    The report on “A Comparative Analysis of Financial Performance between Viyellatax Spinning Ltd and Square Textile Ltd.” is based on working knowledge and interview from Viyellatax Spinning Ltd and Square Textile Ltd. The topic of the report was approved by Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed, Professor, BRAC Business School, BRAC University. The report mainly contemplates on the topic “A Comparative Analysis of Financial Performance between Viyellatax Spinning Ltd and Square Textile Ltd.” to know financial position of Viyellatax Spinning Ltd and Square Textile Ltd.. First part of this report is based on the introduction which includes topics like objective, methodology and limitation of the study. Basically it defines the overall research and consultancy situation along with a corporation. In the next part of the report highlights a brief background of Viyellatax Spinning Ltd with its mission, vision, objective, products etc. This report also includes the income statement and balance sheet of Viyellatax Spinning Ltd. Finally this report includes the comparative analysis between Viyellatax Spinning Ltd and Square Textile Ltd according to their financial performance and financial performance evaluation from different aspects and adds a small recommendation which may be helpful for the company.

    Document auto archiving process and improving project management: a study on Devnet Limited

    This report is on the basis of three months practical experience at Devnet Limited. The internship program helped me a lot to learn about the practical situation of IT sector as well as helped me to implement my theoretical knowledge in to practical and realistic work environment. The objective of the report is to find out the procedure of Auto Archiving process or Electronic document management systems and how to improve the project management procedure of Devnet Limited, which is doing digitalization of much business organization. This study tries to study the prospects and problems of Document Automation Business. The process or ways of doing business are changing rapidly. In last few years most of the business organizations are trying to manage their document electronically. It is very difficult to maintain thousands of paper based document in different warehouse and to search document from that warehouse in a very short time. So Document Automation Business can be a very good business. But lack of efficient employee, lack of transparency in the government sector and matter of update of the products in this sector create some problems. One of the key challenges of this market is to overcome the problems and to utilize the prospects. In this study prospect is measured The main objective of the study is to find out the document auto archiving process and the improvement areas of project management. The main findings of the study are: they have employee lacking. Their financial performance is growing up day by day. Even though, their employees do their daily work smoothly but that is not enough for the development of the organization. Their working ability is slow because of shortage of enough employees and proper knowledge. They do not have efficient human resource for project management; as a result most of their projects are loss in the end. The recommendations for study are: they should recruit some quality executives specifically in Sales and Service Department. They should recruit at least two project managers who will be experienced and the work will be done at the easiest way. If their Sales officer and Project Managers both are efficient and knowledgeable enough then they can work as a team and the working ability will get the maximum output.

    Procedure of investment project proposal in climate change company: an investment feasibility study model

    The Government of Bangladesh has focused on improving the environmental situation of Bangladesh for last many years. On that note promoting energy efficiency and environmental sustainability is a key part of Bangladesh Government’s present agenda. ADB supports the efforts of the government to make growth more inclusive and greener by improving connectivity, promoting skills, improving financial markets, boosting energy efficiency and access, promoting public-private partnerships, making cities more livable, improving the management of water resources, and reducing flood risk. As a result it has been almost a decade that ADB is providing fund to develop the Brick sector of Bangladesh so that the previous technology of burning coals can be reduced with the help of new technologies. The Climate Change Company focuses on to help new entrepreneurs to receive the fund so that the Brick sector can be developed. To do so CCC follows the procedure of feasibility test. This report is solely focused on the feasibility study process of CCC. The first chapter of the report contains the introductory part of the report such as origin of the report, the objectives of the report, methodology, scope of the report and the limitations as well. The second chapter contains the organizational overview of Climate Change Company. The third chapter is solely focused on the investment feasibility study process through the four aspects such as market, technical, financial and legal, social and environmental aspects. The analysis also includes the subproject designed by CCC for a client to get a better presentation of the procedure of feasibility study which is mainly focused on the financial modeling. The last chapter includes the findings from the study along with some recommendations to improve the service system of Climate Change Company. Lastly, there is a conclusion written on how the Brick Sector Development is important for Bangladesh and also how the Climate Change Company can be progressed through this.

    Critical analysis on work process of ServicEngine Ltd.

    This Report is prepared as per requirement of the internship phases of MBA program of BRAC University. The study is based on the problem statement, “Critical Analysis & Work Process of ServicEngine Ltd.” The main objective of the report is to find out the work process which followed by ServicEngine Ltd. This report starts with a general introduction of “ServicEngine Ltd.” as well as its mission Vision Product & Service detail. Then this report proceeds onto the brief discussion of my Job description part where I provide the information regarding responsibilities of the jobs, Different Aspect of Job performance and about my critical observation and recommendation. My job in ServicEngine Ltd. is to check the call quality assurance. Then in the analysis part of the report, I discussed the work process of my team describing the different steps of it. The steps are Finding the errors by listening calls, make CQ (Call Quality) report, input errors in Google drive, make weekly report called Agenda, System Monitoring etc. And in the conclusion part I conclude the report with some important brief point that ends up the report with future enlighting.     IPO process analysis of Dhaka Stock Exchange Limited

