dc.description.abstractThe purpose of “University Device Management System” is to create a web based and user friendly system to maintain the devices used in university. The growing number of students in the university necessitates the increase in the number of faculty and staff to accommodate them. This increase in faculty/staff equates to more devices needed to facilitate the students learning, thus making the management of such devices more challenging. This project will help the authority to distribute devices to faculty/staff, classrooms and monitor those devices. Admin can add devices/classes and can activate, deactivate or cancel it staff or faculty persons’ account. It staff can assign device to faculty or classroom. It staff can approve or decline any request and generate report of all activities of faculty, can track owner of device, can update device information. Faculty can make request for new device or to replace or repair a device and can check the device status in classroom. To develop this system we used PHP and SQL for the back-end. And HTML, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript for front-end. After implementation of all functions, the system is tested multiple times and it works successfully as a prototype.
