Abstract
Rice Research Institute, Sirajganj the selected site is in Konabari, Sirajgonj near to the Jamuna River. The north-central district Sirajganj is a BPH (Brown plant hopper) prone area of Bangladesh where rice production is decreasing day by day. Flood, water logging and river erosion, salinity of soil and sandy soil is complication to cultivate the rice in Sirajgonj. Therefore, it is important to develop a modern rice research institute in Sirajgonj so that local farmers are greatly benefited through updated knowledge and practice that would help them to increase their rice production.
The project is to design a research institute, which will be knowledge hub for local farmers and a place to celebrate rice related cultural events. A plaza is proposed in the middle point of the institute where research will be held and the cultures will be exhibited. The proposed training facilities of this institute will play a significant role in enhancing the skills, knowledge, and awareness rising of local people. The concept of this project has been taken from the paddy field’s outline, which supports form generation. The focus of this project was to generate conduct proper research.