    At some points of its business operation every company needs to raise money. To do this, companies can either borrow the same from somebody or raise the amount by selling ownership of the company. The later is known as issuance of stock. When a company go for public issue for the first time it is known as Initial Public Offering (IPO). IPO can be made through fixed price method, Book Building method and direct listing. In my report I have worked with the IPO Procedure Analysis. An initial public offering (IPO)or stock market launch is the first sale of stock by a company to the public. Fixed price method and Book Building method are two methods prevalent to list a company in Dhaka Stock Exchange Ltd. IPO's are the first sale of stock by a private company to the public. In an IPO, the issuer obtains the assistance of an underwriting firm, which helps it determine what type of security to issue (common or preferred), the best offering price and the time to bring it to market. These listing methodologies have been set by "Securities and Exchange Commission (Public Issue) Rules, 2006". The concept of IPO process is very common in our country. In this report I have tried to shown the overall IPO procedure of our country, advantages, problems of IPO etc. This report consists of three parts & a short vision of each part is given below: The history of Dhaka stock exchange, products offered by DSE, operational network organogram vision and mission of DSE , which I have mentioned in part one. By studying this Section, an overall idea about the DSE will be generated. The Second part of this business report is about the description of my job which I have done during my internship period. My specific job responsibilities, different aspects of job performance and critical observations and recommendations are mentioned in this Part. The Third part comprises the project part which is IPO Procedure Analysis of DSE. This part is classified in different aspects like summary, description of the project which comprises objective of the project, methodology, limitations. The main body of the project is four chapters. Chapter one describes an overview of capital market of Bangladesh. Chapter two contains the IPO procedure analysis and departmental functions of Listing Affairs department. Chapter three contains finding and analysis and in chapter four there is conclusion and recommendations.

    Service support of GIZ BD as an implementation partner

    The project titled “Service Support of GIZ BD as an implementation Partner” Undertaken in GIZ Office Dhaka. GIZ is a German based Development Organization. It is one of the leading Development Organization and Implementation agencies in the world. The German delegation underlined the importance of the Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development for the coming months and years. The German side would welcome the continuation of a strategic dialogue and continued exchange on this topic. In the context of German-Bangladesh bilateral cooperation especially sustained efforts regarding decentralization and continuing efforts to implement the envisaged improvements regarding working conditions in the textiles sector remain to be of utmost relevance. The German side stressed that there still remains need to further work on the simplification and acceleration of project approval processes, together with other development partners of Bangladesh who are facing similar challenges in context of their projects and programmes.

    Developing strategies for effective financial monitoring of sub-recipients of icddr,b

    The study provides an internal analysis and SWOT analysis of Finance Services of icddr,b and develops strategies to overcome the shortcomings focusing on Grants and Compliance Unit of Finance Services. The primary and secondary sources of data are collected mainly from the Finance Department. OMB Circular A-133 Single Audit 2013 conducted by KPMG, Bangladesh identified that icddr,b did not maintain a list of allowable and unallowable expenditures to be charged to each project to provide reasonable assurance that costs of goods and services charged to Federal Awards are allowable and in accordance with OMB Circular A-122. The audit also identified that icddr,b did not have official policies and procedures for sub-recipient monitoring. The OMB A-133 audit findings are reported to Federal government and become public record, distributed to all Federal Agencies through a clearing house. Federal and Non-Federal sponsors look at A-133 as a ‘report card’ of how icddr,b spend their money. Therefore, there is a possibility of risk to loss or shrinkage of federal and non-federal funds due to non-compliance and break of trust on icddr,b. In addition, the reputation of icddr,b would be threaten because of publishing the shortcomings of internal control of icddr,b. Therefore, the study identifies the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of Finance Services and develops strategies to offset the weaknesses and threats by utilizing its strengths and opportunities. The report provides a comprehensive list of allowable and unallowable expenditure, a guideline and tools for effective monitoring of sub-recipients for icddr,b. icddr,b needs to adopt these policies and guidelines to strengthen its internal control. It will then strengthen the relationship of trust that exists between the sponsors and icddr,b.

    OE/HES specialist role at Chevron Bangladesh

    The main objective of this report is to take a look into the OE/HES specialist role at Chevron Bangladesh and also focusing into the tools and techniques in website planning for HES department. Chevron Bangladesh and its subsidiaries have been active in oil and gas exploration and production in Bangladesh for a number of years, predominantly in Blocks 12, 13 and 14 in the greater Sylhet region, located in the northeastern part of the country. The company is currently producing natural gas from Jalalabad, Moulavi Bazar and Bibiyana fields. Chevron supports Bangladesh's goal to reduce the nation's reliance on imported energy by actively investing in projects that deliver more gas to Petrobangla. Chevron, having invested nearly US$ 1 billion, is one of the largest foreign investors in the energy sector of Bangladesh and supplies 55% of the country’s gas needs. In this report the broader perspectives and scope of OE/HES Specialist role in Chevron Bangladesh have been included with a project of new tools and techniques in website planning. Finally some broad and focus recommendations are made to contribute to the continuous improvement culture that Chevron fosters.

    The title of our term paper is "Marketing Activities of EFL". We have discussed the activities of a specific company which is quiet significant. EFL is the first international air & sea forwarding company to set up operations in Bangladesh in 1978.
