Item Evaluation of an Algorithm that Minimizes the Maximum Congestion Ratio of a Network in OSPF Routing(East West University, 5/14/2015) Rahman, ShoiebIn Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) routing protocol, all the packets are transmitted over the shortest path. And these path is determined by the weight associated with each link in the network. According to OSPF the link with minimum weight will transmit most of the packet. For this, at a moment the link exceeds its maximum capacity, thus congestion occurs. This problem can be avoided by applying an optimal set of link weight. To solve this OSPF weight setting problem several iterative methods have been used.In this paper, we have evaluated an algorithm proposed by Kamrul and Oki [1] to solve this problem. And we found that the computational result leads us to minimize the maximum network congestion.Item Nameplate Text Detector using Android Application(East West University, 5/14/2015) Sarkar, SiddharthaNameplate Text Detector using Android Application” based on Android platform. It premises is to make our daily life easy. With this application anyone can track to his/her vehicle from any complain on the other hand a traffic surgeon or traffic police can easily update the complaint. This report provides detailed description on how I created the application and also how I eased the process of android development while creating the application. A vehicle registration plate, or license plate, is attached to vehicles for official identification purposes. The identifier, often numerical or alphanumerical, can be used for uniquely identifying a vehicle within the issuing regions database. There are numerous reasons why it is necessary for individuals or organizations to identify a vehicle and thus its owner. Examples include law/police enforcement, traffic control, and access to restricted areas, electronic toll collection or checking parking permissions purposes. In some of the applications like traffic law enforcement, road monitoring and expressway toll system, where license plate recognition is used, it is necessary to process a large number of vehicles in a short time. In daily life there is huge traffic on roads, in this scenario application has to do very fast processing. Otherwise, violators and criminals can escape. The detection of a single license plate and the recognition of its characters in a reliable way is an expensive task, since it relies on computation intensive algorithms. Dedicated systems have been developed for this purpose delivering the necessary computational power. Once a license plate has been recognized it needs to be submitted to an, often remote, IT system to match it against a database finally identifying the vehicle and possibly its driver. Then this information can be processed and used for dedicated purposes.Item BACHELOR” Android Based Helping Tool for Bachelor People(East West University, 5/12/2015) Khan, RayhanSocial network based services offer many advantages to the mobile user to connect more people known or unknown. Social networks affect our lives in many ways. Some may say that using social network is nothing but waste of time. People waste there valuable time by chatting and doing unnecessary things in social networks. But if we utilize this vast network for our betterment, some aspect life can be easier for us. Using social network vast amount of people can be connected. This is the motivation of every social network. Being empowered by the same motivation we tried to do something good for the bachelor community in our society. As currently there is no application or website to help or to provide services to them, we tried to help them a bit by our application. We tried to help them to manage their lifestyle by connecting them and tried to provide them a common platform where they can help each other in finding better housing facilities.Item Online Jobsite(East West University, 5/21/2015) Hasan, KamrulIn this project, we develop requirement analysis and design of an online job site. We have to develop this system for jobseeker and company. We believe this information management system will definitely help jobseeker and company to share information and work smoothly. We have analyzed the included necessary functions in our system. Abdul; Akter, MoriumFeature diagrams are widely used to model product line variant . Formal Verification of variant requirements has gained much interest in the software product line(SPL) community . However, there is a lack of precisely defined formal notation for representing and verifying such models. This report presents an approach to modeling and analyzing SPL variant feature by Logic Based and also First order logic. The logical representation provides a precise and rigorous formal interpretation of the feature diagrams. Logical expressions can be built by modeling variants and their dependencies by using propositional connectives. These expressions can then be validated by any suitable verification tool such as Alloy. A case study of two Feature Model (GPL & Hall Booking System) variant feature model is presented to illustrate the analysis and verification process.Item Service Oriented Product Line: Analysis and Verification(East West University, 5/15/2015) Taher, Yasir; Sarker, AmitIn computer science and software engineering, re-usability