Item Report on RF Mesh System for Smart Metering(East West University, 2022-10-30) Muttaque, AhanafThis paper describes the RF mesh system design and ongoing project in DPDC for advance metering infrastructure and its performance. This system is based on Neighborhood Area Lan (LAN). Its operating band is 920-925 MHz and is based on the frequency hopping spread spectrum. The deployment scenario's geographic model serves as the foundation for the performance evaluation, which uses geographical routing and the appropriate models for radio transmission. It ensures accurate and error free billing. Further, we conclude that the RF mesh system supports us for smart metering and create transparency to customers and DPDC.Item Report on GPRS System for Smart Metering Networks in Bangladesh(East West University, 2022-12-27) Juti, Kazi JannataraAdvanced Metering Infrastructures use General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) for wireless communication in many Smart Grid installations (AMI). In this essay, I go over the authentication and encryption options that are available in GPRS security features and assess how well they work in a Smart Grid scenario. I draw the conclusion that GPRS' usefulness depends on the authentication and encryption options selected, as well as on choosing a reputable and trustworthy mobile network operator.Item Credit Card Fraud and Bankruptcy Detection Using Machine Learning(East West University, 2022-09-28) Juma, Habiba Islam; Raja, Rakibur Rahman; Zaman, Md RubayatThe study details the implementation of two separate machine learning projects referred to as "Credit Card Fraud Detection" and "Bankruptcy Detection," each of which makes use of four unique machine learning models. The research was carried out with the assistance of the K-Nearest Neighbor, Decision Tree, Support Vector Machine, and Logistic Regression models. When compiling the supervised datasets that we used, we used information from two reliable sources. We have under-sampled the data to build a more representative sample, and we have employed the feature selection approach to increase the accuracy with which these models anticipate our main goal. In the end, we assessed the results that each model produced against one another and chose the one that had the greatest overall performance. In addition to this, we have provided suggestions on how future models and data collecting may be improved.Item Hotel Management System(East West University, 2022-09-28) Akash, Md. Ahsan Kabir; Sarafath, Kazi ZafarullahThe hotel management system maintains records of visitors and offers tools for booking, registering, creating bills, entering room rates, etc. Manual systems have drawbacks, such as limited data storage and slow operation. Registers become messy and paper-intensive when records are updated and deleted. It takes a very long time to look up someone's information in the manual register. As a result, Hotel Management System (HMS) was created to get around the drawbacks of the manual system. Oracle database serves as the backend and hypertext markup language is the front-end tool in HMS software. The HMS program offers specifics on the services offered, including information about the room, employee, client, and charge. The use of authentication to access the software has been secured. Access to the software is restricted to authorized users, enhancing security.Item A Comparative Study and Analysis of Proactive and Reactive Routing Protocols in MANET Using NS3(East West University, 2022-09-28) Hossain, Md Naim; Hasan, Md RatulThis thesis presents the comparative study and analysis of two different types of routing protocols Proactive and Reactive in MANET. This two routing protocols are basically part of the networking to improve the transmission of data perfectly. We have set different parameters and observed the result. The experiment shows us in change of nodes and sending packet size how those routing protocols are behave and gives us the best protocol to establish. In case increasing the nodes gives us particular results for different packet size and same for the increasing the packet size we get different results for different nodes. Specifically, we are using AODV from Re-active routing protocols and DSDV, OLSR from Pro-active routing protocols in MANET to observe Throughput, End to End delay, END to END Jitter delay, Average Throughput, Good put, Packet loss ratio, Packet delivery ration and Packet per second. We have the simulation runs for 70 simulated seconds, of which the first 50 are used for start-up time. The number of nodes is 50, 75, 100 and 125. Nodes move according to Random Way point Mobility Model with a speed of 20 m/s and no pause time within a 500x1000 m region. The WiFi is in ad hoc mode with a 2 Mb/s rate (802.11b) and a Friis loss model. The transmit power is set to 7.5 dBm. It is possible to change the mobility and density of the network by directly modifying the speed and the number of nodes. Here we specifically change the nodes and packet size to observe the different scenario. By default, there are 10 source/sink data pairs sending UDP data at an application rate of 2.048 Kb/s each. This is typically done at a rate of 4 64,128,256-byte packets per second. Application data is started at a random time between 50 and 51 seconds and continues to the end of the simulation. That’s how we observe the Throughput, End to End delay, END to END Jitter delay, Average Throughput, Good put, Packet loss ratio, Packet delivery ration and Packet per second scenario by changing parameters which are nodes and packet size.Item Design of a High speed hyperbolic and Gaussian pulse generators with electro-optic modulators based on different bit sequences for the digital fiber optic communication link(East West University, 2022-02-06) Muhammad, Sadi; Vuiya, Md. Jobayer HossainThe study outlines the simulation of two pulse generators for the enhancement of optical fiber access transmission networks with flow rates of 5 and 10 Gbps and transmission ranges of 50 km, 100 km, and 150 km. Gaussian and hyperbolic secant pulse generators are used. For effective transmission, the proposed pulse generators are combined with both an electro-absorption modulator (EAM) and a Mach-Zehnder modulator (MZM). For various bit sequences, we compared the maximum quality factor with length. In the best situations for different bit sequences, the signal power amplitude is measured for both optical fiber and PIN photodetector using optical time-domain visualizer and RF spectrum analyzer. It is observed that for various bit sequences, the Gaussian pulse generator/EAM has shown an efficient rise in Q factor value as compared to proposed pulse generators/MZM.
