Item EFFECT OF SALICYLIC ACID AND CaSO4 ON MORPHOLOGICAL CHARACTERS AND YIELD OF MUNGBEAN(DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURAL BOTANY, SHER-E-BANGLA AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY, DHAKA -1207, 2017-12) ISLAM, MOHAMMAD NURULThe experiment was conducted at the research plot of the department of Agricultural Botany of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka during the period from February 2017 to June 2017 to effect of salicylic acid and CaSO on morphophysiology growth and yield of mungbean. In this experiment, the treatment consisted of two mungbean varieties viz. V 1 = BARI mung 4, V = = BARI mung 6 and four different concentration of Salicylic acid (SA) and CaSO viz. T 0 =control, T 1 =5 mMole CaSO4, T 2 =Salicylic acid 0.5 mMole, T =Salicylic acid 0.5mMole + 5 mMole CaSO4. The experiment was laid out in a two factors randomized complete block design (RCBD) design having three replications. Results showed that a significant variation was observed among the treatments in respect of majority of the observed parameters. The collected data were statistically analyzed for evaluation of the treatment effect. Variety and salicylic acid and CaSO had significant influence on growth, yield and yield components of mungbean. The tallest plant (60.40 cm) was obtained from BARI Mung-6 with Salicylic acid 0.5milimole + 5 mMole CaSO4. The highest number of leaves plant -1 4 (14.33), pod length (9.52 cm), number of pods plant -1 (30.07), number of seeds pod -1 (13.53), thousand seed weight (73.17 g) was obtained from BARI Mung-6 with Salicylic acid 0.5milimole + 5 mMole CaSO4. The lowest number of leaves plant -1 (9.13), pod length (6.25 cm), number of pods plant (22.60), number of seeds pod -1 (11.53), thousand seed weight (36.91 g) was obtained from BARI Mung-4 with control treatment. The highest seed yield ha -1 (1.93 ton) was obtained from BARI Mung-6 with Salicylic acid 0.5milimole + 5 mMole CaSO4 treatment combinations while the lowest seed yield (1.26 ton) was recorded from BARI Mung-4 with control treatment combination. The most of the parameters gave the best performance which was achieved from BARI Mung-6. Again, Salicylic acid 0.5milimole + 5 mMole CaSO4 showed the best performance regarding most of the yield and yield contributing parameters. In case of combined effect, BARI Mung-6 and Salicylic acid 0.5milimole + 5 mMole CaSO4 gave the best result considering yield and yield contributing parameters. 3 -1 2 4 4Item EFFECT OF GIBBERELLIC ACID ON MORPHO- PHYSIOLOGICAL ATTRIBUTES AND YIELD OF OKRA(DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURAL BOTANY, SHER-E-BANGLA AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY, DHAKA-1207, 2017-12) MOUSUMI, FARZANA ALAMThe experiment was carried out in the experimental field of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka at the period of March to July 2017 to find the growth and yield of okra as influenced by different concentration of gibberellic acid. Seeds of BARI Dherosh 1 and Hybrid Variety were used as planting materials. The experiment consisted of two varieties of okra at levels of GA 3 (5 levels) as- G 0 (control), G 1 : 50 ppm GA 3 , G 2 : 100 ppm GA 3 , G 3 : 0 ppm GA 3 : 150 ppm GA 3 : 200 ppm GA 3 . The two factorial experiment was laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications. In case of variety, the tallest plant 28.66, 82.48 and 128.95 cm, respectively was from V 1 variety at 20, 40 and 60 DAS, respectively. Variety V 2 performed the maximum (18.38) number of pods and the highest pod yield (14.23 t ha ). On the other hand, at 20 DAS, the tallest plant (31.13 cm) was observed from G 3 (150 ppm GA 3 ) and at 40 and 60 DAS, the tallest plant (90.76 and 135.1 cm, respectively) was observed from G 2 (100 ppm GA 3 ) was contributed by G 2 maximum (19.52) number of pods and the highest pod yield (16.18 t ha . In The highest pod yield 14.23(t ha -1 ) was recorded from the application of 100ppm of GA 3 in Hybrid Variety followed