    A review on potential COVID-19 vaccines

    A novel coronavirus unexpectedly erupted in Wuhan, China, in December 2019, triggering human to-human transmission. As a result, there was a massive outbreak of respiratory disease in that region and this coronavirus became a lethal pathogen within a brief amount of time, causing an epidemic and later becoming a global pandemic. The disease caused by the novel coronavirus is named as Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). There is no realistic therapy for permanently curing COVID-19 at this stage. However, various medicines demonstrate improved outcomes against the virus, but it is also suggested that this pandemic could be avoided by a potential vaccine. There are currently several ongoing initiatives for the production of a vaccine, with some of the candidates displaying encouraging results. ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 is the most promising candidate among them. Therefore, the primary goal of this research is to analyze the potential solutions and effects of the existing vaccine candidates and to highlight that the ultimate solution will be vaccine.

    This project is on “Clean Dhaka (A smart garbage management application)”. Garbage management is one of the biggest problems in Dhaka city. We can see the garbage everywhere in the city. Dustbin is not available for throwing the waste at specific place. It’s a matter of great that cleaner don’t know where is the garbage.To solve this problem our project “CLEAN DHAKA” (A smart garbage management application). Anyone with this application can easily able to send requests to the cleaner if the dustbins is full. This will make the cleaner very easy to know that which dustbin is full and if there is any garbage, as a result cleaner can quickly move the garbage to the specific place.

    Comparison of intellectual and professional service contract evaluation procedure : PPR-2008 Vs World Bank and ADB

    The PPR – 2008, WB guidelines and ADB Guidelines are basically prepared for the proper guidance of the procurement at the same time it also provide legal support and a restrictive boundary for the parties involved in procurement. This dissertation mainly deals with the comparison of these three guidelines regarding evaluation procedure of the Intellectual and Professional services contract. In the evaluation it covers EOI evaluation, Technical Evaluation, Financial Evaluation and Combined evaluation. It also mainly describes the QCBS method and other methods are not described in detail. This comparison is done by reviewing the three guidelines thoroughly and specific points are taken into account. In ADB Guidelines there is a provision of long listing while EOIs are being evaluated. After that a final short list is prepared. On the contrary in WB guidelines and in PPR – 2008 there is no provision for long listing. In case of ADB the participants must me of ADB member countries and not more than one firm from same country and the total number of the shortlisted firms should six. Similarly WB guidelines also suggest the total number is six but the difference is not more than two firms from the same country. However PPR – 2008 suggests that the number shortlisted firms should not be less than four and at the same time not more than seven. In case of technical evaluation it is mentioned in ADB guidelines that the total score should be 1000 and on the other hand this total score is 100 for WB guidelines and PPR – 2008. There are also some differences in the allocation of points although the calculation procedures of points or scores are same. In case of financial evaluation ADB point out about two things one is maximum contract budget and the other is estimated budget. If GEFP of consultants exceeds maximum contract budget then the financial proposal is not considered for evaluation on the other hand if GEFP exceeds the estimated budget then the proposal is not discarded and taken under consideration. ADB also evaluates financial proposals based on NEEPs. On the contrary WB guidelines and PPR – 2008 evaluate their proposal based on total offered price. The approving authority in ADB funded projects is ADB officials and for WB funded projects are WB officials. In both cases no objection certificate is to be collected by the procuring entity at every step for clearance. In case of PPR – 2008 the approving authority is HOPE or the delegated person depending upon the financial power. It is mentioned in PPR – 2008 that PPR will not be functional when development partners are involved and their guidelines will prevail in that case. And at last it can be said that the maximum guidance in the three guidelines are almost same and there are some minor difference in some specific cases and this similarity eventually helps the procuring entity to be accustomed easily with all the guidelines.

