    Dietary Management of Diabetic Patient at BIRDEM General Hospital.

    Having an internship opportunity at BIRDEM General Hospital is a great experience. Getting closer of experts and patients is another great lesson. Acquisition of further knowledge on diabetic and its management increases the confidence. Most of patients admitted into hospital are suffering from diabetic for a long period of time. After analysing their disease history, it is concluded that they were not following a good life style as well as not aware about their diet. In the treatment procedure diet is playing a vital role beside the other medication. Some patient is in critical condition and some are not being able to control their diabetic level. According to medical perspective the normal blood glucose level is 6-8 mmol/L. Many other difficulties are directly and indirectly related with diabetic. Most common are diabetic nephropathy, diabetic neuropathy, diabetic gastropathy, diabetic foot etc. For diabetic nephropathy some common test is advised by doctors. S. creatinine, S. potassium, S. sodium and S. chloride are important and the normal range are (0.67-1.3) mg/dl, (3.5-5.2) mmol/L (136-148) mmol/L and (98-108) mmol/L respectively. Five patients among selected ten patients are found out of normal range for S. creatinine and six patients are found out of range for S. sodium. Three different kilocalories (1200, 1400 and 1600 kilocalorie) diet chart are suggested for the patients. Most of patient are found more than 40 years old. Test report analysis, direct conversation with patients, diabetic treatment process, applicable diet chart for diabetic patients etc, are the learning of the study. For being a professional nutritionist, this experience will contribute a lot.

    Diabetes Complications Nutritional Management at BIRDEM General Hospital

    Institute of Research and Rehabilitation in Diabetes, Endocrine, and Metabolic Disorders" in Bangladesh”, which is situated at, Dhaka, operates with the capacity of 600 beds multidisciplinary medical institution complex, overseen by the ‘Diabetic Association of Bangladesh’. In 1956, diabetes was initially perceived as an ailment afflicting the affluent, but it swiftly transformed into a global epidemic, particularly impacting underdeveloped and emerging nations. The BIRDEM outpatient department (OPD) admits 3,000 patients daily, making it the foremost facility in Bangladesh for diabetic patient care. BIRDEM General Hospital employs a range of treatments to manage diabetes, emphasizing the significance of a healthy diet as well as manage to bottom down the sugar level of human blood. Nutrition education and counseling play a vital role in guiding patients toward informed decisions. Regular ‘foot examinations’ and interventions are crucial for averting diabetes-related complications. Addressing kidney disease, nerve damage, vision issues, and heart ailments requires tailored therapeutic approaches. A diabetic-friendly diet focuses on stabilizing the sugar level of blood by regulating the intake of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats, aiming to mitigate the possibilities of complications like heart problems, kidney impairment, and damages of nerve.

    Research Implementation of The Human Development Research Centre (HDRC)

    One of Bangladesh's most well-known research institutions is the Human Development Research Center (HDRC). Since its establishment in 1999, this organization has garnered a commendable name and recognition in socioeconomic research. The HDRC has conducted over 250-300 empirical investigations on various subjects within contemplative studies. In addition, the organization has a notable history of doing research on policy and spearheading research-based advocacy campaigns, both of which have brought forth important insights into people's thought processes and decision-making tendencies. The purpose of the report below is to satisfy the criteria of the intern assessment process. I spent three months working here as part of my internship to obtain real-world experience in a sector related to my academics. I gained a lot of knowledge about study subjects, the way to operate as efficiently as possible, and program planning throughout my three-month internship. I was able to use my work skills to learn new things in research sector problem solving. Adolescent health and well-being, education, gender equality, human development, family planning, health, nutrition, population dynamics, healthcare, reproductive health, primary healthcare services, and resource development are among HDRC's main areas of concentration. The researchers are capable of producing reliable reports, accurate statistical analyses, and a thorough understanding of important national and international issues. The specialists at the HDRC demonstrate a high level of proficiency in collecting primary data in rural and indigenous regions through scientifically designed survey forms. Through effective management practices, the organization strategically recruits and engages highly skilled employees with the qualifications for specific assignments. The individual has exhibited proficiency and substantial expertise in collaborating with many prominent governmental entities, governments, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), U.N. ( United Nations ) institutions, national and international and development partners in Bangladesh.

    Production And Quality Control of Pran-RFL Group at Habiganj Agro Limited

    This term paper represents my contemplation on the 15-day internship I completed at Habiganj Agro Limited, situated in Olipur, Shayestaganj, Habiganj, Bangladesh. The hands-on experience and knowledge gained during this internship significantly contributed to my understanding of various fields such as PCL, carbonated soft drinks, PE, noodles, croissants, chips, biscuits, cakes, and research and development. PRAN, a leading food industry in Bangladesh, plays a crucial role in addressing issues of hunger and poverty by focusing on productive enterprises to generate employment opportunities and instill pride in fellow citizens. As one of the country's most successful companies, PRAN significantly contributes to the national economy by providing employment and reducing the unemployment rate. PRAN, symbolizing life's taste, stands out as a unique food company in Bangladesh. Notably, they distribute their diverse products, spanning confectionery, farm products, bottled water, baked products, soft drinks and cookies, to 144 different countries daily. Among the key players in the PRAN-RFL group is Habiganj Agro Limited, a major food production company where products like fruit juice, carbonated soft drinks, wheat bread, wafer, and spices are manufactured. My internship at Habiganj Agro Limited offered a valuable opportunity to observe and gain firsthand experience in their processes. The company exhibited courtesy by furnishing me with all the essential resources, enabling me to concentrate on my academic pursuits during the internship duration.

