Abstract
The following internship report is a detailed discussion of ACI PLC one of the major conglomerates of Bangladesh with special reference to the Supply Chain Department where I worked as a Data Analyst Intern. The paper focuses on the efficiency in the operations of the organization, its management, marketing, financial and accounting systems, and the application of information systems in decision making.
The internship experience helped me to be involved in the data management and reporting process, which involves the collection, cleaning and analysis of operational data to aid with the workflow and performance analysis. The report shows that the participative leadership style and organized human resource management through recruitment, training, and performance appraisal programs by ACI PLC facilitate productivity and goal attainment in the various departments.
One of the major elements of the work was the analysis of employee productivity regarding software tools. The survey information and financial analysis of Office 2019 and Microsoft 365 proved that Microsoft 365 is superior in collaboration and automating workflow, but, at the same time, office 2019 is the most affordable to use regarding the overall reporting process. The trade-offs between the cost and productivity gains were measured using metrics like productivity indices, correlation insights, and ICER values.
The report also evaluates the marketing, financial and operational practice at ACI PLC with the emphasis on the incorporation of technology and the use of data informed decision-making in enhancing efficiency and competitiveness. On the whole, the internship experience was quite informative in terms of the operation aspects of large organizations involving the significance of proper data management, the use of cost-effective tools, and optimization of the workflow to promote the strategic goals of the company.
