    Transformer Monitoring and Protection System
(Daffodil International University, 23-01-18) Bhuiyan, Easin
One of the most crucial pieces of equipment in the network of the power system is the transformer of the substation. Data collecting, condition monitoring, and automated regulating are significant difficulties in power systems due to the numerous transformers and varied components spread across a huge region. Designing a Transformer monitoring system is the goal of the project. The current monitoring system involves labor, which takes time, and it is challenging to foresee when defects may arise. In this project, we created a system that uses sensors to continually track the properties of the transformer, including the load current, voltage, and oil temperature. On the LCD, these values are continually presented. The relay tripping system is operational and an alarm system is triggered to warn if any irregularities in the transformer occur. The transformer will benefit from this system's smooth operation and early problem detection.

(Daffodil International University, 2020-04) Abu Zubair, Shah; Islam, Md. Hasibul
This thesis is on “Life Cycle Cost Assessment” (Gas-based power plant). We have selected a power plant named Summit 35 MW Gas-Based power plant. To calculate or estimate unit generation cost. Financial and technical data has been collected from the EnergyPaC or primary technoeconomic data have been used for life cycle cost assessment. Tariff for consumer also estimated based on electricity bill or Results show that the per unit electricity generation for this power plant is 4.55BDT. Estimated consumer tariff is ***. We compared the economical issue with Katakhali 50MW (Oil-based power plant). For gas and oil based we determined fuel cost. Then we determined the service cost. For service cost estimation we determined Operation and maintenance cost, Yearly Depreciation (for depreciation calculation we calculated Intangible plant, Production Plant & General Plant) Regulatory Working Capital, ECA Loan Calculation, Commercial Loan Calculation, Return on Equity Calculation. These are the non-fuel cost. Then we summation the fuel cost and non-fuel cost. Then we get the complete generating cost/Indicative cost for gas-based power plant and for oil-based power plant. Finally we compared them. We found that Gas-based power plant is cheaper than Oil-based power plant which is important.

Traffic System Analysis with Priority for Emergency Vehicles in Bangladesh
(Daffodil International University, 2021-07-12) Islam, SK. Farhanul
The congestion of the road today becomes an important challenge for densely populated cities like Dhaka, Bangladesh. Emergency response vehicles are one of the main services affected by road delays (e.g. ambulances, fire trucks). This thesis has been developed on traffic system analysis with preference for emergency vehicles by controlling the traffic signals to smooth the traffic flow for emergency vehicles. The RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology used to link wirelessly the traffic signals & emergency vehicles together. The main concept behind the suggested system is that whenever an emergency vehicle comes to a standstill owing to significant traffic congestion, RFID placed at the traffic signal (receiver) recognizes the RFID tagged vehicle (transmitter) and communicates the information to the microcontroller. The controller IC in this case controls the traffic light based on the data received from the receiver. The signal is then turned Green for a short period until the vehicle passes past it, at which point it reverts to its normal signaling sequence. This technology delivers commands to the microcontroller to control the traffic lights and shorten response times during emergencies. It also serves as a mission to save lives. There are currently no proven adaptive algorithms, which could give emergency vehicles priority in Bangladesh. This analysis can also draw a valuable lesson for the setting of signals for emergency vehicles and to enable traffic technicians to establish effective emergency signal timing plans. Here I tried to show that how effectively the delays reduced by using this technology with some realistic collected data from different traffic scenarios.

Performance Enhancement in LTE-Advanced for Mobile Communication System
(Daffodil International University, 2019-08-27) Ali, Abdikarim Mohamed
The long term evolution (LTE) project was initiated in 2004 motivated by the need to reduce the cost per bit. And the flexible use of new and the existing frequency band. LTE-Advanced is the project named of the evolved version of LTE that is being developed by the 3GPP.LTE Advanced offers considerably higher data rates than even the initial releases of LTE. While the spectrum usage efficiency has been improved, this alone cannot provide the required data rates that are being headlined for 4G LTE Advanced. So as to accomplish higher data rates and efficiently utilize the available resources to design good channel with QOS the using CA and MIMO is the best solution for growing number of subscribers and good transmission. This thesis focusing on CA stands for Carrier Aggregation enables greater speeds because it allows you to download data from multiple sources at the same time. Instead of connecting to the best signal in your vicinity, your smartphone can combine multiple signals, even on different frequencies. Up to five of these ―component carriers,‖ each offering up to 20MHz of bandwidth, can be combined, which creates a maximum aggregated data pipe up to 100MHz and MIMO stands for Multiple Input Multiple Output, and it can increase the overall bitrate by transmitting two (or more) different data streams on two (or more) different antennas. All this accomplished by using MATLAB software program which simulate the performance enhancement of LTE-Advanced by using CA and MIMO techniques

