Central Public Library Dhaka: the cynosure of knowledge

Abstract

The Central Public Library will be the ‘cynosure of knowledge’. This means it will become thecenter where knowledge will give guidance to the people and at the same time it will attract all kinds of people into it to commute and share their knowledge creating an iconic civic hub. The library will also reflect our culture and our society to the foreign visitors in Bangladesh who come here to visit. Knowledge can be gained fruitfully with the right surroundings, environment and resources. Therefore ones’ senses need to be played with to fully grasp knowledge and enlightenment.
