Abstract

An Internship is a work related learning experience for students to develop hands on work experience on occupational fields. Internship provides real world knowledge to pursue or gain the relevant experience. Intern students works for a fixed period of time that can be three or four months.Unpaid internships are very common but sometimes we see little paid internship too. We know that having a university degree may not enough for candidates to get job in today’s market. After our long academic learning, internship gives us the opportunity to learn from hand in hand, which gives us the flavor of real job experience. So we can say that internship is the investment for our future which set the foundation for career. During internship we have to work with various kinds of people in office, thus we connected with new people of different level and profession, and our network with various professions has grown day by day. Those Networks will help us to get references and find new job opportunities in future. Through internships work we gain knowledge and experience on relevant work which will help us to build a strong resume. We know that it’s quite impossible to get a good position in job without a heavy resume. Companies are more likely attracted to hire one who has former work experience. During academic assignments we were given relatively longer time frame to complete our assignments, but in professional life times are limited as news need to be published soon. We know that in this digital era every news and information spread around the world within very short time. We must have the proficiency to realize the value of real time news. Internship helps us to access the value of time management.
