Nearby and location alarm app

Abstract

Now a days we live in an era of technology, smart phone become a part of our daily life. It is no longer a communication device only but also an essential part of our working life. Android is being popular day by day because of its flexible usability and open source development. At the current situation android hold almost 85% of total smartphone market. In our project we have developed an android based application named “Nearby and Location Alarm”, at this application we tried to combined various location based services. The main purpose of our application is to provide various location based services in one place. The app provides nearby service and it also has an alarm system that will work when user set the alarm to specific place and come near the place. The most interesting part about the alarm section is that it will work without any internet connection and provide the distance between user’s current location and destination randomly. We use java and xml for developing the app, Google also help us by providing APIs. The application won’t work in the android emulator because emulator doesn’t have GPS but it was tasted in various real android devices with version equal or greater than 5.1 and found working successfully.
