Engineering program at Daffodil International University. Our project title is "Load Calculation & Substation Design," which immersed us deeply into the intricacies of electrical substations and related equipment. Through this project, we transitioned from theoretical understanding to hands-on practical knowledge, significantly enriching our understanding of the subject matter. Delving into various facets of substation engineering, we meticulously explored substation safeguarding, various protective relay kinds, bus-bar systems, installation techniques, and layout design and essential components like ring main units, AVR, and switchgear. Our comprehensive study extended to power transformers, distribution transformers, and instrument transformers, where we not only grasped theoretical concepts but also engaged in practical testing methodologies. The project enabled us to differentiate between transformers and instrument transformers, understand the critical role of current transformers (CT) in high-voltage applications, and appreciate the significance of load calculation in substation design. Additionally, we gained proficiency in substation switchgear, including high-tension (HT), low-tension (LT) and power factor improvement (PFI) as well as the utilization of circuit breakers for effective power distribution and protection. Our journey through this project has been transformative, equipping us with a robust foundation in substation engineering and empowering us with practical skills essential for real-world applications in the field.Item 10k Steps a Day – a Step Counter App for Android(Daffodil International University, 2022-01-04) Khan, Md. Sadik HasanAs the name suggests, “10k Steps a Day – A Step Counter App for Android” is a health focus android app for counting steps. The significance of the project lies in its ability to prompt people to make some time from their busy schedule daily so that they can lead a healthy life without sickness. But the core focus of this app is to help all the people suffering from “Diabetes”, a chronic and long lasting health condition affecting your body’s energy consumption through food. Which needless to say, in Bangladesh, has an abundance of. Currently there almost 10 million people has diabetes in Bangladesh. That is to say, 1 in every 16 people in Bangladesh has this long lasting health condition. And there is no cure for this condition as of now other than controlling it through proper diet and exercise. To that end, there is no substitute for taking a routine walk every day. But how much does one actually need to walk a day? Research has shown that, every day only 10,000 steps is required for an adult to sustain a healthy life. This is why I have developed a step counter android app to record the steps taken every day. This app will benefit everyone regardless of them being suffering from diabetes or not. I have added many useful features to this app to motivate them to go for a walk every day. I used android studio to develop this project. And for testing and debugging I have used Pixel 5 emulator and Oneplus 3t smartphone. The app is properly tested in multiple ways to ensure its credibility.Item 2-STEP DOOR LOCK SECURITY SYSTEM(Daffodil International University, 2018-05) HASAN HEMON, MD. MAMDUD; HAQUE ONY, MD. The country of Bangladesh's first comprehensive institute for learning 3D animation and visual effects It is an association of experts from the technological and creative fields who have gathered to offer good services. 3D designers produce 3D environments and characters based on concept drawings. 3d is a very sophisticated field. As a result, 3D artists are highly sought after in all sectors of the economy. Depending on the specialty, employment in this field increased by 8–14% by 2018 as reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). 3D visualization is a technique of a 3D digital representation of any object or surface can be created using the computer graphics technology. People who don't know how to operate appropriately and effectively find it difficult to deal with 3D graphics. People believe that this industry is too tough and difficult for them to perform in; I am not able to work because of this. They avoid the 3D industry because of this. Many works hard to create a beautiful 3D representation, but they fail to do so because they are unaware of the correct procedures for building a realistic scene. Because of this, numerous businesses, institutions, enterprises, and agencies have been searching for a qualified and experienced 3D artist, but ultimately failed to obtain it. Now since technology is constantly evolving, no one needs to leave their homes to make purchases. With the aid of technology, you may execute any purchase from your home. The freedom provided by 3D visualization allows you to design the interior and exterior of your home from a computer. You can furnish your home in 3D with just about any furniture, a character, as well as other objects. Today, 3D animation is commonplace. In