Abstract

ASA University is a part of ASA NGO’s affordable education program, with the permanent campus being built to accommodate students in compliance to UGC’s guideline. The University is planned to be established on Ashulia just close to Turag River, where development is still taking place and is currently mostly barren with industrial structures here and there. The 3.5 acre land needs to be utilized in a manner that nurtures the needs of a private university while keeping the costs in line with ASA’s aim to be affordable and cost effective. Due to the tight space yet eye-catching surroundings, the design should be implemented in such a way that the university encourages user interaction in a vertical space while making the most of its natural contextual gifts, thus creating a learning environment which is effective yet not flamboyant.