by the yield of BARI Dherosh 1 14.01(t ha -1 ) with 100ppm of GA 3 at optimum harvest date. Both varieties increased the yield of okra at 100ppm. So, 100ppm GA 3 is suitable for okra production. and G 4 - 1 ). The - 1Item RESPONSES OF TOMATO TO DIFFERENT PLANT GROWING STRUCTURES AND COMPOSITION OF GROWING MEDIA IN ROOFTOP GARDEN(DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURAL BOTANY, SHER-E-BANGLA AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY, DHAKA -1207, 2017-12) AKTER, MOST. TANIAThis experiment was carried out at the rooftop garden of the Department of Agricultural Botany, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU), Dhaka1207, Bangladesh from October 2017 to March 2018 to evaluate the response of tomato to different plant growing structures and composition of growing media in the rooftop garden. The experiment had two factors, factor A- two plant growing structures, viz., S 1 = Plastic pot, S 2 = Earthen pot and factor B- six different plant growing medium viz. M 0 =Soil 100% (w/w) + inorganic fertilizer (IF)/(control), M 1 =Soil 80% (w/w) + 20% cowdung (w/w) + IF, M 2 =Soil 70% (w/w) + 30% cowdung (w/w) + IF, M 3 =Soil 90% (w/w) + 10% vermicompost (w/w) + IF, M 4 =Soil 80% (w/w) + 20% vermicompost (w/w) + IF, M 5 =Soil 80% (w/w) + 10% cowdung (w/w) + 10% vermicompost (w/w) + IF. The factorial experiment was laid out in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four replications. The experimental results such as morphological and yield contributing characters and yield of tomato significantly influenced by different plant growing structures and various composition of plant growing media and also their combination. Considering plant growing structures, the plastic pot (S 1 ) gave the higher plant height, number of leaves plant , branch plant -1 , flower clusters plant -1 , flowers plant -1 , fruit length and fruit breadth. The maximum yield of fruits plant -1 (1.69 kg) was also obtained from plastic pot and the minimum yield of fruits plant -1 (1.46 kg) was obtained from earthen pot (S 2 ). The Soil 80% (w/w) + 10% cowdung (w/w) + 10% vermicompost (w/w) + IF marked as (M 5 ) had the highest plant height, number of leaves plant -1 , branch plant -1 , flower clusters plant -1 -1 , flowers plant , fruit length and fruit diameter. The maximum yield of fruits plant (2.17 kg) was recorded from the soil 80%(w/w) + 10% cowdung(w/w) + 10% vermicompost(w/w) ) + IF noted as (M 5 ) whereas the minimum yield was found from control or M 0 (Soil 100% (w/w) + inorganic fertilizers conditions. The highest yield of fruits plant -1 (2.15 kg) was obtained from the treatment combination of S 1 M 5 (plastic pot along with the soil 80% (w/w) + 10% cowdung (w/w) + 10% vermicompost (w/w) + IF), which is consistent of other parameters such as morphological and yield contributing characters of this study. The lowest yield of fruits plant -1 (0.99 kg) was obtained from the treatment combinations of S 2 M 0 (earthen pot along with the soil 100% (w/w) + inorganic fertilizer /control) which is dependable to other characters of this study. This experimental results suggest that plastic pot along with soil 80% -1 -1 (w/w) + 10% cowdung (w/w) + 10% vermicompost (w/w) + IF be able to increase the fruit yield of BARI tomato14 for rabi season in the rooftop garden under the climatic conditions of SAU.Item EFFECT OF DIFFERENT SOWING METHODS AND VARIETIES ON THE YIELD OF MUSTARD (Brassica campestris L.) A THESIS(DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURAL BOTANY, SHER-E-BANGLA AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY, DHAKA -1207, 2017-12) RAHMAN, AZIZURThe experiment was carried out at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University Farm, Dhaka-1207, Bangladesh during Rabi season, November 2017 to February 2018 to find out the effect of different sowing methods and varieties on the yield of (Brassica campestris). The experiment comprised of two factors - the treatment consisted of four sowing methods viz. S 0 = Broadcast method, S = Line to line space 20 cm, S 2 = Line to line space 25 cm and S = Line to line space 30 cm and three different varieties viz. V 1 = BARI Sarisha 14, V 3 2 1 = BARI Sarisha 15 and V = BARI Sarisha 17. The experiment was laid out in two factors Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications. The collected data were statistically analyzed and a significant variation among the treatments was found in respect of majority of the observed parameters. The highest plant population was recorded from Broadcast method of sowing. The tallest plant was recorded from the plot of broadcast method. The maximum branches plant , dry matter weight plant -1 , siliqua plant -1 and seed silliqua -1 were recorded from the treatment line to line space 30 cm. The maximum thousand seed weight (2.97 g) was recorded from the broadcast method . The maximum yield of seed ha (1.11 t) was obtained from broadcast method. The highest plant population (77.25) was observed in case of BARI Sarisha 14. The tallest plant of mustard was found in case of with BARI Sarisha 15. The maximum branches plant -1 , dry matter weight plant -1 , siliqua plant -1 , seed silliqua -1 , and length of silliqua were obtained from BARI Sarisha 15. The highest yield of seed (0.95 t/ha) was obtained from BARI Sarisha 15. The combinations of different sowing methods and different varieties had significant effect on almost all the parameters. The highest biological yield per hectare (5.08 tones) was obtained from broadcast method with BARI Sarisha 15 treatment combination. -1 -1 3Item EFFECTS OF APPLICATION OF INDOL BUTYRIC ACID, GIBBERELLIC ACID AND ZINC ON GROWTH, YIELD AND QUALITY OF TOMATO(DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURAL BOTANY, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, 2017-12) MIA, MOHIDUL ISLAMThe growth, yield and quality of tomato largely depend on soil and climatic conditions and also on variety. Among these, proper application of plant growth regulators and Zn plays a vital role. The field experiment was conducted at Sher-eBangla Agricultural University Farm, Dhaka, Bangladesh during October 2017 to April 2018 to evaluate the effect of foliar application of IBA, GA and Zn on yield and quality of tomato. Single variety BARI Tomato-14, and foliar application of IBA 5ppm, GA 3 3 5ppm and Zn were used to conduct this experiment. The experiment was laid out in a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) having single factor and replicated three times. Data were collected on plant height, number of leaves plant , number of branches plant -1 , Leaf Area Index(LAI), chlorophyll content of leaf, number flowers cluster pant -1 , number of fruit plant -1 , weight of fruit, yield hectare , Vitamin-C content and TSS% content. A statistically significant variation was recorded in terms of all the characters related to growth and yield quality of tomato. The maximum plant height, number of branches plant -1 , length of branch respectively 103.03 cm at 90 DAT, 65.70 at 90 DAT, 13.11 at 90 DAT was observed in treatment of T 7 (IBA 5ppm+GA 5ppm+Zn). The minimum plant height, number of branches plant -1 3 , length of branch respectively 85.24 cm at 90 DAT, 47.88 at 90 DAT, 10.33 at 90 DAT was observed in treatment of T (control). The maximum number flowers cluste plant -1 0 20 at 90 DAT in treatment both T 7 (IBA 5ppm+GA 5ppm+Zn) and T 4 (IBA 5ppm+GA 3 5ppm) and number of fruit plant -1 3 160 at 90 DAT was observed by treatment of T 7 (IBA 5ppm+GA 5ppm+Zn). The minimum number flowers cluster plant -1 3 8.89 at 90 DAT in treatment both T 0 (control) and number of fruit plant 60.00 at 90 DAT was observed by treatment of T (control). The maximum yield of fruits hectare -1 0 (100 tones) was obtained from treatment of T (IBA 5ppm+GA 3 5ppm+Zn). The lowest yield of fruits hectare -1 (58 tones) was obtained from treatment of T (Zn). 