Abstract

The project titled “Analysis of denim industry final inspection reports to identify the common faults and their causes during production and to remedy them” is a comprehensive exploration aimed at evaluating and improving the quality control processes in the garment manufacturing industry. The project focuses on the systematic analysis of faulty reports generated during the final inspection of fully assembled garments. Through this analysis, the project aims to identify common faults, understand their root causes, assess their frequency and severity, and propose recommendations for process optimization. This report includes 14 final inspection reports from the Ultimate Fashions Limited garment industry. We evaluate the reports, highlight the findings in a chart, and identify the most common faults. Next, we provide the reasons behind these faults and then address remedies for them. After analysis, we found eight major faults in our project work in four different sections. The percentage rate of defects in every section is: fabric defect (3.62%), sewing defect (50.79%), finishing defect(39.27%), and miscellaneous defect (6.32%). This project is needed to improve product quality and prevent expenses for the industry. The buyer will be more satisfied, especially when this is done.