the film industry, they're a great venue to create cartoons and animated movies. If they have rapid and simple decorating skills, those who are interested in 3D visualization can build a career in the field.Item 3D Reconstruction of Colonic Polyps: A Methodology for Improved Visualization and Analysis(Daffodil International University, 2025-05-14) Ahmed, Ishtiaque; Hamim, Md. Saimim Islam KhanColorectal cancer is one of the most common and life-threatening diseases worldwide, and colonoscopy remains the most effective method for early detection and removal of precancerous polyps from the human colon. However, a major limitation of conventional colonoscopy is the restricted field of view of the endoscope, which often prevents the complete visualization of a polyp’s surface. Due to complex polyp shapes or difficult camera angles, certain regions of the polyp may remain unobserved during the procedure, increasing the risk of misdiagnosis or incomplete removal. In this research, a 3D reconstruction-based approach is proposed to improve the visualization and analysis of colonic polyps using 2D endoscopic images. The overall framework begins with organizing the dataset based on lesion and video annotations, followed by automatic frame selection using mask-based conditions, image contrast, feature points, and depth quality scores to select the most informative frames for reconstruction. To improve image quality, reflection removal is applied using the EndoSRR framework. Depth maps are then estimated using ZoeDepth, a state-of-the-art monocular depth estimation model. Using these depth maps, dense point clouds are generated, and Region of Interest (ROI) extraction is performed for accurate reconstruction of the polyp surface. Clean 3D meshes are constructed using the Ball Pivoting Algorithm (BPA), along with refinement and hole-filling techniques. Additionally, the reconstructed 3D models are analyzed through various geometric and structural features, including shape descriptors and curvature. Finally, silhouette projection and alignment validation are performed to compare the 3D reconstructed model with the original 2D mask, ensuring accuracy and reliability of the reconstruction. This 3D reconstruction pipeline provides enhanced visualization of colonic polyps, enabling better inspection of previously unobserved regions and supporting further quantitative analysis for future computer-aided diagnosis systems.Item 3D Volume Reconstruction from Sparse 2D CT Slices Using Lightweight CNN & Attention(Daffodil International University, 2025-11-27) Kana, Shrabanti DashSparse slice acquisition is used to a great extent in the low dose CT imaging. This assistsin reduction of radiation. Nonetheless, it is likely to damage the quality of 3D reconstruction significantly. The resultant artifacts and noise are manifested. There is some evidence of a lightweight 2D CNN auto encoder, which consists of channel attention. The purpose of this set up is to enhance the quality of the sparse CT slices. It reinstates important structural information. Noise gets reduced too. All this is prior to the slices entering the entire volumetric process. Linear interpolation is used after the reconstruction process. This forms a full volume in 3D. The continuity across the slices is enhanced in the process. Experimental reviews point to high performance in this. The average SSIM of the model is 0.9660. Average PSNR comes in at 25.99 dB. These figures point to good structural fidelity in the general. Distortion is also rather low. Such outcomes are indicative of the usefulness of the lightweight approach. It is effective in efficient sparse data 3D CT reconstruction.Item 5g Security Challenges and Recommendations(©Daffodil International University, 2022-01-13) Shorifuzzaman, Md.5G will make it possible for everyone to have access to high-speed internet everywhere, and it will also make it possible for a huge number of devices (e.g. IoT) to be connected in an ultra-reliable and cheap way. Salauddin; Ali, Md. RifatWe looked into some of the mechanisms for securing corporate wired Ethernet, which are usually ignored. After a detailed analysis of all options, we decided on an IEEE 802.1X port-based authenticator technique. The authentication server is a radius server, and the authenticator is a Cisco switch. The major goal of implementing IEEE 802.1X is to limit guest access to the LAN/wired network and ensure that only genuine users are authenticated. The network is only accessible to authenticated users. The suggested approach uses Microsoft Active Directory Services in Microsoft server to monitor active users using centralized user access management. Individual configurations of all entities engaged in the mechanism are addressed in detail in order to properly offer a pilot version of the protocol that could be used to debug all faults before being deployed on a live network. We will be able to keep track of all users/employee action on the organization’s network by configuring the accounting tab on the Server