My report delves into the compensation management practices of Akij Food & Beverage Ltd., aiming to gain insights into how their robust compensation policy enhances efficiency and employee motivation. The primary objective of this term paper is to scrutinize the compensation management practices and policies of AFBL. The report not only provides an overview of these practices but also offers recommendations and conclusions from my perspective. I believe that the implementation of these suggestions could contribute to the enhancement of the bank's compensation policies. Furthermore, this endeavor is expected to be beneficial for our future careers.

    Study Of Production and Quality Control Methods At Igloo Ice Cream Ltd.

    This report provides a comprehensive overview of my internship experience at Abdul Monem Limited, namely inside the Igloo Ice Cream & Milk Unit Quality Assurance & Production Department, as well as its collaborative interactions with other departments. The present report delineates the various activities and responsibilities undertaken, as well as the encountered problems, during the course of my internship. Additionally, it highlights the information and skills acquired throughout this professional experience. The internship was placed at Abdul Monem Limited's Igloo Ice Cream and Milk Unit throughout the year 2022. I have acquired a comprehension of the processes involved in the creation of various ice cream varieties, as well as the methods employed for assessing their quality. The manufacturing or production of this product is carried out in accordance with a flow diagram developed by their proprietary factory. To ensure quality control, physical, chemical, and microbiological testing are mostly conducted. The primary objectives of this article are to enhance production and quality control processes and to ascertain the specific health risks and hazards related to the Igloo Ice Cream and Milk Unit. The focus of my paper centers around the manufacturing of ice cream products that adhere to safety standards and have been certified by Igloo Ice Cream Ltd. During the initial 20-day period, I underwent observation at Abdul Monem Limited within the Igloo Ice Cream & Milk Unit. This encompassed many departments such as Quality Assurance, Production, Milk, Chocolate, Cone Biscuit, and Plastic sections. Over the course of the following ten days, I engaged in a comprehensive observation of several departments inside Igloo Ice Cream Ltd., including the engineering unit, ETP plant unit, general store unit, administration and distribution unit, as well as the raw materials receipt procedure. The study provides comprehensive information regarding the organizational structure, sanitation practices, sanitary facilities across various industries, and the procurement of certified raw materials. Incorporate the procurement of raw materials, prioritize the implementation of safety measures during the manufacturing process, and conduct a thorough quality assessment of the final product prior to its introduction into the market. Within the context of the Igloo Ice Cream & Milk Unit, an examination of Abdul Monem Limited's quality assurance and safe production processes has been undertaken. During my internship at Abdul Monem Limited's Igloo Ice Cream & Milk Unit, I gained practical experience in quality control, production management, and compliance with regulatory regulations. Additionally, I acquired an understanding of the significance of effective collaboration and communication. In general, the internship at Abdul Monem Limited's Igloo Ice Cream & Milk Unit Quality Assurance and Production Department provided a valuable opportunity to get practical experience in a professional setting.

    An internship report on nutritional management of diabetic patients at BIRDEM General Hospital

    BIRDEM, an esteemed institution situated in the Shahbagh area of Dhaka, is a comprehensive medical, academic, and research center specializing in the study and treatment of diabetes, endocrine, and metabolic disorders in Bangladesh. The government orchestrated the provision of funding for the creation of the Diabetic Association of Bangladesh (DAB), which subsequently occupied three expansive multi-story structures. Out of the total bed capacity of 542, the hospital, situated inside a 15-story structure, designates 80 beds specifically for disadvantaged individuals suffering from diabetes. More than 3,000 individuals are seen and undergo medical examinations on a daily basis. Bangladesh's healthcare system is characterized by its substantial provision of clinical and diagnostic resources. BIRDEM's clinical services provide complete diabetic treatment to all registered patients with diabetes, without any associated costs. Diabetes patients are provided with complimentary medical treatment via the implementation of the "Cross Financing" initiative, whereby funds are generated by levying charges on other patients for their medical and diagnostic services. I was assigned the responsibility of overseeing the interior space. During my time at the indoor facility, I had the opportunity to engage with patients from all backgrounds and with diverse medical conditions. My primary area of interest is in persons with diabetes who also suffer from chronic kidney disease (CKD), stroke, and electrolyte imbalances. I consistently saw patients of this kind on a regular basis. I engaged in conversations with the patients while doing rounds inside the wards, gathering insights into their present medical statuses, dietary needs, and any associated difficulties, which I appropriately documented. Furthermore, it is important to give due consideration to their dietary regimen.