    Design and Implementation of Solar Power and an IoT-Based Pisciculture Management System

    Introduction: Pisciculture means fish farming for commercial purposes in a pond or in an artificially created fish tank. Proper care is needed for optimum fish yields. Aims: The present research aims to design, simulate, implement, and test a low-cost pisciculture monitoring system to get the environmental status of a fishing pond where aquatic plants and fishes reside. The objective of this work is to produce high-quality and high yields of fish in the pond keeping the standard or prescribed states of the pond water. Study Design: The factors that affect the pond environment are flow rate, pH level, oxygen level, temperature, humidity, etc. To get high yields of fish from a pond, these factors must be within a specified level. If the values of these parameters go below or above the prescribed level then the water loses its quality and thereby fishes find it very difficult to survive in that pond because each water quality factor affects the health conditions of fish. Therefore, it is necessary to monitor these parameters. Place and Duration of Study: Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Southeast University (SEU) between June 2021 and April 2022. Methodology: In this work, we have designed an automated microcontroller, IoT, and solar power-based water quality monitoring system for a fishpond. The automated system restores the values of these factors automatically when any of these factors fail to maintain their level in the pond. Results: After testing the prototype of the system, we found that the designed system is performing very well and showing different parameter values in the LCD screen as outputs. Conclusion: The system is in expensive and therefore, may be employed in practice.

And doctors are show in specialist wise. Every patient can select their needed specialist to get treatment. After get prescription patient can buy their medicine on this site which is online pharmacy. In the online pharmacy is a ecommerce site where a number of medicine posted in different categories and a patient can buy to the needed medicine.

    EVALUATION OF MAIZE HYBRID IN MULTI-LOCATIONAL TRIAL USING GGE BIPLOT AND AMMI MODEL

    This study was executed to assess the twenty-one single cross maize hybrids with three local checks (BHM-12, BHM-13 and BHM-14) in five locations of Bangladesh for its adaptability and stability and also to study the genotypes and environment interaction. Yield data of twenty-four maize hybrids was analyzed through the additive main effects and multiplicative interaction (AMMI) and GGE biplot methods. Considering the grain yield, bi~1 and S2 di~0 value, it was observed that G10 and G16 were the higher yielding and suitable across the environments. On the other hand, G20 and G14 were higher yielding but were responsive to favorable environments. Among the five locations, the environment of Hathazari was the poorest, whereas Barishal and Dinajpur were the most favorable environments for maize production. When hybrids were compared with ideal genotypes, it was observed that G14, G16, G10, and G20 were closed to the ideal genotypes so that they can be more desirable than other tested hybrids. The AMMI biplot indicated that G24, G16, G13, G17 and G14 were positioned adjacent to the biplot’s origin which indicated their stability in performance across environments. Finally, stability analysis with the help of GGE and AMMI statistics identified two hybrids G14 and G16 that could be used as reference for future crop improvement program.

    Incidence and management of dystocia of dairy cows in Manoharganj upazila of Cumilla district, Bangladesh

    Every year, thousands of cows and calves die during parturition for poor parturition managements, and insufficient veterinary services. A total of 83 cases of dystocia were the subject of a retrospective investigation between January 2021 and December 2023 to determine the incidence of dystocia in dairy cows in Manoharganj upazila of Cumilla district, Bangladesh. The study revealed that local breed cows had a higher prevalence of dystocia (53.01%) than cross-breed cows (46.99%). Also, younger cows had a higher incidence of dystocia (71.08%) than older cows. Primiparous heifers showed a higher incidence of dystocia (69.88%) than pluriparous cows (30.12%). In addition, compared with naturally inseminated cows (9.64%), artificially inseminated dairy cows had a higher dystocia rate (90.36%). The occurrence of dystocia was found to occur more frequently in fetal causes (65.06%) than in maternal causes (34.94%). Among maternal causes, incomplete cervix dilation was the most common (18.07%), while fetal head deviation was the most frequent fetal cause (27.71%). Fetal oversize, carpal flexion, shoulder flexion, fetal dropsy, twin calves, uterine torsion, and uterine inertia were other low-incidence causes of dystocia. The most common method of managing dystocia was manual correction (91.57%), followed by fetotomy (4.82%), and C-section (3.61%). After dystocia treatment, 96.25% of dams survived, and 3.75% of cases resulted in dam deaths; fetal death occurred in 32.5% of cases, while the fetal survival rate was 67.5%. Therefore, this study suggest that when using artificial insemination, it is best to consider the breed of the dam and sire.

