Abstract

This report concentrates on Mercantile Bank Limited PLC's deposit mobilization, which is essential for the bank's growth. The report will analyze the bank's moves to attract and retain its depositors and its methods for marketing these services. The insights from my Mercantile Bank internship were used to make this report, which outlines key strategies and main obstacles for the bank in the competition. The report initially introduces Mercantile Bank's mission, vision, and intended strategies, highlighting how these add value to their trimmed moods on deposit collection. Next, the report examines how the bank markets itself to increase its number of depositors by mentioning the bank's targets, positioning, and methods of announcing messages and promotions. The report also emphasizes the way the bank is run and the role of digital tools in offering greater convenience to customers and supporting increased deposit growth. In addition, a SWOT analysis and Porter's Five Forces analysis examine the factors inside and outside the bank that shape its deposit mobilization strategy. Moreover, at the end of the report, strategies are offered for strengthening savings growth, involving increasing digital banking services and engaging special customer groups. It covers how Mercantile Bank plans its activities, executes them, and overcomes challenges related to deposit collection. The report also suggests ways for improvement in these areas in the future.
