    A case study on Giardiasis in eight months old Persian cat

    This study discussed about the clinical management of Giardiasis in cat. An eight-month-old Persian cat having body weight 4.10kg was presented to Teaching and Training Pet Hospital and Research Center, CVASU, Purbachal, Dhaka, Bangladesh, on August 07, 2022. With a history of chronic intermittent diarrhea and fatty stool, weight loss, reduce appetite, and hair fall. Clinical examination revealed the body temperature was 102.5˚F, and laboratory diagnosis was done by direct smear and commercial Giardiasis Kit Test. There were no internal parasites and any eggs and Kit test became positive within 5 minutes. Depending upon the history, clinical and laboratory examination the case was diagnosed as Giardiasis and accordingly therapy was given. As medication Metronidazole @ 20mg/kg B.W (Syp. Filmet @ 0.5 ml/kg B.W.) orally twice daily for 7 days, Fenbendazole @ 40mg/kg B.W. (Liq. Fenazol vet 1ml/5kg B.W. orally twice daily for 7 days ORS/Rice saline (50 ml/kg B.W) 200ml daily for 7 days, feeding had been withheld for 12 hours and for hair fall use Vitamin B complex and Zinc (Syp. Bicozin 1.5 ml/4 kg B.W.) daily twice for three weeks, Cap. OMG-3 1drops/kg B. W. mixed with the feed and orally administrate daily twice 15 days and Dancel shampoo bath once a week for three weeks has been suggested. Animal had responded to the treatment and there was an uneventful recovery within 7 days.

    Comparative Experimental Analysis with and without Proposed Algorithm for MPPT using a DC-DC Converter for PV Array

    Solar Photovoltaic (PV) array is an enormous source of green energy generation. Low efficiency and high cost is the great challenge of the solar systems. Various power electronic converter and algorithms are design to mitigate this challenge, Perturb and Observe (P&O) algorithm is one of them. In this paper a proposed algorithm is implemented through DC-DC converter. This proposed algorithm allows the PV array to work at its highest efficiency. Results from experiments show that the proposed MPPT algorithm improves overall system efficiency which is 89.37% higher compared to non MPPT system. To maximize the efficiency of the PV panel from zero to the maximum output, the entire range of the duty cycle needs to be used for the implementation of the proposed MPPT algorithm. In addition to this, a microcontroller based control system has been used in this work.

    CORBA Based Distributed Framework for GPGPU processing

    We present a CORBA based distributed system that implemented to execute CUDA program from a remote GPU enable machine. CPU is unable to execute that program. So, we introduced CORBA based distributed system to provide the services so that CPU users can get the facilities of GPU based system. Where CPU users will act as client and GPU based system will act as server. Clients can request to the server to use its’ GPU based system which is costly setup for users.

    The study was conducted to compared analyzed nutrient contents of kitten foods to the guaranteed analyses on packages. We collected three types of kitten foods and explored variation in chemical content of different types kitten foods available in the study area Uttara, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Chemical analyses of the sample were carried out in the triplicate for Moisture, Dry matter, Crude protein, Crude fiber, Ether extract and Total ash in the Animal Nutrition Laboratory, Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Chattogram, Bangladesh. The analytical result indicates that moisture, dry matter, crude protein, crude fiber, ether extract and total ash content significantly differed (p<0.01) and no significant (p>0.05) from one sample to another. DM contend varied from 92.022% to 93.961%, CP contend varied from 31.17% to 35.02%, CF contend varied from 1.035% to 1.9455%, EE varied from 7.04% to 8.40%, TA contend varied 6.63% from to 9.05%.

    Development of In Vitro Regeneration Protocol for Sweet Pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) using Cotyledon as Explant

    Plant tissue culture techniques offer a promising avenue for the efficient propagation of sweet pepper (Capsicum annuum L.), a valuable crop with significant agricultural importance. An effective and repeatable in vitro plant regeneration protocol was developed for the CKN-1 (Lemon yellow) and CKN-8 (Red) genotypes of sweet pepper. Utilizing cotyledonary leaf and cotyledonary node explants, various concentrations and combinations of growth regulators were tested for shoot rejuvenation. For both explants, MS medium supplemented with 8 mg/L BAP, 0.02 mg/L NAA, and 0.5 mg/L IAA was found to be most effective for achieving high rates of response and shoot induction. Notably, cotyledonary node explants outperformed cotyledonary leaf explants, displaying a remarkable 80% response within 11-12 days. Additionally, the supplementation of 1 mg/L IBA with MS medium significantly improved root initiation, with cotyledonary node explants exhibiting the highest responsiveness at 83.77%. Throughout all stages, the genotype CKN-8 (Red) consistently outperformed CKN-1 (Lemon yellow), including in the percentage of regenerated plant establishment.     Effects of Triangular Core Rotation of a Hybrid Porous Core Terahertz Waveguide

    In this paper, we investigate the effects for rotating the triangular core air hole arrangements of a hybrid design porous core fiber. The triangular core has been rotated in anticlockwise direction to evaluate the impact on different waveguide properties. Effective Material Loss (EML), confinement loss, bending loss, dispersion characteristics and fraction of power flow are calculated to determine the impacts for rotating the triangular core. The porous fiber represented here has a hybrid design in the core area which includes circular rings with central triangular air hole arrangement. The cladding of the investigated fiber has a hexagonal array of air hole distribution. For optimum parameters the reported hybrid porous core fiber shows a flat EML of ±0.000416 cm-1 from 1.5 to 5 terahertz (THz) range and a near zero dispersion of 0.4±0.042 ps/THz/cm from 1.25 to 5.0 THz. Negligible confinement and bending losses are reported for this new type of hybrid porous core design. With improved concept of air hole distribution and exceptional waveguide properties, the reported porous core fiber can be considered as a vital forwarding step in this field of research.     Project-based Model in Physics Learning: The Influence on Computational Thinking Skills on the Eleventh-Grade Natural Science Major Students

    The low level of computational thinking skills of students is a problem of 21st-century skills. One of the efforts to support 21st-century education is by applying a Project-based learning model. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of a project-based learning model on the computational thinking skills of students in class XI IPA. The research was conducted at MA Al-Hikmah Bandar Lampung. The population in this study was XI IPA class with samples of XI IPA 1 (experimental class) and XI IPA (control class). Using saturated sampling technique with Quasi-Experimental Research design. The results of this study indicate that the t-test value with a significant level of 5% there is an effect of the project-based learning model on the computational thinking skills of students in class XI IPA with a sig value <0.05 which is equal to 0.000 then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Therefore, computational thinking skills can be used to solve problems in physics learning by applying indicators of decomposition, abstraction, algorithms, and generalization of patterns.
