The project reimagines the museum as an open, accessible, and socially engaging space that blends in perfectly with Dhaka's urban fabric, going beyond the notion of a contained institutional edifice. The museum endeavors to become a hub for education, social interaction, and community involvement in a place with public areas and cultural connections. The proposed architectural concept is envisioned as a dynamic journey of scientific exploration, guiding visitors through a series of interconnected zones dedicated to inquiry, experimentation, and innovation. The spatial layout, circulation patterns, and sensory transitions are intentionally crafted to reflect the stages of scientific investigation where curiosity initiates a process of discovery and insight. Prioritizing contextual sensitivity, ecological responsibility, and immersive design strategies, the project aims to create environments that are both instructive and engaging. The world is full of color and to enjoy this the Creator has provided us with two beautiful body organs. These organs are the most sensitive and precious body parts of a human being. In modern age, due to the regular different kinds of environmental pollution such as dust, radioactive rays etc. a human daily faces a lot of difficulties to maintain his or her precious vision. In Bangladesh, most people are unaware of eye related problems thus they are unable to detect eye related diseases in their initial state. When these diseases reach a critical state people start looking for proper treatments. But these treatments are very expensive and time consuming and often doctors are unable to heal them properly due to the late detection of the diseases. Out of these eye diseases one is highly hazardous as it attacks our brain fluid directly. With the help of machine learning and image processing this highly hazardous disease can be detected at its early stages. And early detection can help to minimize the effect on the human eye.Item Dietary Effect of Ginger and Sodium bicarbonate on growth performance and ruminal fluid of Sheep(Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University Chattogram-4225, Bangladesh, 2021-11) Akter, FarjanaThe study was conducted to compare the effect of ginger and sodium bi-carbonate on body weight and ruminal fluid condition of sheep. One year old twelve rams having average 12-15kg body weight were distributed into four treatments group with three replication and one ram per each replication in a completely randomized design. The sheep reared 2 months into research shed of Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University. They offered four different diets; Control (no sodium bicarbonate or ginger powder), T1(1.5 g ginger powder /kg diet), T2(1.5 g sodium bicarbonate powder /kg diet), and T3 (ginger powder 1.5 g + sodium bicarbonate powder 1.5 g/kg diet). Body weight was recorded every fifteen days interval through digital weigh scale. The rumen fluid collected through stomach tube after 1 hour of feeding at the morning after recording body weight of the sheep. Immediately after collection of rumen fluid, went to laboratory for measurement of pH, protozoa, protozoal motility, and other physical properties such as colour, odor, consistency of rumen fluid. Among three times collection of rumen fluid, the final pH was hightest in T0 group (control group) which was 5.65 and lowest pH in T3 group (combined diet group) which was 5.23 found. In four treatment group, the odor and consistency of rumen fluid were same which were slightly pungent and viscous in three times. Final colour of rumen fluid was olive green in all treatment group. In final collection of fluid, protozoa is hightest in T3 group (combined diet group) and lowest in T0 group (control group). In final weight, lowest body weight was 15.51 kg which found in T0 group and highest body weight was 19.69 kg which found in T1 group. After the analysis of result, we can clearly state that, the combination of sodium bicarbonate and ginger gives best result from other three treatments. The control group gives worst result in all parameters of ruminal fluid as well as growth performance. It was determined that feeding a mixture of 1.5 g/kg sodium bicarbonate and ginger diets will result in overall superior rumen function than providing 1.5 g/kg sodium bicarbonate or ginger diets separately.Item Diseases of Female Genital Organs of Hen(Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University Chattogram-4225, Bangladesh, 2021-06) Akter, FarjanaIn poultry, reproductive disorders are widespread, and the underlying reason is usually different than in other avian species. It is more common in backyard hens than commercial ones. Because backyard chickens typically live longer, are fed a better diet, and have more room than commercial hens, neoplasia, egg-related peritonitis, a persistent right oviduct, and old age are the most common causes of reproductive diseases. Other reproductive illnesses, such as vent trauma and calcium deficiency are infrequently detected. Common health problems in the poultry sector have a direct impact on egg production. Infectious diseases, which will be one of these issues, have a detrimental impact on the reproductive system by directly harming the animal's or animal's health and lowering egg quality. Bacterial and viral pathogens mostly affect the reproductive system, specifically the ovaries and oviduct. In fact, it