The students were different from each other, so I used different ways to teach them. I was always kind to the students and worked well with other teachers. When I had problems, I found ways to solve them. I learned many useful things from this experience. These lessons will help me become a better teacher in the future. I also shared some ideas to make learning easier and better for students.

    Design and Fabrication of Pneumatic Gripper for Robotic Manipulation

    To reduce labor costs and to ensure consistent quality control of the process, robotics has been familiar in industry to replace humans in demanding and repetitive tasks. In factory automation and industrial manufacturing, abstract material handling and pick and place mechanism are widely used methods and based on applications, different motor technologies have been designed and employed. High speed and reliability and low robot gripper costs are necessary for a worthwhile pick and place process. For positioning and orientation of objects, robotic manipulation is essential as gripper helps in gripping, sucking, lifting, placing and releasing. Therefore, design and fabrication of suction cup and pneumatic mechanism is a promising approach for pick and place material with flat surface. However, current grippers are not able to handle products properly because they have uneven shapes, are flexible and irregular, have different textures and are very penetrating to damage. The main aim of work is to design the gripper mechanism and vacuum suction mechanism working in single and multiple pick and place operations. In this research work, both designed and development of pneumatic gripper has been done using 3D printing technology and the vacuum mechanism is created by means of vacuum pump, pipe and control valve. Experiments validate that the designed gripper was highly effective in terms of accurate picking and placing and shows encouraging results include effective picking in smooth as well as rough surfaces. Further pneumatic grippers of varied thicknesses were compared with conventional suction cups for evaluating overall effectiveness and efficiency of the designed gripper. The force for the gripper and working of the vacuum suction are checked and observed for loads at various pressures.

    Effective Implementation of Variable Message Sign (VMS) in Dhaka City

    Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, is the one of the most densely populated city of the world. Bangladesh being one of the third world countries has a high economic growth rate and Dhaka being the capital of the country has a continuously increasing rate of business & commercial activities. The present transportation system being designed decades ago can’t cope with the higher mobilizing activities. Besides, with the increasing rate of accidents traffic safety has become an important factor. So, new technology with new designs craved an important position in the integrated transportation system which should be introduced to cope up with this new situation. Variable Message Signs, a way of informing drivers about road conditions and a potential safety measures has already got popularity in different countries like U.S.A, UK, Canada, Japan, Germany, Malaysia, Sweden and other developed countries of the world. Extensive research regarding VMS has been carried out all over the world. Few VMS have been also noticed across the road of Dhaka city with faulty way of installation, erroneous message, poor management and less capability to attract drivers. From our investigation it was found out that no research activities regarding VMS have been carried out during or after installation of VMS. So, we feel the urge to research for the implementation of VMS effectively by finding out the difference in perception among different survey groups with proper reasoning and recommending our findings to the stakeholders and further research works on this topic. However, key stakeholder groups were surveyed with some limitations due to illiteracy, unwillingness and misconceptions of the survey groups. ANOVA method was followed by successful eliminations of these errors during the statistical analysis and inter and intra group differences were found out on the basis of personal interview and interactions with the survey groups. Recommendations on the basis of major key findings were done to the stakeholders and for further research activities on VMS. The study in total, focuses on the differences of perceptions of different survey groups, reasons for the differences to find out an effective way of implementing VMS as an integral part of transportation system in cities like Dhaka.

    Using the decade old election system to collect votes from the citizens is no longer considered efficient due to the various recurring errors. So time has arrived that the paper based primordial voting system which has already proven itself an inefficient and slow procedure is changed immediately. The system that is being followed currently, from data collection procedure to counting of the votes is a manual process. Here we are proposing an automated electronic voting system. It starts with automated registration system that will provide the secured database of the voters’ information. Voter details will be stored against their finger prints in the main database. The election commission authority is authorized to access the details but they aren’t authorized for modifying or changing the details. Modification of the voters’ information requires the fingerprint of the particular voter. So the system will help to minimize the corruption done by others, and hopefully corruption may be diminished at some point of time. In this system Voter will select his/her preferable candidate by providing his or her opinion on a touch screen where all candidates’ voting sign is displayed. Four layered network system will be used here for sending the votes from client to the main database there are three application server, and a client. Among them one application server will work as dispatcher. The encrypted votes will be sent from the client to the dispatcher through an application server and this layer will send those votes to main database through another application server. They will be counted there automatically which will take lesser time than the manual system. So the result will be faster, more accurate and reliable.

