dc.description.abstract'Gulistan' is an extremely important place of Dhaka city with many memories of its old cinema hall complex and also because of its importance as a hub. Gulistan Park therefore is an extremely sensitive area because it needs to live on as a significant urban place besides its identity as a park. There are two different parts of the project: Cultural and Religious. Both of the parts are developed over the idea of revitalizing the inactive part of Gulistan Park by creating visual porosity and accessibility with an urban plaza. The plaza dissolves into the green of the park while introducing many new public facilities. With respect to the park, the form generated to offer a seamless transition of the park to the sloped green roof, ensuring visual and pedestrian experience.