is intended to underline the importance of disease diagnostic methods development, epidemiological knowledge, early stage illness diagnosis, and technical people being regularly trained with updated information on disease prevention based on scientific principles. Salmonella enterica infection can result in vertical transfer of germs via eggs. Understanding immunity in the reproductive tract is crucial in designing management measures for these infections for these reasons. Our understanding of the innate immune system in the hen's reproductive tract has substantially improved in recent years. Several viral infections that can harm the health of birds or cause reversible or irreversible lesions in the female reproductive organs wreak havoc on the egg industry. Viruses cause a temporary or permanent decline in egg production, as well as the generation of low-quality eggs, as a result of their detrimental impacts. MostafaGhaghat River flows through North West region of Bangladesh in Nilphamari, Rangpur and Gaibandha district. It is a distributary of Teesta River which originates at Jaldhaka in Nilphamari district. It carries flow from Teesta to Brahmaputra River thus it has a major influence during flood period. During monsoon, when water level of Ghaghat River at Gaibandha crossed the danger level, the floodplain of this river is inundated.At almost every year people of Gaibandha municipality experienced high magnitude flood which is the most devastating natural hazard of this region. The aim of this study is to develop a Hydrodynamic model for Ghaghat River basin area using HEC-RAS 1D/2D coupled model to prepare flood inundation mapping.Flood inundation mapping of Ghaghat River has been carried out to identify the flood affected area for this river basin. A HEC-RAS 1D model of Ghaghat River has been set up using bathymetry of 2013 and the discharge and water level hydrographsinupstream and downstream boundaries respectively. A HEC-RAS 1D/2D coupled model of Ghaghat river basinhas been set up for the same condition for flood mapping. HEC-RAS 1D model has been calibrated for 2013 (June to November) for the water level data at Gaibandha and validated for the period of 2015 (June to November) for same condition.Finally, a 1D-2D coupled model of Ghaghat River floodplain has been set up in HEC-RAS. This coupled model is calibrated and validated for Manning's roughness coefficient ‘n’ = 0.020for the year of 2013 and 2015 respectively.The values of R2 and NSE have been found 0.9596 and 0.956 for calibration and 0.9027 and 0.730 for validation respectively.The qualitative comparison hasbeen done among FFWC observed map, satellite image and simulated model.After calibration and validation of the 1D-2D coupled model, it has been simulated for the historical flood events of 2004, 2007, 2011, 2012 and 2017.The study area (total 1532 km2) consist of three districts where Nilphamari, Rangpur and Gaibandha covered13.81 km2, 951.75km2and 566.42 km2 respectively. This study proposed three scenarios for mitigating floods in the study area. The first scenario involved extending and increasing the height of the left and right embankments of the Ghaghat River from downstream. The second scenario involved dredging the cross-sections at the downstream and nearest one-third length of the river. The third scenario involved extending and raising the height of the embankment along with dredging the cross-section at the nearest one-third length of Ghaghat River.Approximately 19.27%area of the floodplain of the Ghaghat River has been affected by floodingfor 2004. By using system any people can enjoy their food with very low price compare to restaurant food. At a time they can taste the verity of foods too. On the other hand women’s at our home also can earn extra money by selling their home made food and be financially solvent. Not the women anyone who is passionate to cooking also earns money by cooking. The Home Made Food (Food Zone) Project industry plays a vital role in providing delectable culinary experiences for various events, ranging from corporate gatherings to social celebrations. This project aims to explore innovative approaches and strategies to enhance Home Made Food (Food Zone) Project services, ensuring an unforgettable gastronomic journey for clients and guests. This study focuses on three key areas. First, it investigates emerging trends and preferences in the catering industry, including the growing demand for diverse cuisines, personalized menus, and dietary considerations such as vegan, gluten-free, and organic options. By understanding these trends, caterers can tailor their services to meet the evolving needs and desires of their clients. Second, this project explores the implementation of state-of-the-art technology in Home Made Food (Food Zone) Project operations. From online platforms for streamlined booking and menu selection to innovative cooking techniques and equipment, technological advancements can revolutionize the way catering services are delivered. The project delves into the benefits of integrating digital solutions, automation, and smart appliances to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. Finally, the project emphasizes the significance of sustainable practices in the Home Made Food (Food Zone) Project industry. What Janata bank can do for interns for their betterment.Item HEAVY METAL POLLUTION IN WATER, SEDIMENT, AND FISH OF THE KAPTAI