comprising in-line, final, and audit inspections—has been shown to reduce defect rates and improve product consistency. Lastly, regular performance monitoring and feedback mechanisms are essential to sustaining high-quality standards and fostering continuous improvement. These insights contribute to the enhancement of garment quality, offering practical strategies to improve production processes. Beyond the garment industry, the findings provide valuable implications for other manufacturing sectors that rely on intricate assembly processes, ultimately advancing consumer satisfaction and strengthening industry reputation. From the summary of the collected data table I got the defects percentage, this visualization highlights the defect count for each defects, with "Broken stitch" having the highest total defects (14.75%) and "Open seam" (13.1%) and “needle cut" having the lowest (3,27 %).

In Bangladesh's rapidly growing garment sector, a thorough understanding of denim washing effects is crucial for maintaining product excellence and staying competitive. This study aims to explore the intricate details of washing faults encountered in denim production, with a particular focus on the unique practices and challenges within Bangladesh's manufacturing landscape. Through an extensive examination that includes industry practices, case studies, and empirical data analysis, this research seeks to systematically categorize and analyze the root causes and impacts of various washing faults, such as color bleeding, fabric shrinkage, seam distortion, and uneven abrasion. By unraveling these complexities, the study not only aims to optimize efficiency and sustainability in denim manufacturing processes in Bangladesh but also seeks to equip industry stakeholders with valuable knowledge and strategies to effectively address washing faults. This comprehensive approach enhances product quality and reduces production waste, thereby promoting innovation and driving positive change in the global denim production industry.

    Improving The Urban Transportation System: A Road Inventory Survey and Traffic Count Analysis From Baipail to DEPZ,Bangladesh.

    This study investigates the problems with urban transportation in Bangladesh and suggests solutions, with a particular emphasis on the vital route connecting Baipail and the Dhaka Export Processing Zone (DEPZ). Congestion on the roads and traffic volume have increased due to the area's growing industrial and urbanization, which has increased the demand for sustainable and effective transportation solutions. This study evaluates the existing road conditions, infrastructure, and transportation capacity along this important industrial route through a thorough road inventory survey. An analysis of traffic counts highlights important problems and operational inefficiencies by offering comprehensive information into vehicle kinds, peak congestion periods, and traffic flow patterns.

    Study on Grey Waste in different Knitting Machine

    The work reported in this thesis is an endeavor to have a speculation with facts and figures about the grey wastes generated in single jersey circular knitting machine. I study on kitting fabric faults and it’s cause. Mainly I proper study on two type of knitting machine. Those are single Jersey circular knitting machine and double jersey circular knitting machine. The amount of some serious knit industry flaws, such as holes/cracks, loops/drop stitches, lycra out, knots, and so forth, steadily increases or decreases with changes in stitch length. I obtained several samples of typical knit fabric flaws and some quality inspection sheets using the 4-point system approach from a reputed textile industry for this inspection. I first examined the information from the quality inspection sheets before examining the impact that changing the stitch length has on the frequency of major flaws on grey knit fabric.

    Observation of the Environmental Impact of Brick Manufacturing Process in Greater Dhaka Region, Bangladesh

    The most popular building material used to create buildings and other structures in Bangladesh is brick. Brickfields have sprung up all throughout the nation to provide brick locally. Brick manufacture has an influence on the environment, society, biology, and seasons. The method of making bricks has a growing negative impact on pollution. Year due to the growing number of brick kilns and brick manufacturing. An study has been conducted to assess the overall effects of brick production process on the environment and public health. We concentrated on the possible burden on theenvironment, which includes depletion of resources, contamination of the air, water, and soil, as well as negative impacts on agricultural output and human health. Through in-situ observations, questionnaire surveys, and interviews, the brick production stages of 15 brick fields are evaluated. In order to evaluate the safety concerns and poor management, we also concentrated on the Brickfields' management system. We also looked for a relationship between the impact of mismanagement and the environment on the brick-making process. According to the main conclusions of our investigation, a few suggestions are made to lessen the issues. The use of recycled and eco-friendly bricks, kiln systems that have been adapted, alternative fire technologies, training initiatives, and a secure workplace are among the primary recommendations.