    Machine Learning Approach to Predict Dengue Fever in Bangladesh

    Fever and has been reporting outbreaks of the disease, it still continues to remain an important public health concern of the new millennium with significant morbidity strains on the healthcare system. It is important for early detection and error-free prevention of the disease. The included subjects comprised a group of patients admitted to multiple various healthcare centers linked with medical records (i.e. clinical patient data (gender, age), hematological data and other conventional clinical indicators). The dataset had been pre-processed to treat missing values and outliers in data provided, scaled for model learning. The models that are used in this study is Random Forest, Logistic Regression, Decision Tree, Support Vector Machines (SVM), Neighbors (KNN) K-Nearest, GaussianNB, XGBoost Stacking Ensemble. The study results indicated that Random Forest achieved the highest accuracy (0.89), followed closely by XGBoost (0.87) and the Stacking Ensemble (0.88). Decision Tree and Support Vector Machines (SVM) demonstrated moderate performance with accuracies of 0.82 and 0.83, respectively. Logistic Regression performed fairly well at 0.79, while comparatively lower accuracies were observed for K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) at 0.76 and Gaussian Naïve Bayes (GaussianNB) at 0.74. The models were evaluated based on precision, recall, F1 score and confusion matrices where Random Forest and Logistic Regression performed the best in terms of minimizing false positives and false negatives. Finally, we have showed being useful machine learning models, in this specific Random Forest and Logistic Regression in the prediction of outbreaks of dengue. However, the results of this analysis suggest that the use of such models maybe beneficial for more efficient monitoring of surveillance, enhancing resource allocation and thus more timely interventions in controlling Dengue Fever in Bangladesh. Higher quality of real-time model parameter estimations with more types of input information may improve the reliability and support to decision makers.

    Modeling of the Women’s Reproductive Behavior and Predicted Probabilities of Contraceptive Use in Bangladesh

    Bangladesh is the most densely and is the 8th most populated country in the world. Over population or high density is one of the most important causes for both low and deteriorating living condition in Bangladesh Population is still growing. So, the situation is worsening with every passing year. Begging fully aware of the detritus effect of such rapid growths, the government, demographers, social workers, academicians, donor agencies and policy makers have declared population a problem of great importance and identified it as the number one problem in the agenda of governmental duties and functions. Like many other developing countries Bangladesh emphasizes the importance of contraceptive use for reducing fertility as a part of her overall strategy to bring down the growth rate of total population. Family planning programs work in order to achieve demographic targets through the reduction of fertility. Unfortunately, in our country there has always been a gap between target fertility and it’s getting at the terminal year of target period of all its plan period. Our country never gained either desired level of fertility (TFR) or contraceptive prevalence rate (CPR). The fifth Five-Year Plan (1998-2003), where target TFR and CPR respectively had 2.5 and 60%. Whereas, the achievement had been TFR 3.0 children per woman and CPR had been 58%. It was followed by the second Sector-Wide Approach, the Health, Nutrition and Population Sector Program, which began in 2003 and expired in June 2011, where target TFR and CPR respectively had 2.1 and 65%. Whereas, the achievement had been TFR 2.3 children per woman and CPR had been 61%. Additionally, the Health Population Nutrition Sector Development Program plans to reduce the TFR to 2.0 children per woman by 2016. To fulfillment such gaps there have raised questions about estimation equation used to project about CPR or contraceptive use effectiveness (UEC) in order to achieve TFR per woman at a desired level at the end of plan period or future. Thus in this study, an attempt has been made to assess the modeling of the women’s reproductive behavior and predicted probabilities of contraceptive use in Bangladesh using nationally representative data from Bangladesh Demographic and Health Survey (BDHS), 2011. To improve our clear understanding of the fertility change, we critically examine the effect of major proximate determinants on fertility and their changing effects for the period 1975 to 2011. During these periods decomposing Original Bongaarts Model (OBM) and Revised Bongaarts Model (RBM) assesses the individual contribution made by each of the four intermediate variables to change the fertility. The study also examines how well these determinants predict fertility levels of Bangladesh. Path model and binary logistic regression model have been used to find out the direct, indirect and combined (interaction) effects of the selected demographic, socio-economic factors on fertility. To achieve target fertility related with contraceptive prevalence rate (CPR) and contraceptive use effectiveness (UEC) four models viz., RBM and exponential regression model (ERM), polynomial regression model (PRM), linear regression model (LRM) have been applied. Revised Bongaarts model indicates that between 1989 and 2011, the amount of decrement of total fertility rate (TFR) was about 38.4%, about 42% between 1989 and 2007, 36% between 1989 and 2004, about 34% between 1989 and 1999-2000, 10% between 2004 and 2007; but the amount of increment of TFR was 6.6% between 2007 and 2011. The exogenous variables de-facto place of residence, current age of women, husband current age, education of women, wealth index have respectively 89%, 81%, 85%, 74%, 83% indirect effect on fertility. The endogenous variables women age at first marriage and women age at first birth have respectively 67% and 95%, other three endogenous variables sons who have died, women currently working and ever use contraception each has approximately 100% direct effect on fertility.

