Abstract

Bangladesh is a riverine country but the number of rivers is decreasing day by day. At present there are around 230-240 rivers can be seen but according to some sources once the number was in between 800-1000. The domination of the rivers in the lives and livelihood of Bangladesh is very high. The rivers have huge impact on our tradition, culture, belief, language, housing pattern, living style, communication and many other aspects. Every river has its own story and history. But because of some reasons we are losing our this heritage. And to aware our future generation about our this and to celebrate our this heritage Chattagram Development Authority has given a proposal of a River Life Museum at Bakalia in Chattagram. The projects besides exhibition galleries with some public oriented facilities helps to create a lively and interactive complex.
