Item The Roles of Motivation in Improving Productivity in Organization(Uttara University, 2020-08-20) Suravi , Zakiya ZamanProcuring high productivity is one of the most pivotal goals of an organization. Motivation , an incentive factor that has the potential to enhance employee loyalty and performance, can also contribute to increasing productivity when properly utilized by managers. It presents current theories of motivation and outcomes of empirical study to enunciate how employee motivation generates higher productivity in organization. This study investigates the impact of employee motivation on productivity and organizational commitment in the higher education sector. The data is collected using an online survey from 242 employees from public universities in northern Malaysia. During the analysis of the data, SPSS and structural equation modelling are used for generating the results. The findings show that employee motivation has a significant positive effect on employee productivity. Additionally, the effect of employee motivation on organizational commitment is positive and statistically significant. Finally, the results prove that organizational commitment has a significant positive effect on employee productivity. These results carry extreme significance to policy makers in the education sector with regards to the importance of employee motivation if they intend to enhance organizational productivity and competitivenessItem Impact of Debt Financing on Earnings/Productivity of the Business concern(Uttara University, 2020-08-30) Khandakar, Umma HalimaThis study investigates the impact of debt financing on the productivity and profitability of businesses in Bangladesh amid an economically challenging environment. Throughout my internship, I experienced a supportive and professional environment, with staff demonstrating expertise in their respective roles. The report is structured into several sections: an introduction to the host organization, a description of deposit management, data collection and processing methods, analysis and discussion of findings, recommendations, and a reflection on my internship experience. The findings highlight key aspects of deposit management at Al-Arafah Islami Bank, based on both primary and secondary data sources. While I acknowledge my inexperience may have led to some inaccuracies, I aimed to provide constructive observations. The recommendations proposed in this report are intended to address identified shortcomings and enhance the bank's deposit management practices.Item Prospect and Problems of Online Banking in Bangladesh(Uttara University, 2020-08-20) Akhter, SultanaWith contrast to the previous century when the concept of electronic transfer was proposed, nowadays electronic payments are drastically increased due to the rapid increase in online shopping or Internet-based banking. Now in twenty-first century electronic payments became the first option for the transfer of money to/from payer/payee. Visa card, master-card, smart card, debit card, credit card, e-check, and e-wallet, etc. are the options for e-payments. Behind the acceptance of the new payment system depend upon the three factors- cost, time and security per transaction take place of each other. This paper will highlight the background study, types of electronic payment systems available and which payment method users should choose considering the cost, time and security factors. This research will also identify the issues and challenges of e-payments and suggest some solutions to improve performance and quality in developing countries. The motive of this review paper is to introduce the reader to electronic payment and keep update the reader with the current state of the art in the electronic payment system and to provide an overview of past efforts and future trends of electronic payment transfer.Item Study on Non-Performing Loan: A Case of NCC Bank Ltd.(Uttara University, 2020-10-04) Redoy, Md. Sabbir ShikderNon-performing loan is a loan that is in default or close to being in default. Non-performing loans (NPLs) badly affects the health of banking sector and also economy of the nations. The main aim of this paper is to analyze the recent trend of NPLs in banking sector with reference to Bangladesh. The present study is based on the secondary data which have been collected from the report of Bangladesh Bank and websites of the scheduled banks of Bangladesh from the year 2003 to 2018. The study revealed that NPLs are the burning problems of the banking sector in Bangladesh for last few decades. The international standard of NPL is 2 percent or below but in our country it is much higher. The NPL percentages in Bangladesh are 5 to 6 times higher than the standard which is alarming for the sector. According to the reports of Bangladesh Bank (central bank of Bangladesh) Non Performing Loans ratio stood at 10.30 % in December 2018, 9.31 percent in December 2017, 9.23 percent in December 2016 and 8.79 percent in December 2015. It is observed that the NPL ratio is growing successively with the passage of time. So, as a credit controlling authority Bangladesh Bank should give more emphasize on the NPLs of commercial banks.Item Corruption plays an important role to economic growth in Bangladesh.(Uttara University, 2020-08-30) Biswas, SouravThis study investigates the relationship between corruption and economic growth in Bangladesh, highlighting the detrimental effects of corruption on national development. Additionally, the report outlines the processes involved in loan disbursement and recovery. Finally, based on observations made during the three-month internship, the report concludes with recommendations for improving the SME division at BRAC Bank Limited.