    Federated Learning Based Lung Cancer Classification

    In this paper, an interpretable and privacy-preserving lung cancer classification framework based on federated learning (FL) combined with Explainable AI (XAI) approaches is proposed. The system comprises of CNN, LeNet5, AlexNet, ResNet50 deep learning model that have been trained using IQ-OTH/NCCD CT scan images to detect lung abnormalities to be malignant, benign, and normal. In this research centralized and federated training scheme were used. Three aggregation algorithms are also applied for federated learning based on FedAvg, FedProx and FedADMM, on both IID and non-IID permutations of the dataset. We show that ResNet50 with FedProx performed best in these cases: it exhibits high global accuracy in non-IID setups while maintaining high privacy of data. Visual explanations were generated using Grad-CAM to improve the interpretability and clinical confidence in the AI predictions. A web application was included that is built on top of Django, which allows clinicians to provide CT scan and get the corresponding classification output as well as to see the interpretation maps calculating heatmaps. Standardization The system complies with ISO/IEC 25010 for software quality and carries the data through HTTPS, and later it is prepared for integration with the HL7 FHIR. Despite computational and data limitations, the work successfully proved that the integration of federated deep learning and explain ability is practical for secure, accurate, and transparent diagnostic tasks in medicine.     HealthBlock: A Secured Healthcare System Using Blockchain

    Blockchain technology enables a distributed and decentralized environment with no more central authority. To increase the accuracy of electronic healthcare records (EHRs) and establish a secured patient-centric approach, Blockchain can be a smart solution in this case. Blockchain is a distributed ledger technology that allows for the secured transfer of medical records while a transaction is created in the network. As Blockchain is decentralized and transparent if one user tampers with medical records of transactions, all other nodes/participants would cross-reference each other and easily pinpoint the node/participants with the wrong information. In this paper, we proposed a smart contact-based Blockchain technology and implemented it in the Hyperledger framework to make the healthcare system more confidential and secure. Moreover, Smart contracts give us more security while transacting data and reduce the entire transaction cost, and also make faster transaction speed.

    Implementation of Machine Learning to Detect Hate Speech in Bangla Language

    Hate speech is a crime in all countries. Hate speech can be for women, religions, countries, cultures. The big problem for hate speech is that it entices the evil people. Moreover, it inspires them to spread hatred in the society. Bangla is one of the topmost spoken languages in the world. But hate speech detection in Bangla language is rare. Our purpose is to detect hate speech in Bangla language. To perform the task, we were in need of the Bangla datasets. But the Bangla dataset is not available. So, we have collected data from Facebook. Collecting data from the social site is very hectic. The data contain mixed languages, grammatical mistakes. So, we made a team to collect the data. Another team was to process the data. And finally, we labeled the data as hate speech or not. The team members had enough knowledge about hate speech. They were neutral towards the data. Our data contain hate speech against women, community, culture, ethnicity, race, sex, disability. Machine Learning approach is ideal for our work. We have used the SVM and Naïve Bayes algorithm for our work and got a maximum accuracy of 72%.