Manager.Item A Bangladeshi Road Sign Detection & Recognition System Based on Template matching & Convolutional Neural Network(Daffodil International University, 2021) Karim, Md. ZiaulRoad Signs are very important but a neglected topic in the discipline of driving vehicles in Bangladesh. As a highly populous country chaos on the road has taken a disastrous shape over the past decade as the number of vehicles on the road had went up and road safety became a crying need as the lives lost in road accidents are constantly on the rise. In case of Road Signs in Bangladesh the descriptive text for it is given more emphasis than the sign itself. Whereas, in the developed countries the signs are given more importance, because Signs are supposed to be universally accepted in case of communication. Hence, the Road Signs in Bangladesh are put quite arbitrarily, especially in the metropolitan areas the signs are credited by Metropolitan Police, or sponsored by companies, they look more like posters or banners than a legitimate Road Sign and it becomes very difficult to locate them. As we are witnessing the development of Autonomous Driving Systems all over the world by companies like Tesla, it is becoming more and more popular in demand. The detection & recognition of Road Signs play a crucial role in it. In Bangladesh Road Signs are ignored most of the time & text based road signs are given the priority. While human brain is capable enough to detect text based Road Signs, a smart system can struggle. Nonetheless, two types of measures could be taken into account in this case, one is through text recognition based and the other is detecting the sign in the poster-like signs and then run it through a neural network based classification to identify it. The later solution was taken into account for this paper, as all the Road Signs (both poster-like & basics) contain the basic signs for directions, they may or may not contain descriptive text along with them, but the road signs are always present in larger or smaller scales. The solution was built around Deep Learning and Image Processing techniques for object detection, segmentation and classification. Supervised Learning and Transfer Learning were used in terms of technical development. Text based recognition systems are not ideal for metropolitan areas because there are so many posters and banners attached to the poles and around the Road Signs.Item A Basic Study on Web Design Development and Database(Daffodil International University, 2020-10-12) Alam, Md. HadiulThis internship is on A Basic Study on Web Design, Development and Database. Website Design, Development and Database were the major working sector of this internship. There is some web language like- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, query, bootstrap we used to develop our web-based application or software. These languages are only use for the fronted and back-end design of the software. Some other programming language such as PHP, JAVA used to build the dynamic functions of the software or Applications. By using this programming language, we can develop web-based software or application. While I was working as an intern on this company I also work to find bugs, errors and I learn how to overcome this type of error using a constructive guideline. Customers layouts maintenance and every sector have individual setting to modify and work this web-based application. This web-based application work on Windows as usual in Linux server. Commonly most web-based application are accessed by World Wide Web (WWW) via domain and host. So, now a days it’s getting very easy to access throw internet for any information if we build a web-based application. This is making our life more fluent. That’s why I choose “A Basic Study on Web Design, Development and Database”. This report will demonstrate my whole learning journey during the internship period.Item A Bengali Text Summarization Using Encoder-decoder Based on Social Media Dataset(Daffodil International University, 2021-01-27) Rahat, Minhajul Abedin; Mahdi, Md. Tahmid Alie - Al –; Fouzia, Fatama AkterText summarization defines artifices of reducing a long document to create a tale of the main aims of the original text. Due to the huge number of long posts nowadays, the value of summarization is produced. Reading the main document and getting a desirable summary, time and stress are worth it. Using Machine learning & natural language processing built an automated text summarization system can solve this problem. So, our proposed system will distribute an abstractive summary of a long text automatically in a period of some time. We have done the full analysis with the Bengali text. In our planned model we used a chain-to-chain models of RNN with LSTM in the encrypting layer. The structure of our model works applying an RNN decoder and encoder where the encoder inputs text documents and creative output as a short summary at the decoder. This system improves two things namely, summarization & establishing great performance