This empirical study investigates the causes and patterns of employee absenteeism and turnover at Union Sportswear Ltd., a prominent player in Bangladesh's garment sector. Utilizing both qualitative and quantitative methods, the research identifies key factors contributing to absenteeism and high turnover rates, including poor working conditions, lack of motivation, insufficient incentives, and limited career development opportunities. The findings suggest that strategic human resource practices, employee welfare initiatives, and effective communication can significantly reduce absenteeism and enhance employee retention. The study provides actionable insights for HR professionals and organizational leaders aiming to improve employee stability and productivity in labor-intensive industries.
