Abstract

pandemic, which caused serious economic difficulties for Bangladesh. In this regard, IFIC Bank PLC, a limited liability company founded in 1976 by the Bangladeshi government in collaboration with private sponsors, has remained essential in supporting international joint ventures and offering domestic banking services. By providing cutting-edge products like the IFIC Aamar Account, IFIC Aamar Bari, IFIC Aamar Bhobishawt, and IFIC Shohoj Account, the bank has gradually established a reputation for providing customer-centric services. In keeping with its "One-Stop Service" model, IFIC Bank has integrated its customer service operations into a One-Stop Touchpoint, guaranteeing accessibility and financial inclusion throughout its nationwide network of over 1,300 branches and Uposhakhas. My hands-on experience as an intern at IFIC Bank PLC is documented in this internship report. Before getting into the specifics of the general banking procedures I witnessed and took part in, it starts with a summary of the bank's composition, activities, and services. The analysis of the bank's financial performance, especially using important ratios and indicators covering the years 2020–2024, is a major focus of the report. The analysis shows the growth attained as well as the difficulties faced, such as volatility in profitability, provisioning pressures, and liquidity management. Along with reflecting on my own learning objectives, which include operational exposure, customer service, and MIS-driven analytics, the report ends with suggestions for how IFIC Bank can improve performance and maintain growth. The report, taken as a whole, documents my early experiences as an intern, providing insights into how my academic knowledge is applied in the real world and influencing my future professional goals in the banking industry.