with ignoble train loss. To train our model we use our dataset that was created from various online media, articles, Facebook, and some people's personal posts. The difficulties we face most here are Bengali text processing, limited text length, enough resources for collecting text.Item A Bengali Word Identification and Verification Using Machine Learning Approach(Daffodil International University, 2022-01-04) Hasan, Md. Shakibul; Rana, Masud; Rahman, Nasim BinThe research project is mainly based on image classification. We also showed a path to Optical Character Recognition. If we are to define Optical Character Recognition is basically a technology which can change over a computerized image of content to editable content i.e it can change digital image to editable text. An OCR by using image processing and classification for Bangla dialect is proposed here. The primary step of this project is that to recognize and detect 'text', the usage of image classification and Convolutional Neural Network(CNN) is implemented. Characters are separated from the Corpus and then the most decisive and challenging of the project step is implemented which is the verification of the word or corpus. The Bengali word or corpus is then extracted from the digital image and then it is converted to digital font and then the digital font is compared with our accumulated data set to verify whether the word is absolute or not. To enrich the diversity of Bengali language in the field of technology the project plays a very significant role from its own view.Item A bibliometric analysis of articles citing the machine learning algorithm(Daffodil International University, 2018-05) Islam, Md ImranulIn the face of comparatively recent emergence of the machine learning algorithm, the originating article has already cited by a large number of studies, and hence it appears to have become a popular theoretical and practical choice with in the field of Machine Learning Algorithm. Blockchain is being used in identity management, cryptocurrency, supply chain management, and many more. In recent years using of blockchain in finance, supply chain, and data-storing sectors has increased significantly. As it provides immutability and openness, it can be used in government fund supply. When government allocates funds for specific purposes and people, in most cases there is no knowledge of the recipient’s identity. Some corrupt people take advantage of the handwritten system and put the wrong people’s names for their benefit. To solve these issues, a Blockchain-based platform(DAPP) has been proposed in this research. A decentralized identity proof and fund transfer system has been proposed here. People who need the fund can apply through this DAPP with the proper documentation. The authority can verify these documents and provide approval decisions on the DAPP. For example, the election commission office can confirm if the provided NID is original or not, the land office can confirm if that person has any land or not. After collecting approval, a candidate list will be sent to the admin and the admin will allocate a hash for the candidate. After providing this hash to integrated mobile banking, one can collect cash. A prototype of this DAPP is discussed at the end of this thesis. I have used the Ethereum blockchain platform for this prototype. In the future, this can be developed using any kind of public or private blockchain platform.Item A Briefly Concept on the Features of Switchgears, PFI and Transformer(Daffodil International University, 2019-08) Islam, Md. MarofaIn this project, a web application for providing good teaching for students has been developed. This application can enhance the capabilities of the all students of our country. It is developed in order to help students to find out their right teacher. On the other hand, one of the biggest advantages of online private teaching is that lessons can easily be customized to suit each student. As private tuition is usually one-to-one function, tutors and students are able to work much more closely and develop stronger relationships between them. Thus, students will respond better to a teacher that is suited to them, in terms of both temperament and learning style. We have used PHP, Codeigniter Framework, MySQL and HTML to complete this project. This application has three parts - admin panel, parent panel, and teacher panel, Admin panel is for maintaining all information and system settings. Teacher panel and parent panel deal with all sorts of works regarding tuition, e.g. completing registration, creating a post, editing post. This web application is fully responsive in that anyone can browse this application from his/her multimedia phone, tab, laptop and desktop. This project is functionally very easy to operate. Thus, development of a C2C ecommerce application has been accomplished.Item A Case Study on Customer Satisfaction Towards Online Banking in Bangladesh(Daffodil International University, 22-09-21) Hayat, MD AbulIn the technological era of today.
