Abstract

For knowing about the power sectors substations and distribution system this field study is more effective to us. In this report we described about the Dhaka Power Distribution Companies substations (Distribution transformer, Circuit breaker, Lightning arrester, Isolator, Insulator, Capacitor bank, Earthing, Busbar). We also described Network Operation and Customer Service (NOCS) and Maintenance. Like (About NOCS division , Power distribution system of NOCS, 132/11-kv grid substation ,33/11-kv substation, 11-kv line, LT line, Jumper, distribution transformer, Ring Main Unit (RMU), Feeder Single line diagram, Alternative feeders, Meter reading section, Computer billing system, New connection process, Prepaid metering system, Divisional control room, Divisional store, Citizen charter, Tariff rule, Tariff rates, Annual performance agreement (APA) targets, Geographical Information System (GIS), Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition (SCADA), Meter testing, Battery backup, etc).