    Observation of The Pollution Source of The Turag And Karnatuli Rivers and It’s Impact On The Neighboring People

    Despite being essential to Bangladesh's transportation, agriculture, and way of life, the Turag and Karnatuli rivers are severely contaminated as a result of urbanizat io n, industry, and human activity. Ecosystems, drinking water supplies, fisheries, and recreational activities are all negatively impacted by pollution from point sources, such as industrial effluents and municipal discharges, and nonpoint sources, such as agricultural runoff and urban drainage. According to surveys, 32% of visitors near both rivers encounter problems, while 68% say they have no problems. While 48% of those near the Turag River admit pollution-related issues, 31% of those near the Karnatuli River report specific health issues, including as rashes, skin illnesses, malaria, and eye irritation. These results highlight the pressing need for community-driven solutio ns, stricter enforcement of policies, and environmentally friendly water management to preserve and repair these vital rivers for coming generations. River contamination calls for specialized solutions to address certain problems. The main causes are pollut ion from brick factories, oil leaks from stimer, tannery and industrial trash, and direct wastewater discharge from Dhaka city. These actions have an adverse effect on ecosystems, human health, and water quality. Controlling industrial discharges, improving wastewater treatment, and strengthening waste management systems should be the main goals of specialized interventions.

    Exploring Rice Husk Ash As a Replacement For Cement in Concrete Production

    This study explores the use of Rice Husk Ash (RHA) as a partial cement replacement in concrete to enhance sustainability and reduce the environmental impact of cement production. RHA, a by-product of rice milling, is rich in silica and exhibits pozzolanicproperties, making it a potential replacement for improving concrete performance. Concrete mixes were prepared with varying RHA proportions (0%, 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, 10%, 12%, and 14%) to evaluate the effects on compressive strength, workability, and durability. Nevertheless, a large amount of cement is used in the manufacturing of conventional concrete, which greatly increases carbon emissions. Sustainable construction methods must minimize cement use while preserving mechanical performance. The most effectivecombination was found to be an 8% inclusion of RHA, which increased compressive strength by the control mix while maintaining enough porosity for efficient water permeability. Higher percentage mixtures, especially those containing above 8% such as 10%, 12% and 14% resulted in decreased mechanical performance. This study shows that adding 8% RHA to concrete improves its mechanical qualities and lessens the environmental impact of cement-based construction, providing a sustainable option for contemporary urban infrastructure. This research shows how best to use it and its correct ratio can be used if desired. Which is effective in an environment. After the test, it can be said that the 8% ratio is the most balanced.

    An Investigation Into Passenger Satisfaction And Its Role In Community And Economic Growth: A Study On West-Zone Rail Services In Bangladesh

    Attraction and dependency between various linking regions have increased along with the rate of urbanization and economic growth. Since the beginning, transportation has played a vital role in advancing the development and economic benefits of connectingcommunities. The railway industry has demonstrated its ability to generate economic and developmental advantages for several nations. But compared to road transportation, less focus has been placed on improving the railway industry, primarily in Bangladesh, which has prevented the sector from reaping the full economic benefit. This study investigates passenger satisfaction with Bangladesh Railways, focusing on key factors such as journey time, punctuality and service quality. The objective is to identify the main barriers to passenger satisfaction and evaluate how addressing these issues can contribute to economic and community development. At Kamalapur and Parbatipur Railway Station, survey questionnaires were utilized to assess passenger satisfaction with various services. Passenger and locomotive master surveys were conducted to gain a comprehensive understanding of operational and service delivery challenges. The study employs factor analysis to identify the primary elements that influence passenger satisfaction. Surveys were conducted with both travelers and locomotive masters to gather insights. The results were based on their responses to questions designed to measure satisfaction across Nineteen key areas. The findings indicate that journey duration, punctuality, food quality and cost, ticket services, restroom cleanliness, staff behavior and scheduling sanitation are significant factors that explain 84.527% of the variance in passenger satisfaction with railway services. This research provides actionable recommendations for policymakers and railway authorities to prioritize passenger-centric strategies, ultimately fostering a more efficient and inclusive transportation system.

    Railway Passenger's Satisfaction Analysis On Service Quality: A Study on Kamalapur Station To Khulna Railway Station

    Platforms are an essential component of all rail transportation. A traveler can use a variety of platform-based amenities at a train station to feelsatisfied, which is seen as being quite important. This study used survey questionnaires at the Kamalapur and Khulna railway stations to determine how satisfied passengers are with these services. The study's analytical approach uses factor analysis to pinpoint the key elements influencing passengers' satisfaction with the caliber of the services they receive. Passengers were surveyed as part of the econometric analysis technique. Based on passenger responses to a survey designed to assess service quality in seventeen key categories, the results were drawn. According to the study, the amount of refreshments and readily available food, along with the ticket service and reservation chart display, lighting, restroom and toilet cleanliness, behavior, scheduling, and sanitation, are significant factors that account for 51.102% of the variance explained and affect how satisfied passengers are with railway platforms. A model was created, a conclusion was reached, and the theoretical and practical ramifications were examined. Policymakers are likely to find the passenger satisfaction model produced by this study helpful in developing plans and strategies for enhancing platform-based facilities.
