Abstract

Graduate marketability has become an important issue as many graduates were found to have problems in getting employed after completing their study in the university. Due to the nature of dynamic working environment, employers keep bringing out a new list of desirable characters and skills that they want from prospective employees. As such, graduates find it difficult to showcase their achievements and market their skills according to the current need of prospective employers. In this article, we address the difficulties and recommend how it can be facilitated, by introducing the concept of an integrated portal and named it as an Integrated Graduate Portal (IGP). The concept is first explained, and the results of a user requirement study conducted are presented afterwards. The study was conducted to identify and gather the user requirements from the stakeholders, which was then selected and proposed to be used when developing the IGP prototype.
