Item Accounting Systems of Jinnat Knitwears Limited(Uttara University, 2021-05-22)This report is based on the internship program undertaken at Jinnat Knitwears Ltd. (DBL Group), a growing textile company in Bangladesh. The report provides an overview of the accounts department of the organization, with a particular focus on the performance analysis and accounting activities. The internship experience allowed the author to observe and gain insights into how the company maintains its accounting activities, evaluates assets and liabilities, measures depreciation, and assesses revenue and expenditure. Additionally, the report includes a discussion on the financial reports and supporting documents used by the organization. The report is divided into six chapters: Chapter One covers the introduction, background, objectives, and limitations; Chapter Two provides an organizational profile of Jinnat Knitwears Ltd.; Chapter Three outlines the job profiles; Chapter Four discusses the activities undertaken by the accounts department; and Chapters Five and Six offer recommendations and conclusions. A SWOT analysis and performance review of the Uttara Branch are included. The report also shares the author's internship experience, observed issues, and suggestions for improvement. Overall, it critically reviews the operational efficiency of BAL’s general banking division.Item Agent Banking Prospect in Bangladesh(Uttara University, 2020-08-30) Sultana, ShamimaIn a country where nearly half the population is engaged in agriculture and predominantly resides in rural areas with limited access to financial services, the challenges of financial inclusion are significant. Many individuals, particularly women, remain uneducated due to a lack of educational opportunities, further exacerbating their financial exclusion. The Global Index Database 2017 indicates that only about 50% of people aged 15 and older have bank accounts, with the figures for women being even lower. This study explores the potential of agent banking as a viable solution to provide essential financial services to unbanked populations in remote areas. Agent banking can reduce costs and resource constraints while facilitating employment opportunities. By enhancing access to banking services, agent banking has the potential to address inequities in financial access. This research aims to raise awareness and promote further studies on agent banking to encourage its implementation for the benefit of underserved communities.Item An Empirical Study on Employee Absenteeism and Turn over of Union Sportswear Ltd.(Uttara University, 2020-08-30) Md. Utilizing both qualitative and quantitative methods, the research identifies key factors contributing to absenteeism and high turnover rates, including poor working conditions, lack of motivation, insufficient incentives, and limited career development opportunities. The findings suggest that strategic human resource practices, employee welfare initiatives, and effective communication can significantly reduce absenteeism and enhance employee retention. Ltd., a pioneering private food industry in Bangladesh, established in 1983. Initially offering a limited range of products such as jams, jellies, pickles, and sauces, the company has expanded both its product line and market reach, including international exports. Notably, Ahmed Food is the first authorized producer of diabetic food products approved by BIRDEM and public health authorities. The report analyzes the company's corporate vision, mission, values, and branding activities through various promotional channels including social media, billboards, activation programs, and trade fairs. Drawing from a three-month internship in the brand department, this report evaluates brand performance using tools like SWOT analysis, brand building models, and consumer perception metrics. Among them import is one major business. Based on the profit potentiality partial products are traded and partial are manufactured in their outsource manufacturing companies. The main product portfolio consists of various kind of pulse, agriculture foods such as vegetables which are cultivated and distributed to wholesalers. They Import, various kind of furniture hardware’s and Inventories, wall clock and other home appliance accessories products as well. The accessories are being sold to wholesale outlets and through selective distributers. Distributers are considered as the Primary customers who helps to fulfill the demand of the districts retailers. The business depends mainly on the products’ demand in the market. Therefore, they are much concerned about the importers policy, process, time bound and overall operation. The company follow a systematic selection policy through gathering manufacturers then they forward required product list. Documents and all other issues are assessed on Performa Invoice as part of the proceeding. There are specific policies for production, delivery and transportation. There are different incentives for buyers to encourage satisfactory business. It depends on relationship building and makes the most of it for business. The Company helps buyers by facilitating bulk quantity and then the goods are send to the remote places for business; though it becomes difficult to minimize cost under different circumstances due to different issues related to the dealers. Sometimes the company face challenges; such as, buyers seeking opportunities for the business-like switching importers due to less rate or getting new products. In such situation, the company takes help from manufacturers to reduce price by ordering bigger quantity, or finds similar manufacturers with lesser product rate or increase number of buyers to overcome the struggle. They conduct the order and delivery process in a systematic way. Business money transection are done the LC, TT, pay through cash (local), cheque, pay order to fulfill the transaction. They enjoy dealer coverage in all districts of Bangladesh. It’s very much depends on push strategy with a little pulling activity.Item Building A Long-Term Relationship Between Customer and Manufacturer(Uttara University, 2020-08-30) Ali, SozadBangladesh is one of the leading countries in the global ready-made garment (RMG) industry, serving world-class buyers. However, increasing labor costs across Bangladesh and other Asian countries present a significant challenge to maintaining competitiveness in the apparel sector. To remain competitive, the industry must focus on enhancing productivity. Garment manufacturers often operate with a short-term vision of demand, leading them to minimize borrowing while striving for profitability. This paper explores strategies to improve productivity in the garment sector, focusing on the importance of consumer behavior, business strategy, advertising, and promotion. The study presents a merchandising and production flow diagram for three key departments—marketing, cutting, sewing and finishing, and quality assurance—at East West Industrial Park Limited. By streamlining production flow and addressing non-smooth flow issues through data collection and analysis, the company improved its production by 17% while maintaining the same resource utilization and working hours. The results highlight the significance of smooth production flow in increasing productivity in the garment industry. Capital adequacy is a vital measure of a bank's financial strength and its ability to absorb losses, regulated under international frameworks such as Basel III. Using financial reports and regulatory data, the research evaluates each bank’s capital structure, risk-weighted assets, and compliance with minimum capital requirements. The findings indicate that both banks maintain adequate capital buffers, though with differing strategies and performance indicators. The study emphasizes the importance of effective capital management in maintaining solvency, investor confidence, and overall financial stability. Every sector has shattered in this crisis.so every industry has come forward with their measures. corporate world has also come forward with their social responsibility. so in this report I am describing there the corporate social responsibility of private commercial Banks of Bangladesh. Initially I have disclosed the name of private commercial banks. there are 34 private conventional banks and 11Islami shariah based bank under schedule banks of Bangladesh Bank. there foreign banks running in Bangladesh. But I have focused only the contribution of private banks of Bangladesh. The banks are instructed to spend a highest 30 per cent of their CSR outlay on the education sector, 20 per cent on the health sector and 10 per cent on climate risk or disaster management by the Bangladesh Bank. Data were gathered through interviews and document reviews. Findings suggest that personalized service, consistent quality, and transparent communication are key factors in maintaining buyer loyalty.
