Employee engagement is an extended concept of employee satisfaction because when employees feel absolute belongingness at the workplace, their work spirit sparks and helps them to gain ultimate employee satisfaction. This report, with blended research techniques focused on the factors from Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs Theory, specifically unfulfillment of social needs for a multigenerational workforce, minimises the willingness of participation in the employee engagement initiatives. As per the survey analysis, heavy workload, minimal scope for inclusivity across generations X and Y, moderate susceptibility to contemporary culture, and scant longevity are hinders employee engagement initiatives during office hours at AkijBashir Group. Competent adaptation, metaphorical collaboration, a growth mindset, and other factors are recommended to mitigate gridlock and increase participation. Therefore, this report can be utilised by academicians, researchers, and scholars to examine the effectiveness of employee engagement initiatives in the AkijBashir Group.
