Abstract
The impact of perceived organizational support (POS) on employee commitment and retention is
examined in the paper "Effect of Perceived Organizational Support on Commitment in the RMG
Industry: A Case Study on Brandix Apparel Bangladesh Ltd." The subject of discussion is Brandix
Apparel Bangladesh Ltd., a prominent participant in the Readymade Garments (RMG) industry
in Bangladesh, which makes a substantial contribution to both employment and the GDP of the
nation. The study's main goal was to examine the connection between employee dedication and
point of sale (POS) in order to offer suggestions for how Brandix could enhance its support
infrastructure. The main focus of the study was to find out how various employee levels saw
organizational support and how it affected their engagement, satisfaction, and loyalty.
Based on direct data (employee surveys and interviews) as well as secondary data (business
reports and literature), the results show that employee commitment and perceived organizational
support are positively correlated. Workers who have support from their employer are more likely
to stick with the company, show better levels of engagement, and have less plans to leave. The
results of the investigation showed that workers at higher organizational levels such as
management perceive greater levels of support than do workers at lower levels, where deficiencies
in professional development and communication were found. This discrepancy indicates that
changes are required to offer a more comprehensive support network for workers at all levels.
According to the study, the majority of employees were either "Satisfied" or "Very Satisfied" with
Brandix's initiatives, while a smaller percentage had indifferent or unfavorable opinions.
According to the survey, 27% of workers said there was space for development, while 73% of
workers felt their assistance needs were satisfied. To guarantee that every employee feels
supported and appreciated, the ideas include broadening recognition programs, providing
additional professional development options, and improving management-employee
communication channels. Brandix may improve overall company performance, lower turnover,
and increase staff retention by putting these techniques into practice.
As a result, this study shows how important perceived organizational support is for developing a
loyal and contented staff. Addressing the support deficiencies found would help Brandix Apparel
create a more motivated and effective team.
