Prospects and challenges of general banking activities at Standard Bank Limited

Abstract

The aim of this internship report is to provide a concise understanding of the major fields of operation at Standard Bank Limited (SBL). The report was split into five (5) segments. The first chapter is the introductory section. An outline of Standard Bank's mission, vision, tagline, characteristics and management hierarchy is given in the second chapter. Chapter three deals with the work duties given to me. The fourth chapter is the section of the project which includes a brief overview of the prospects and challenges of Standard Bank's general banking operations, as well as some recommendations and, last but not least, the fifth chapter presents the industry and competitive analysis. This study is a compulsory prerequisite towards finishing the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program at BRAC University. I primarily tried to examine the prospects and challenges of general banking practices at Standard Bank in my overall research.
