Gender discrimination is the unequal treatment of individuals based on their gender identity or expression. It manifests in various forms, including workplace disparities, limited access to education and healthcare, and social exclusion. This discrimination perpetuates harmful stereotypes, hinders personal and professional development, and contributes to social inequalities. Gender discrimination is a complex and multifaceted issue with deep historical roots. It is often rooted in societal norms and expectations that reinforce traditional gender roles and power imbalances. These norms can manifest in subtle and overt ways, impacting individuals' opportunities, experiences, and overall well-being. Addressing gender discrimination requires a multifaceted approach that challenges societal norms, promotes equal opportunities, and ensures legal protections for all individuals, regardless of their gender identity or expression.