3 7 -1 -1 -1Item STUDY OF GROWTH CHARACTERISTICS AND YIELD ATTRIBUTES OF INDIGENOUS AND HIGH YIELDING VARIETIES OF RICE IN AMAN SEASON(DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURAL BOTANY, SHER-E-BANGLA AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY, DHAKA-1207, 2017-12) ISLAM, ARIFULThe experiment was conducted at the research field of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka,Bangladesh during the period from July to December 2017, to study the growth, development and yield of some local and high yielding rice varieties during aman season. Ten rice varieties were used as treatments; among them seven were local varieties (Kanchancni, Chinisagar, Sunashail, Ranjay, Lohadang, Haldijan, Kohabinni) and three were high yielding varieties (HYV) (BRRI dhan46, BR11 and BRRI dhan51).The experiment was laid out in a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with four replications. There were significant difference among the data obtained from different growth, developmental and yield characters. At 25 and at 50 days after transplanting the highest plant height (62.21cm and 105.57cm respectively) was observed in Kanchancni. Highest plant height at 75 DAT (134.15cm) and at harvest (139.03cm) was found in Lohadang. Highest number of leaves hill 1 at 25 days after transplanting (26.00) was found in BRRI dhan46, at 50 DAT (56.67) and at 75 DAT (60.67) was found in Kohabinni, at harvest (34.87) in Ranjay . Highest number of tillers hill -1 at 25 DAT (6.67) was found in Ranjay, Haldijan, BRRI dhan46 respectively, at 50 DAT (16.33) was found highest in BRRI dhan46, at 75 DAT (11.64) was found highest in Sunashail, at harvest (25.00) was found highest in Kanchancni. Highest number of effective tiller (15.33) was found in BRRI dhan51, number of ineffective tiller (5.67) was found in Kanchancni and highest (17.67) total tiller was found in BRRI dhan51. Highest crop growth rate (54.86 g cm -2 day -1 ) and absolute grain growth rate (1.85 mg grain -1 day ) was found in Sunashail. Highest flag leaf area (56.20 m 2 ) was found in Lohadang. Pancle length (30.33 cm) was found highest in Haldijan, filled grain panicle -1 (113.67) was found highest in BRRI dhan46, unfilled grain panicle -1 (23.00) was found highest in Chinisagar, seed size (28.02 mg) was found highest in Haldijan, grain yield (3.62 tha -1 ) was found highest in BRRI dhan46, straw yield (4.17 tha -1 ) was found highest in Chinisagar, total biological yield (6.23 tha ) was found highest in Chinisagar, harvest index (59.73) was found highest in BRRI dhan46. Panicles hill -1 and filled grains panicle -1 mainly contributed to the higher grain yield of the high yielding varieties over the inbred. -1 -1 -Item TILLERING BEHAVIOUR, GRAIN STERILITY AND YIELD OF HYV RICE VARIETIES AS INFLUENCED BY SEEDLING AGE(DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURAL BOTANY, SHER-E-BANGLA AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY, DHAKA-1207, 2017-12) NADIM, A. K. M. SAIFULLAHThe experiment was conducted at the research field of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka from December, 2017 to April 2018 to study the tillering behavior, grain sterility and yield of HYV rice varieties as influenced by seedling age. The experiment comprised of two factors: Factor A: Rice variety (4 varieties) e.g., V 1 = BRRI hybrid dhan3, V 2 = Hera 4, V 3 = Moina, V 4 = BRRI dhan28 (inbred) and Factor B: Seedling age (3 levels) e.g., A 1 = Tansplanting of 25 days old seedlings; A 2 = Tansplanting of 35 days old seedlings and A 3 = Tansplanting of 45 days old seedlings. The two factors experiment was laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications. Data on different growth characters, yield components and yield were recorded. Statistically significant differences were observed for different treatments and their combined effect. Considering all the varieties and seedling age, the tallest plant (113.15 cm) was recorded from the combination of V 1 A 2 and the shortest plant (97.80 cm) was recorded from the V 4 . The maximum number of tillers hill -1 (17.07) was found from the combination of V 1 A 2 , whereas