Design and Development of Real Time Temperature and Solar Radiation Measurement System.
(East West University, 2015-08-25) Hemjal, Md. Abu; Al-Mahbub, Abdullah
Solar energy is one of the solutions to the energy crisis as it is renewable and has no Environmental hazards. Thus, we investigated the dye sensitized solar cell aiming at introducing a clean and cheap energy resource measuring system. We started our investigation using the conditions recommended in the literature, i.e. using ATmega328p microcontroller based Arduino Uno board, Real Time Clock ( DS3231), LM35 Temperature sensor, Solar cell with an operational amplifier. Measuring solar radiation is essential for determining the viability of a solar system in a particular surface.

Design Simulation and Performance Analysis of Microstrip Patch Array Antenna using HFSS
(East West University, 8/1/2015) Ahmed, Rizvi; Islam, Md. Rakibul
An antenna is a device (usually metallic) for sending or receiving electromagnetic waves. The antenna is an important part of radio equipment. The antenna has to be tuned to the right frequency or the radio waves can neither be emitted nor captured efficiently. In transmission, a radio transmitter applies a radio frequency to the terminals of the antenna and then the antenna radiates the energy from the antenna as electromagnetic waves. In reception, an antenna intercepts some of the power of an electromagnetic wave to produce a radio frequency at its terminals that is applied to a receiver in order to be amplified and demodulated. In some cases the same antenna can be used for both transmitting and receiving. There are several different kinds of antennas available at Future Electronics. We stock many of the most common types categorized by several parameters including operating frequency, power handling, gain, operating temperature range and type. These types include rubber ducky, embedded, conformal and weatherized.

Design and Developing of a Microcontroller Based Home Appliance Control System Using Wi-Fi
(East West University, 8/1/2015) Islam, Md. Inzamul; Haider, S. M. Ariful
done and make the life easier. The purpose of this project is to design a control system that is able to control a system device remotely from distant places and monitoring conditions of the system web page on the Arduino and advances step by step from there. This project shows how to set up an Arduino with Ethernet shield as a web server. The web servers in this project are used to serve up web pages that can be accessed from a web browser and allows our hardware to be controlled from web browser. Starting from basic, our example for this project is simple. We want to access our device by switching ON-OFF LED and monitor analog input data acquisition from web server, which are computer or mobile phone and Arduino connected to the same network. Also we can control ( ON/OFF ) every electronic and electrical load (operated by 220V ) of our home like lights, fans, AC, refrigerators, TVs using relays with this system. The system has been designed and implemented practically. It is found that the system works perfectly.

Design & Development of a Microcontroller Based on measuring Real Time Data and Interface with Mobile through Bluetooth
(East West University, 8/1/2015) Hosain, Shah Md. Manjir; Fatema, Kaniz
We know smart phone is a big blessing in our daily life. Through the smart phone we can do several things. That simplifies our work. We can also use it as technology purposes. In this project, we have designed and developed an Arduino based measuring system. Here we use real time clock, Arduino uno, sensor, Bluetooth, signal conditioning circuit, and Android mobile. The system can measure radiation, time and temperature. Arduino read data from radiation sensor and save data in EEPROM. When we need those data then we paired our Android mobile with Bluetooth. Consequently we can read data in our mobile phone. Here, an Arduino board has been used as the main controlling unit, HC-05 module as the Bluetooth sensor. A program has been developed and burnt into the microcontroller of the Arduino module. The system is constructed and tested and found to work satisfactorily.

Performance Analysis of Microstrip Patch Antenna For Ultra Wide Band Application
(East West University, 12/12/2015) Afrin, Syeda Sanjida; Dev, Pinky Rani
In this Thesis paper we propose the antenna geometry to design a very compact microstrip patch antenna for ultra-wide band application using thin dielectric substrate having low dielectric constant. This antenna provides better efficiency, better band-width without any enhancement in the weight, volume or cost. HFSS high frequency simulator is employed to analyze the proposed antenna and simulated results on return loss, gain, radiation pattern is presented. The antenna parameter in frequency domain analysis has been investigated to show its capability as an effective radiating element. Our new shape of antenna which is D over D shape can operate at 4.78-8.48 GHZ frequency range. Due to low-profile structure it can be used in the WLAN (wireless local area network), Router, WI-FI, Modem and other wireless application using this frequency range.

Ethernet Shield Based Servo Motor Control System for Entrance Security Using Internet
(East West University, 10/11/2015) Hossain, Sajjad; Hasan, Md. Fakrul
Home security is something, that is applicable to all of us and a traditional home security system involves having lock on the door or security guards which can prevent burglary in some cases. This project is aimed to develop a micro controller based control system where a servo motor has been controlled by internet. The servo motor actually controls a security lock for entrance door. The resident can choose to control the door from anywhere which gives security as well as convenience for him. An Ethernet shield has been used along with Arduino Uno microcontroller. Arduino sends appropriate signal to the servo motor which eventually opens or locks the door. The user sends command using particular apps/browser through internet to the Ethernet shield which eventually conveys the signal to the microcontroller. Under this project we have successfully implemented and demonstrated the prototype of this system. This project can also be extended to control other home/office/industrial appliances (using relay).

    Passive Inter Modulation (PIM) Testing
(East West University, 11/10/2015) Muhammad, Mir Taufiq
The objective of this document is to define best practices for measurement and prevention of Passive Inter modulation (PIM) in wireless networks. While International Electro technical Commission (IEC) specification does a good job of defining test procedures for PIM testing individual RF components in a factory environment, additional guidelines are needed for field environments. Due to the added complexity in-building environments, has been included to provide best practices for Distributed Antenna System (DAS) applications. Similarly, has been included to provide best practices for Small Cell deployments. PIM testing fiber-fed antenna installations which run optical fiber and DC power directly to the antenna structure, also referred to as Active Antenna Solutions (AAS), are outside of the scope of this document.

(East West University, 12/10/2015) Khan, Md. Mahmud Hossain
This report focuses on the whole networking system of an ISP company. Internet Service Provider (ISP) can provide various services like data connectivity service, Internet service, Security ensures, Fiber optic networks, Network infrastructure design and maintenances and support. In enterprise network infrastructure, ISPs provide redundant links or backup mechanism that can keep up a network even when unplanned outage occurs. To ensure maximum availability of a designed network it is difficult when power outage or load shedding occurs. There are many kind of services also can provide an ISP like IP telephony services, Vehicle tracking system, restore petrol and cut of engine also.

Analysis of Electromagnetic Properties of Graphene Nano-Ribon (GNR)
(East West University, 12/5/2015) Haque, Kazi Ashraful
A theoretical investigation is carried out to see the change of electromagnetic Graphene Nano-Ribon with respect to number of layer of its own. To see this change we have consider a electrical circuit of graphene nano-Ribon . There we have seen the effect of it electromagnetic properties. At 1st we have seen the effect of its resistance with respect to its width. Then we have seen the change of its Resistance, inductance and capacitance with respect to number of layer of its own. We also observed the band gap effect of graphene nano-ribon with respect to its width. Graphene Nano-Ribon(GNR) is not yet using widely in the modern world rather this is a future aspect that will surely be used in recent future.
