Abstract
The design of a Novo Theatre and Astronomy Research Center, a cutting-edge cultural and
educational establishment that combines architecture with the study of science, technology, and
space, is presented in this thesis. The initiative addresses the growing demand for immersive
educational settings that inspire awe of the cosmos and encourage scientific inquiry among the
general population. The goal of the design concept is to create a dynamic, interactive environment
where architecture acts as a catalyst for engagement and discovery in addition to providing a
backdrop.
The structure combines two separate but complementary uses: a planetarium that uses
cutting-edge projection systems to create an immersive astronomical experience and a Astronomy
Research Center that features interactive research on physics, technology, and environmental
sciences. The planetarium provides an amazing setting for astronomical observation and celestial
education, while the design places a strong emphasis on creating adaptable, modular rooms that
can support shifting displays and educational programs.
In order to reduce the building's ecological impact, the architectural form incorporates sustainable
materials and energy-efficient design techniques, drawing inspiration from astronomical
phenomena, natural geometry, and cutting-edge technologies. With open, flowing layouts that
enable both visual and physical connections between different programmatic aspects, the
relationship between the outdoor and interior areas is thoughtfully studied. The building's focal
point, the planetarium, is intended to be both an experience and symbolic place that evokes the
boundless reaches of the cosmos. This thesis investigates how architecture may improve public
knowledge of science, pique interest, and cultivate a respect for the cosmos.
