Abstract

This research demonstrates the relationship between teachers and students how it affects the learning achievement of the students at Haji Tajuddin Mridha High School. The relationship between the teachers and students is very important for a positive learning environment. This research finds that the behavior, creativity, support and classroom atmosphere established by the teachers who create a big difference for the students level of motivation, confidence, and success to achieve their goal. This study also finds that the video-recordings of classroom sessions and the conversations with the teachers and students reveal that the implementation of positive relationships between the teachers and the students systematically develops learning process and positive emotional outcomes for the students. For this reason students feel motivated, valued and understood, after that they participate actively and perform well at school. However, negative factors such as large class sizes, less attention, and poor communication make it difficult for the teachers and the students to establish good relationships. The paper illustrates the importance of the engagement of the teachers and the positive support of the classroom which help students perform better in their education lives.