    Salinity negatively correlates with the production and immunity of chicken: A molecular insight for food security and safety issues

    Salinity intrusion into the freshwater system due to climate change and anthropogenic activities is a growing global concern, which has made humans and domesticated animals more susceptible to diseases, resulting in less productivity. However, the effects of salinity on domesticated and wild birds, especially in terms of production and immunity, have not been fully elucidated yet. Therefore, this study was designed to examine the effects of salinity on the production and immunity of birds and the mechanisms by which immunity is compromised. Broiler chicks were subjected to different concentrations of salty water (control = normal water, treatment = 5 g/L, treatment = 10 g/L, and treatment = 15 g/L). The collected blood and organs from different groups of broilers were biochemically and histopathologically examined. Birds in salt-treated groups consumed significantly less feed than the control group, while the feed conversion ratio (FCR) was significantly higher. Body weight gain was significantly lower in salt-treated groups compared to control. Serum analysis revealed a lower systemic antibody titer in the salt-treated groups compared to the control. Primary lymphoid organs (thymus and bursa of Fabricius) were reduced in size in the salt-treated group due to cellular migration and depletion from these organs. Importantly, most of the parenchyma of lymphoid organs was replaced with fibrotic tissue. Gut microbes, Escherichia coli (E. coli) and Salmonella spp., from salt-treated groups, showed less viability but developed antibiotic resistance. Levels of salinity were significantly and negatively correlated with feed intake, body weight gain, antibody titer, lymphoid organ size, and viable count of gut microbes, while FCR, fibrosis of lymphoid organs, and antibiotic resistance were significant positively correlated. In conclusion, increased salinity is a possible threat to food security and safety as it decreases body weight gain, reduces immunity, and influences the development of multi-drug resistance in gut microbes.

    Utilization of Eggshell Powder as a Partial Replacement of Fine Aggregate

    As urban areas continue to expand, pursuing a better quality of life has led to increased environmental pollution. Currently, the world generates approximately 2.01 billion tons of municipal solid waste annually, with Bangladesh contributing around 25 thousand tons, posing significant environmental and health risks. Concurrently, the construction of new buildings, which heavily rely on materials like cement, is rising. However, the high cost and scarcity of quality cement, compounded by the detrimental effects of certain additives like ammonia, calcium nitrate, and silicates, present challenges. Eggshells, a readily available waste product from biscuit and bread factories, primarily contain calcium carbonate. This study explores the potential of using eggshell powder as a partial replacement for fine aggregate. By incorporating eggshell powder in varying proportions (0%, 3%, 9%, 15%), and conducting sieve analysis, Splitting tensile strength, and compressive tests, the research demonstrates that a 9% eggshell powder mixture can effectively replace fine aggregate. This approach not only mitigates waste but also offers a cost-effective solution.

    Working Process of Telecommunication Networking of Bangladesh Telecommunication Company Ltd. (BTCL)

    To complete the BSc undergraduate program we need to do a minimum of three months internship from any reputed institute to successfully complete the internship work. My internship is a four (04) month program. During these four months I have been able to gain valuable experience and knowledge of my life I am very lucky that I was able to do an internship at Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Ltd. (BTCL). This internship has tried to highlight the structure and design of Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Ltd. (BTCL). This Phase 1 and Phase 2 internship programs of these two courses have helped me a lot to know about telecommunication companies. Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Ltd. (BTCL) provides basic telecommunication services in our country. The telecommunication industry is rapidly advancing our country and it is undoubtedly a fast developing industry Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Ltd. (BTCL) has about 1 million telephone subscribers across the country Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Ltd. (BTCL) has contributed a lot to our country's GDP, has and will bring hope in the future. The Telephone Board was established as a Bangladesh Telegraph and Telephone Board (BTTB) company in 1971 and was renamed Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Ltd. (BTCL) in 2008 after Bangladesh Telegraph and Telephone Board (BTTB) was transformed into a public limited company. The current Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Ltd. (BTCL) has an estimated value of Rs 150 billion. BTCL not only provides telephone service, BTCL has eight (8) licenses. Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Ltd. (BTCL) has copper cabling, microwave, satellite link, optical fiber network etc. BTCL has 33000 capacity broadband internet service. At present, BTCL has been able to gain recognition as a huge telecommunication company in our country. The main purpose of this report is to review the structure and systems of Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Ltd. (BTCL) and evaluate the design of the company and I have tried to do that. I have collected the data of this internship report through personal observations and interviews and also through the websites of some information agencies.
