Abstract

ApotexperimentwasconductedatthenethouseofAgroEnvironmentalChemistryLaboratoryofthe DepartmentofAgriculturalChemistry,Sher-e-BanglaAgriculturalUniversity,Dhaka1207.TheexperimentwascarriedoutinpotsduringNovember,2019toFebruary2020toobservethe effectsofsaltstressongermination,growth,yieldandionscontentofmustard.Theexperimentwaspe rformedusingtwocultivars and12dSm -1 1 tallestplantwasfound inBARISarisha 9.BARISarisha 9achievedmaximumbranchesplant ,totaldrymatter,siliquaeplant -1 1 ,lengthofsiliqua,numberofseedssiliqua .Betweenthetwovarieties,thehigherseedyield ii -1 1 1 .Thehighestseedyield -1 1 levelandat3,6,9and12dSm -1 salinitylevels,itperformedbetterthanSAUSarisha1.TheKcontentwashigherinBARISarisha9thanSAUSarisha1.TheKcontentdecreasedsignificantlywithincreasing thesalinitylevel.NacontentwashigherinSAUSarisha-1thanBARI Sarisha9.Nacontentinthevarietiesincreasedsignificantlywiththeincreasingsalinitylevel.Thevar ietyBARISarisha9showedbettermorphological,yieldandyieldcontributingcharactersthanthose ofSAUSarisha-1.