LAKE: ASSESSMENT OF CONCENTRATION, ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT AND HEALTH IMPLICATIONS(Faculty of Fisheries Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University Chattogram-4225, Bangladesh, 2024-06) Akter, FarjanaThe presence and concentration of heavy metals from water, sediment, and eight selected fish species from Kaptai Lake were investigated. The sampling sites were categorized as Tourist (Shubholong Waterfall, Julonto Bridge, and Buddha Mondir), Non-tourist (Borokoler much, Chilar dam, Hazari Bazar), and Market (BFDC Fish Market, Shubholong Market, Reserve Market). The study was conducted from July to December 2023, and sampling was carried out on July 2023. The concentration of heavy metals in water (mg/L) sediment (mg/kg) and eight fish species on a dry weight basis (mg/kg) of Kaptai Lake were determined by Atomic-absorption-spectrophotometer (AAS) (Model: AA-7000. SHIMADZU, Japan). Six heavy metals such as Arsenic (As), Cadmium (Cd), Chromium (Cr), Nickel (Ni), Lead (Pb) and Copper (Cu) in sediment, water, and fish species were investigated from Kaptai Lake. No significant variation (P>0.05) in heavy metal concentration was found among the sites in sediment and water samples. The decreasing trend of the mean concentration of metals was observed in water (mg/L) as Cu>Cr>Ni> Cd> Pb>As and in sediment (mg/kg) Cr >Ni >Cu> Pb >As >Cd. The Cu, Cd, and Pd levels in water samples exceeded the safe drinking water limits, indicating that water from this river was unsafe for drinking and cooking. While in sediment, the concentration of Ni (mg/kg) was higher than PEL, TEL TRV, and Cd (mg/kg), and Cr (mg/kg) was higher than TEL and TRV, indicating adverse biological effects on the Kaptai Lake. The sediment's pollution load index (PLI>1) stated the advanced decline in sediment quality. The sum of average metal concentrations (Σ6HM) followed the descending order of L. rohita (17.578) >G. chapra (15.031)> O.pabda (14.801) > L. calbasu (9.125)> P pangasius (7.616)>M. tengra (6.022)> S. aor (5.840), H.fossilis (5.55) mg/kg. Maximum allowable concentration was lower in all metals except Pb in eight species. A potential non-carcinogenic risk was indicated that the target hazard quotients (TTHQ) of all fish species exceeded the safe limit of 1.0. Furthermore, the target cancer risks (TR) of all metals were greater than the acceptable risk limit (10−4) in all fish species, indicating that their long-term consumption could potentially result in chronic cancer risk for adults.Item Smart Garbage Warning System(Daffodil International University, 2018-12) Korobi, Rumanna; Akter, Farjana; Shifat, Md. Main goal is of this project is to maintain a healthy environment in our country and all over the world and reduce human sufferings. Stack of junk are one of the significant issues looked by a great many people in country all over the world, particularly the individuals who live in flats, as the quantity of canisters is constrained and shared among all occupants. It might cause contaminations, which may prompt clean issues and illnesses. This venture introduces the improvement of a savvy refuse observing framework with the end goal to gauge squander level in the waste receptacle continuously and to caution the region, specific cases, through led signal. The proposed framework is comprised by the image capture to quantify the waste level, and an Arduino Uno which controls the framework task. This devours valuable time of the patient. Additionally, if the specialist crosses out his/her calendar, the patient does not come to know about it unless he/she goes to the center. Other than this, individuals living in significant urban areas have access to quality specialists yet have to struggle because of the absence of extra time and substantial congested road. However, individuals living in rural areas don't have legitimate medical support inside their range. To minimize the issue, we are attempting to build up an online system where patients can have quality medical administration from qualified specialists everywhere throughout the nation. Specialists will straightforwardly communicate with the patient through a chat server. Furthermore, the system will be a stage for new specialists. The specialist will come to know a number of patients he needs to consult on an entire day. Our system "Smart Patient System" will eliminate the receptionist’s paperwork. As pure water can save the earth, on the contrary contaminated water is like a slow poison. It is poisoning the whole world slowly. Our surface water is contaminating day by day and industrial effluents are presenting a major role in it. In our country it's more conspicuous. This effluent contains carcinogenic matter and causes cancer on the living body. So, this matter should be highly focused on and decreased as much as possible. Again, it can meet the water demand by recycling and reusing this water. Constructed wetland process of wastewater treatment uses natural plants to take up the pollutants and thus treat the wastewater naturally. This canal with wastewater effluents has a lot of plants like a wetland and hence water samples were collected along this canal to test the pollution parameters to check whether the level of pollution reduces along the flow. Besides all the testing procedures, parameters collected and tested from different spots, and the results have been thoroughly mentioned in this report.
