Abstract

The Modern Management is a blend of previous theoretical concepts of management that is used in today’s organizations based on their different requirements. However, there are some common management rules that should be followed by the managers in order to pursue success and harmony within the organization. This paper attempts to evaluate the managerial scenario for the organization – Norban Fashion Ltd. using the 14 principles of management by Henri Fayol as the basis of performance criteria. This study has been derived from reasons of the superficial problem of high employee turnover and employee dissatisfaction within the organization. The analysis of the 14 aspects of the management setup of the company reveals problems in most of them, where urgent measures are required immediately for 10 of the principles of management. This study tried to find out the loop holes in the management using the 14 principles as tools and come up with potential solutions to overcome the problems as early as possible. However, if the initial procedures of mitigating the problems does not work properly, the scientific trial and error cycle should be continued to prove the hypothesis using other methods until the objective of solving the problems is achieved.
