General banking activities of United Commercial Bank PLC

Abstract

UCB has several services that promote efficiency, reliability, and economic development. During my internship at United Commercial Bank PLC (UCBL) in the Distribution & Strategic Management Department, I had meaningful, hands-on experience with key banking activities, reporting procedures, and strategic analysis techniques. This exposure allowed me to apply what I learned in Accounting and Finance in actual banking scenarios I particularly learned to make data-driven decisions, streamline workload, and optimize processes. I developed expertise in applying analytical programs such as Excel and Power BI to increase the accuracy and overall efficiency of the functions pertaining to reporting. This experience immensely enhanced my knowledge pertaining to general principles of banking, team work, and communication processes pertaining to the corporate workplace environment. UCBL, as one among the leading first-generation banks of Bangladesh, gave me the best possible avenue for imbibing and engaging in professional financial practices that facilitate the growth in the economies of a country at large.
