This report, titled "High Commitment HRM and Employee Retention in Digital Platform Companies in Bangladesh: A Study on Pathao," explores the impact of High Commitment Human Resource Management (HC HRM) practices on employee retention within digital platform companies, with a specific focus on Pathao. The study's goal is to better understand the function of HC HRM components such recruiting and selection, training and development, performance management, and compensation and reward systems in building employee loyalty in a dynamic and competitive industry. Given Pathao's considerable position in Bangladesh's gig economy, where agility and innovation are important, the research emphasizes the importance of HR policies that link business goals with employee satisfaction and retention. The report's key findings demonstrate that transparent performance management, effective training and development, and a fair reward structure are critical for ensuring employee engagement. The report also underlines the need of including young employees in idea generation and cultivating a culture of acknowledgment in order to boost motivation and prevent attrition. The article uses primary survey data and secondary research to make actionable recommendations for Pathao and other digital platform companies. These include enhancing feedback communication channels, fine-tuning performance rating systems, and instituting consistent staff appreciation programs. This study emphasizes the importance of HC HRM approaches in improving organizational effectiveness, particularly in fast-paced industries, and provides a road map for firms seeking to balance staff satisfaction with long-term corporate growth.