    One Axis Solar Panel Tracker

    Solar energy is becoming a very important way of renewable energy resources. Through solar tracking, this process can generate more energy due to the solar panels being able to maintain a longer profile in the sun's rays. Although the primary cost of setting up tracking systems is very high, there are also cheap options offered over time. This project discusses the design and construction of a prototype for a solar tracking system that has a freedom axis. Light dependent resistance (LDR) is used for sunlight detection. Control circuit is based on an ATMega328P microcontroller. It was programmed to detect sunlight through LDRs before actuating the servo to the position of the solar panels. Solar panels are placed where it is able to get maximum lighting. As compared to other motors, the servo motors are able to maintain their torque at high speed. They are also more efficient with efficiencies in the range of 80- 90%. Servos can supply roughly twice their rated torque for short periods. They are also quiet and do not vibrate or suffer resonance issues. The characteristics of performance and solar panels are specifically analyzed. One way to increase the efficiency of solar panels is to use tracking while spending costs. By tracking, the sun exposure will increase in the panel, so it will increase the power output. Trackers can be dual or single axis tracker. Dual trackers are more effective because they track sunlight From Both characters. One axis tracking system is used. It is cheaper, less complex and still achieves the necessary skills. The system is useful for the cost of using the system and the solar panel, the system is useful. The increase in electricity is sufficient and so small increase costs are increased. The cost of maintenance cannot be high.

Its services in doctor to patient or user to easily appointment systems and an important direction in the online appointment and real time fire-base including apps systems. There have been done many hospital in the doctor of online appointment and many of them have been successfully implemented in the real world. In this project, a model of real-time interactive doctor appointment has been proposed that provides real-time interactive appointment with the collaboration of doctor and user or patient under one roof. It allows some responsive and co-operative features that will help doctor and student to interact easily whether they are very far from each other. Online Doctor Appointment has been designed to focus on individual patient or user and doctor so that they can improve themselves. One of the main project goals is to provide the effective doctor and services system where the distances between doctor and patient or user can be reduced. Moreover, this makes easily to appointment patient to doctor, reduced time, minimize harassment and effectiveness of Online Doctor Appointment.

    Predicting effectiveness of marketing through analyzing emotional context in advertisement using deep learning

    In this modern age, marketing strategy is becoming a new challenge. Not only the global market but also people’s choices are shifting to catch the attention of buyers. Also, based on consumer’s choice organizations are bringing changes in their marketing policy to increase the chances of their product selling rate. Basically, to promote their products and grab buyer’s attention they are promoting advertisements on every media platform. But they are not aware of the effectiveness of marketing and which emotional states are needed more and which are not needed much. Therefore, we lead this study to recognize a successful advertisement and identify the rate of the emotional states which make good impact in people mind to purchase the product. Using deep learning and supervised machine learning algorithms as well as feature extraction methods for instance, LSTM-RNN, SVM, XGBOOST, Na¨ıve Bayes, Multiple Linear Regression, MFCC, Zero-Crossing Rate, Power Spectral Density, we find out and evaluate the rate of the emotional states to figure out the liking and purchase intent which makes an advertisement successful.

    Variations of axial and radial temperature inside the HLTP for microalgae cell growth

    The demand for microalgae-based biofuel has been attracted globally due to huge fuel demand and the global warming crisis. In this study, we simulated the axial and radial temperatures for microalgae cell growth. The computational domain is considered a horizontal loop tubular photobioreactor (HLTP) due to its high productivity. However, due to proper temperature variations, the growth is obtained as expected. We found that for proper cell growth, the standard temperature range is 293K–308K. From our simulation, we observed that the maximum temperature is near 312K through the axial direction and the maximum temperature is near 314K through the radial direction.
