| dc.description.abstract | The experimental capacity for reinforced beams is validated in this study through finite- element analysis using ABAQUS. Both spliced and un-spliced configurations are taken into consideration in this investigation. Considering several modeling methodologies, such as the dilation angle, viscosity, and meshing parameters, the three beams, each sized 2000 × 250 × 150 mm, I verified the findings of a prior study report using Normal Strength Concrete as the material(Mabrouk & Mounir, 2018). I conducted several trials throughout the validation procedure to identify a final validation graph that closely resembles the graph plot in the previous study report. After examining viscosity, it was determined that the ideal values for B-1, B-2, and B-3 were 0.04, 0.05, and 0.025, respectively. A dilation angle of 31 degrees was consistently used throughout all beams, effectively producing successful results. Several different mesh sizes were investigated, and the results showed that a standard 25mm mesh size is suitable for all beams. In addition to enhancing the reliability of the findings of finite-element analysis, this systematic assessment guarantees that a thorough knowledge of the structural behavior of reinforced concrete beams is achieved. This evaluation also contributes significantly to structural engineering by providing valuable insights. | |