is the use of existing assets in some form within the software product development process. A software product line (SPL) is a set of software-intensive systems that share a common, managed set of features satisfying the specific needs of a particular market segment or mission and that are developed from a common set of core assets in a prescribed way. A service-oriented architecture is essentially a collection of services. These services communicate with each other. The communication can involve either simple data passing or it could involve two or more services coordinating some activity. Some means of connecting services to each other is needed. Web Service technology provides a platform on which we can develop distributed services. The interoperability among these services is achieved by various standard protocols. Web service composition originated from the necessity to achieve a predetermined goal that cannot be realized by a standalone service. Internally, in a composition, services can interact with each other to exchange parameters, for example a service's result could be another service's input parameter. We need verification of service composition to check whether there is any errors/deadlock in the composite service and are there any difficulties in the composite service? There are two types of service composition and we focused only on service choreography. To verify the service composition we used process algebraic technique, FPS. We model the service choreography in FSP and then use LTSA tool to animate the transitions and verify the composition.Item The Project Entitled "Blood Donor’s Diary" is an Application Based on Android Platform(East West University, 12/12/2014) Iqbal, Md.AsifBlood Donor’s Diary is an application based on Android platform. It premises is to make save life. With this application anyone can make his/her own collection of blood donor’s, Able to see donor’s address location on google map. This report provides detailed description on how I created the application and also how I eased the process of android development while creating the application. Android is the world's most popular operating system for mobile devices and tablets. It is an open source operating system, created by Google, and available to all kinds of developers with various expertise levels, ranging from rookie to professional. Android Inc was founded in Palo Alto of California, U.S. by Andy Rubin, Rich Miner, Nick Sears and Chris White in 2003. Later Android Inc. was acquired by Google in 2005. After original release there have been a number of updates in the original version of Android.Android has a large community of developers writing applications ("apps") that extends the functionality of the devices. Developers write primarily in a customized version of Java. As of July 2013, the Google Play store officially reached over 1 million apps published and over 50 billion downloads. Android apps can be downloaded from third-party sites or through online stores such as Android Market, the app store run by Google.Item Verification of SPL Feature Tree by Using Bayesian Network(East West University, 5/12/2015) Ferdous, Md. Javedul; Hossain, Md. DelwarProducts with new features need to be introduced on the market in a prompt step and organizations need to speed up their development process. Reuse has been suggested as a solution, but to achieve effective reuse within an organization a planned and preemptive effort must be used. Software Product lines are the most promising technique and it increases productivity and software quality and decreases time-to-market. In SPL, a feature tree shows various types of features and seizures the relationships among them. Bayesian Network is gaining much interest in Software Engineering, mainly in calculating software defects and software reliability. It can make notable consequence on feature analysis & its component. This thesis applies BN in modeling and analyzing features in a feature tree. Many feature analysis are modeled and verified in Bayesian Network. The verification of the rules define the analysis rules & its correctness. Finally a tool is used for reduced human error to make result more efficient & precise.Item Solving K-Set Partition Problem Using Genetic Algorithm(East West University, 12/11/2014) Ahmed, Md. Shohan; Nisha, Tarjia AlamIn this paper, we solved K-set partition problem with Genetic algorithm. K-set partition is a problem where we have to partition a given set of numbers into subsets such that their sums are as nearly equal as possible. In other hand, Genetic algorithm (GA) is a particular class of evolutionary algorithm that use techniques inspired by evolutionary biology such as inheritance, mutation, selection, and crossover.GA is implemented as a computer simulation in which a population of abstract representations (called chromosomes or the genotype or the genome) of candidate solutions (called individuals, creatures, or phenotypes) to an optimization problem evolves toward better solutions. We present a GA in conjunction with a specialized heuristic improvement operator for solving K-set partition problem. The performance of our algorithm is evaluated on some set of real-world problems. Computational results show that the genetic algorithm-based heuristic capable of producing high quality solutions.