the minimum number (11.23) was observed from the combination of V 4 A 3 . The highest days to maturity (118.00) was recorded from the combination of V 3 A 1 , whereas the lowest (103.93 days) from V 2 . The maximum number of total tillers hill -1 (17.20) was recorded from the combination of V 1 A 1 , whereas the minimum number (10.87) from V 4 . The longest panicle (25.59 cm) was recorded from the combination of V 1 , whereas the shortest panicle (17.99 cm) from V 4 A 3 . The highest grain sterility (13.46%) was observed from the combination of V 4 A 3 , whereas the lowest (4.38%) was recorded from the combination of V 1 A 2 . The highest weight of 1000 grains (20.35 g) was recorded from the combination of V 1 A 2 , whereas the lowest weight (16.25 g) from V 3 A 3 . The highest grain yield (6.81 t ha -1 ) was recorded from the combination of V 1 A 2 , whereas the lowest grain yield (3.21 t ha ) from V 4 A 3 . The highest straw yield (7.75 t ha -1 ) was recorded from the combination of V 3 A 2 , whereas the lowest straw yield (4.92 t ha -1 ) was found from V 4 . From the above results it can be concluded that BRRI hybrid dhan3 provided best yield contributing characters and yield with 35 days old seedlings. A 2 A 3 A 2 A 3 -1 A 1Item MORPHO-PHYSIOLOGICAL ATTRIBUTES AND YIELD PERFORMANCE OF DIFFERENT AROMATIC RICE GENOTYPES(DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURAL BOTANY, SHER-E-BANGLA AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY, DHAKA-1207, 2017-12) PERVIN, REZUANAAn experiment was carried out at the research field of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka during the period from July 2017 -December 2017, to study the morpho-physiological attributes and yield performance of different aromatic rice genotypes and to identify the important morpho-physiological and yield contributing characteristics which might contribute in higher yield. Twelve rice varieties were used as treatments. The experiment was laid out in a Randomized complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications. Data on different morpho-physiological parameters and yield with yield contributing characters were recorded. The collected data were statistically analyzed for evaluation of the treatment effect. Results signified that the highest number of total tillers hill -1 , dry weight hill -1 , crop growth rate , absolute growth rate, flag leaf area, SPAD value of flag leaf , number of effective tiller plant number of ineffective tiller of unfilled grains panicle biological yield (9.4 ton ha variety, V 11 (5.48 ton ha -1 -1 , panicle length, number of filled grains panicle , grain yield (3.30 ton ha -1 -1 -1 -1 , number ), straw yield (6.10 ton ha ) and harvest index (35.11%) were recorded from the (BRRI dhan37). The lowest number of effective tiller, -1 , number of grains panicle ), biological yield (5.34 ton ha (26.59%) were observed from the variety, V6 (Modhumala). -1 -1 , grain yield (1.42 ton ha ) and lowest harvest index , ), -Item GROWTH AND YIELD PERFORMANCE OF INBRED AND HYBRID RICE VARIETIES IN AEROBIC CONDITION(DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURAL BOTANY, SHER-E-BANGLA AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY, DHAKA-1207, 2017-12) AKTER, SHAHANAZThe experiment was conducted in the research field of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka from November, 2017 to May, 2018 to study growth and yield performance of inbred and hybrid rice varieties in aerobic condition season. Total 10 inbred and hybrid rice varieties were used in this experiment and they were BRRI hybrid dhan2, BRRI hybrid dhan3, BRRI dhan28, BRRI dhan29, Binadhan 8, Binadhan 10, Tia, Moyna, Nobin and Heera 2. The single factor experiment was laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications. Data were recorded on different yield attributes and yield and statistically significant variation was observed for different rice varieties. The tallest plant (109.65 cm) and maximum number of tillers hill -1 (15.70) was