Abstract

The experiment was conducted on ‘‘Savar star Bro” broiler chicks to evaluate the effect of exogenous enzymes and multivitamins supplementation on physical appearance, body weight andhemato-biochemical parameters. A total of day old 80 broiler chickswere randomly divided into four equal groups namely as A, B, C and D. Each group consists of 20 broiler chicks. Group A was considered as control and fed only with commercial ration. The other groups (B, C and D) were fed same as control group and also supplemented with 1 gm enzymes/ liter of drinking water, 0.5 gm multivitamins/ liter of drinking water and 1 gm enzymes +0.5 gm multivitamins/liter of drinking water, respectively from the day 14 to day 35 of experiment. The values of body weight and hemato-biochemical parameters were found more or less similar on pretreatment (day 14). But on the post treatment, the values body weight, TEC, Hb, PCV were increased significantly (p<0.01) with days of getting treatment in the group B, C, D. The hemoglobin values of groups A, B, C and D were found as 7.64 gm%, 8.38 gm%, 8.76 gm% and 9.08 gm% respectively on post treatment. The values of PCV in group A, B, C and D were 27.99 %, 30.24 %, 30.80 %, and 31.08 % respectively. The values of ESR of birds treated with 1 gm vitamin and 0.5 gm multivitamins were decreased significantly (p<0.01) in group D (1.50 mm in 1 st hour) and C (1.98 mm in 1 hour) compared to other groups A (2.40 mm in 1 st hour), B (2.29 mm in 1 st st hour) on post treatment. The values of SGOT (Serum glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase) of group D (2.56 U/L) decreased significantly (p<0.05) compared to other group A (3.41 U/L), B (3.30 U/L) and C (2.88 U/L) on the post treatment. The lowest values of SGPT(Serum Glutamic Pyruvate Transaminase) were observed (p<0.01) in the group D (4.42 U/L) than others group A (6.36 U/L), B (4.59 U/L) and C (4.57 U/L).Therefore, additionalenzymes and multivitamins may be used to get better performance like body weight and hemato-biochemical parameters of broiler chicken.