Phased Array Antenna Design for 5G Network Technology
(Daffodil International University, 2020-10-15) Osman, Yahya Abdullahi Moalim
In this thesis, a phased array antenna design for 5G mobile communication is presented. In smart antenna for 5G, it has an ability to radiate signal towards users at far distance with high directivity. Our project we used a notched circular patch antenna array operating at 28 GHz using CST software. Extensive optimization process for optimum antenna performance is generated besides analyzing the beam forming pattern of the antenna for 5G antenna using CST software. Several methods are used throughout the design procedure, such as The antenna design tool Antenna Magus. Antenna Magus is a new software tool to help engineers accelerate the antenna design and modelling process. It has a huge database of designed antennas which can be exported to CST MICROWAVE STUDIO for further analysis and optimization. This simplifies the day-to-day work of antenna designers and modelers ensuring that more projects are completed within specification and on time. Specifically, 2x2 array and 2x4 array antennas which have an antenna spacing of lambda (λ) are designed consecutively. Rogers of εr 2.2 (Rogers RT5880) is used as the dielectric substrate because a low dielectric substrate close to air or close to 1 will allow a higher radiation pattern as compared to much higher permittivity value and also a substrate thickness of 0.5357mm is used. The simulation is successfully completed for getting the results that fulfil the design specification which has return loss of -10. The gain and directivity at the operating frequency is greater than 10dB and 10dBi.The bandwidth is greater than 4 GHz.

This research work presents the analysis of the radiation exposure level of workers in the department of X-Ray, CT scan, and MRI. The information was gathered from that particular department and it was investigated and compared with the standard radiation dose level that is verified worldwide by the International Committee on radiological protection (ICRP). In which the reason for this thesis is to define the impact of worker's radiation levels and how the results of radiation to the people groups in the hospitals and close by just as states some careful steps because of tipsiness for a specific circumstance. This works described appropriation and patterns of doses which came word related radiation exposure among radiologists from some chose diagnostics in Dhaka Bangladesh, where multi-month portion estimations were gathered for a time of half year. A transportable situation radiation screen (thermoluminescent dosimeters) was utilized to measure the level of radiation in work environments in certain departments that manage radiation of diagnostic situated in various places of the city. An aggregate of 57 radiation workers was observed. The average estimated radiation doses of the workers are 0.02 to 7.75 mSv. Among these, workers in the radiology division got the highest assessed doses. The investigation shapes the exposures phase of more extensive, complete, and increasingly normal observing of word related radiation introductions and long haul examinations concerning its gathering designs, which could frame the premise of future records on the hindering impacts of radiation, normal for laborers who work in radiation fields. The ionizing hazard has very much impactful on people's regular life. Different types of cancers arise to emerge because of obvious radiation exposure to ionizing radiation like X-beams. This thesis work is not only for occupational workers, but it also for the general peoples who visited there for health issues or diagnostic issues. Finally, we can say that this exposure increased sometimes unintentionally or sometimes having a lack of knowledge. The occupational workers have to very much sincere and well known about the exposure. They must have to maintain the safety and all precautions for the patients also for themselves.

(Daffodil International University, 2020-09-26) Ferdous, Johan; Islam, Md. Mafiul; Sutradhar, Sajib Chandra
Over the past years, Virtual private networks (VPN) is an essential technique for providing remotely secure connections to exchange information while IPv6 is the future of the internet. It is superior to the currently reigning version of the internet protocol, Ipv4. But due to the backward compatibility problem of IPv6, is not deployed nationwide yet. In This Project Analysis of GRE over IPSec-VPN Tunneling Over IPv6 is done using GNS3 network simulator connecting two remote offices with IPv4 compatible devices over an IPv6 internet providing a VPN tunneling protocol solution for establishing a private secure network. Which facilitates the IPv6 deployment ensuring co-existence of Internet protocols until IPv6 compatible devices replace the entire old IPv4 compatible devices. The testing and verification analyzing of data packets have been done using the PING tool. Solar winds are used to measure the throughput and Wireshark ensures the encryption of data packets during data exchange between different sites belonging to the same institution. The performance in terms of response time, throughput, and packet encryption of the proposed method is analyzed. The result shows the average response time of 40.372 ms, a throughput in Kbps after transferring ICMP traffic from the source for the router, and finally after the crypto session analysis of the encrypted packet.