observed in BRRI hybrid dhan3, whereas the shortest plant (91.19 cm) and minimum number of tillers hill (9.67) was recorded in BRRI dhan28. At 30, 50 and 70 DAT (days after transplanting), the largest leaf area (36.48, 45.67 and 49.84 cm 2 ) and total dry matter m (177.05, 546.13 and 875.16 g) was recorded in BRRI hybrid dhan3, whereas the smallest leaf area (25.53, 32.33 and 37.50 cm 2 ) and lowest total dry matter m (117.84, 347.43 and 752.66 g) was observed in BRRI dhan28. At 30-50 DAT, the highest CGR (18.45 g m -2 day -1 ) was recorded from BRRI hybrid dhan3, whereas the lowest CGR (10.84 g m -2 day -1 ) from Nobin. At 50-70 DAT, the highest CGR (16.45 g m -2 day -1 ) was recorded from BRRI hybrid dhan3, while the lowest CGR (9.32 g m -2 day -1 ) from Heera 2. At 30-50 DAT, the highest NAR (7.85 g m -2 day -1 ) was recorded from BRRI hybrid dhan3, whereas the lowest NAR (5.10 g m -2 day -1 ) from Nobin. At 50-70 DAT, the highest NAR (2.76 g m ) was recorded from Tia, while the lowest NAR (1.60 g m -2 day -1 ) from Heera 2. The maximum number of effective tillers hill -1 (12.33), was recorded in BRRI hybrid dhan3, while the minimum number (6.13) was found in BRRI dhan28. The highest spikelets fertility (93.82%) was recorded in BRRI hybrid dhan3, whereas the lowest (82.35%) in BRRI dhan28. The highest grain yield (5.17 t ha ) and highest straw yield (5.89 t ha -1 ) was recorded in BRRI hybrid dhan3, while the lowest grain yield (2.48 t ha -1 ) and lowest straw yield (3.72 t ha -1 ) was found in BRRI dhan28. Above finding revealed that the BRRI hybrid dhan3 was superior from other in relation to crop growth characters, yield contributing characters and yield of rice. -1 -2 -2 -2 day -1 -1Item EVALUATION OF MORPHO-PHYSIOLOGICAL ATTRIBUTES AND YIELD OF TRADITIONAL AROMATIC RICE CULTIVARS IN AMAN SEASON(DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURAL BOTANY, SHER-E-BANGLA AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY, DHAKA -1207, 2017-12) HASSAN, S. M. ANAMULThe experiment was conducted at the Agronomy field of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka during July to December, 2017 in Aman season to investigate the morpho-physiological attributes and yield performance of nine traditional aromatic rice cultivars. The experiment comprised of one factor viz. Kalizira, Begun Bichi, Chinigura, Chiniatop-1, Sada Sonne, Khoi Sonne, Kataribhog, Badshabhog and Dulabhog (BR 5). The experiment was laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with four replications. Significant variation was found on morphological, physiological, yield and yield contributing parameters in the traditional aromatic rice cultivars. The lowest grain yield (1.29 t ha -1 ) was obtained from Chiniatop-1. The highest leaves hill -1 (56.23) was recorded from Khoi Sonne. The lowest leaves hill (38.3) was obtained from Kataribhog. Maximum leaf area index of 6.03 was recorded in cultivar Chinigura followed by, Badshabhog (5.33) and Sada Sonne (5.01) and minimum of 3.64 was recorded with Kalizira at 60 DAT. At 45 DAT maximum LAR (116.75 cm 2 g -1 ) was recorded in Begun Bichi and minimum LAR (72.35 cm 2 g -1 ) in Chiniatop-1. Highest CGR of 28.23 g m day -1 was recorded by Dulabhog and minimum CGR was recorded in the variety Kalizira (21.02 g m -2 day -1 ). Badshabhog produced the second highest grain panicle -1 (156.30). Sada Sonne produced the lowest number of grains panicle -1 (53.63). Significant influence of different varieties was observed on 1000-grain weight. The highest 1000 grain weight (17.66 g) was recorded in Khoi Sonne. The lowest 1000 seed weight (9.23 g) was observed in Kalizira. Among the tested nine varieties Chinigura showed the highest grain yield (2.80 t ha -1 ) and the second highest grain yield in Begun Bichi (2.43 t ha ). While the lowest grain yield (1.29 tha -1 ) was obtained from Chiniatop-1. The Kataribhog showed the highest harvest index (41.49%). On the other hand, the lowest harvest index (28.94%) was obtained from Khoi Sonne. -1 -1 -2
