Bongotaj Shahid Tajuddin Ahmad is one of the most influential national leaders who contributed greatly to the history of Bangladesh. He was the first prime minister of our country. During the liberation war of 1971, while Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was imprisoned, Tajuddin Ahmad played a vital role in coordinating the war for independence. A proposal has been made to build a Memorial Complex as a tribute to this great national leader of Bangladesh, Bongotaj Tajuddin Ahmad, and his magnificent journey throughout the political history of Bangladesh.
