Indoor Sports Complex and Training center at Dinajpur

Abstract

The proposed indoor sports complex and training center at Dinajpur is a skill development and recreational project, covering an area of 15 acres. Situated in a potential development zone of Dinajpur city, this project aims to not only train and accommodate athletes but also provide recreation to the people of Dinajpur, accelerating the local tourism and commerce in the process. The project program includes indoor multisport arena, Gymnastics arena, Olympic sized swimming pool, basketball, volleyball, tennis, judo, taekwondo, boxing and table tennis training facilities, which will be available to local people for recreational purposes in off-seasons. Annual and seasonal competitions can be held in the arenas, attracting large number of crowds, for whom multiple facilities including café, lounges, seating galleries, vendors, parking and exhibition spaces will be provided. Additionally, visual emphasis has been given to this project with aesthetically pleasing geometrical forms and environment friendly innovative material usage.
