A field experiment was conducted at the research field of Department of Agronomy, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh during the period from September, 2014 to January, 2015 with a view to study the growth and yield of groundnut varieties as affected by different levels of calcium and application time. The experiment was carried out in split plot design considering three varieties i.e. V = BARI Chinabadam-8, V 2 = BINA Chinabadam-4 and V = Dhaka-1( 3 1 = NPKCa as basal, T = NPK as basal + 100 kg Ca ha 1 at flower initiation = NPK as basal + 200 kg Ca ha -1 at flower initiation 4 3 = NPK as basal + 300 kg Ca ha at flower initiation 5 = NPK as basal + 400 kg Ca ha -1 at flower initiation -1 -1 -1 at flower initiation -1 at flower initiation -1 at flower initiation at flower initiation -1 at flower initiation -1 -1 at flower initiation -1 followed by seeds pod and 100 seeds weight. Results revealed that application of 100 kg Ca ha -1 at the time of flower initiation along with basal NPK could be the best for groundnut production irrespective of varietal difference. -1 -1 -1 -1 2 1 -1 -1
